Roger Ailes Resigns as Fox News CEO

With most of the Fox News demographic tuned in this week to the Republican National Convention, one of the men most responsible for that network’s success has resigned.

It’s time to say goodbye to Roger Ailes.

Rumors Ailes leaving Fox News have been circulating for several days, following a lawsuit filed by ex-Fox & Friends co-host Gretchen Carlson.

The lawsuit alleges a number of inappropriate actions taken by Ailes against her, most of which were sexual in nature.

In these legal documents, Carlson claims that Ailes “sabotaged her career because she refused sexual advances and complained about severe and pervasive sexual harassment.”

She says Ailes suggested the pair carry on a sexual relationship and that, after Carlson refused, Ailes responded by firing her from her gig on Fox & Friends.

Carlson was eventually let go entirely late last month.

Despite a vehement denial of Carlson’s claims by Ailes, 21st Century Fox announced on Thursday that he has stepped down from his post.

In his place,  21st Century Fox’s executive chairman Rupert Murdoch will take over as chairman and acting CEO of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.

About a week after Carlson filed her lawsuit, reports surfaced that that Megyn Kelly had told 21st Century Fox’s independent investigators that, many years ago, Ailes had also made unwanted sexual advances toward her.

As an even bigger name than Carlson, and as someone who seemingly corroborated Carlson’s claims, this revelation appears to have sealed Ailes’ fate.

In announcing the Ailes’ news this afternoon, Murdoch praised him as having “made a remarkable contribution to our company and our country.”

He added that when he became founding CEO of Fox News, he “shared my vision of a great and independent television organization and executed it brilliantly over 20 great years.”

Ailes is yet to speak on the decision, but we can only hope he has something nice and inflammatory to soon say on his way out.

Ireland Baldwin Posts Naked Butt on Instagram; Alec Presumably Dead From Rage-Induced Heart Attack

After a brief respite from social media, Ireland Baldwin is back to getting naked on Instagram like it’s her job.

Which, come to think of it, it might be.

Does she have a job? Eh, who cares?

Normally we’re critical of spoiled children of celebrities who don’t even pretend to have aspirations toward acting, or singing, or some other form of cushy employment, but we’re gonna let this one slide.

This is a post-Kardashian world we’re living in, and if Ireland’s boobs can earn her a living, we say go for it.

And no, it’s not just because we enjoy the view.

We just reject the notion that talent is the only way for a celebrity kid to earn a living without resorting to the drudgery of actual employment.

If Evel Knievel and Johnny Knoxville made careers out of their willingness to risk their lives, why can’t Ireland make one out of her willingness to get naked?

Yes, we just compared Ireland Baldwin to Evel Knievel, and yes, we’re as confused by it as you are.

We’re also a little baffled by the origins of Ms. Baldwin’s latest artsy nude pic.

Apparently it’s from a series entitled My Hotel Room by a photographer named Aladdin Ishmael.

The dude literally invites models up to his hotel room so he can photograph them naked.

And here’s the really insane part – they do it!

He’s either the greatest genius or the biggest perv that ever lived. Or both.

Hopefully Ireland didn’t share this story at the dinner table:

Alec: So how was your weekend, honey?

Ireland: Some guy named Aladdin asked me to go up to his hotel room and get naked, so I did.

*family holds up protective garbage bags like they’re in the front row of a Gallagher show as Alec’s head literally explodes, covering the room with gray matter and jowls*
