Donald Trump Accepts Purple Heart, Draws Stunned Outrage

Donald Trump accomplished something very impressive in Virginia this week.

The Republican nominee for President managed to kick a baby out of a rally…

and then proceed to do something so much more callous that it made the whole baby-booting thing seem downright benevolent.

Speaking at a campaign event on Tuesday, Trump thanked an Iraq War veteran who had just given him his Purple Heart as a gift prior to taking the stage.

The Purple Heart, of course, is a medal bestowed upon members of our military who were injured during battle.

It"s one of the highest honors anyone can receive.

“I said to him, ‘Is that like the real one or is that a copy? And he said, ‘That’s my real Purple Heart. I have such confidence in you,’” Trump told supporters in Ashburn.

“And I said, ‘Man that’s big stuff.’ I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier, but I tell you it was such an honor.”

Yes, Donald Trump just joked that standing at a podium and being handed a Purple Heart was "easier" than actually enlisting and earning one on the ground.

Need we bother explaining why this comment has drawn such ire?

Trump received four draft deferments for college and one for “bone spurs in his heels” during the Vietnam War, The New York Times has reported.

He essentially did all he could to get out of fighting.

Among those aghast over Trump"s comment and his acceptance of the Purple Heart?

Sean Barney, a Democrat running for Congress in Delaware who was shot in the neck by a sniper while on patrol with the Marine Corps in Fallujah.

“Today, a Donald Trump supporter handed him a Purple Heart. Trump’s flippant and repugnant reply: ‘I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier,’” Barney wrote in a post on Facebook.

“As someone who fought for our country in Iraq, was injured, and was awarded a Purple Heart, I can tell you, no one should ever ‘want’ to get a Purple Heart.”

Khizr Khan, the father of late Army Captain Humayun S.M. Khan, also criticized Trump during an interview on CNN.

Addressing the Presidential candidate, Khan slammed him as follows:

“You had your chance. You escaped. You dodged the draft ― and now you want an ‘easy’ Purple Heart in your pocket?

"You should have pinned it back. Even now, call that man. I want his surrogates to call that man, thank him and put that Purple Heart back on that person’s chest.”

Pretty Little Liars Season 7 Episode 6 Recap: Who Done It?!?

There were grave consequences to a certain action on Pretty Little Liars Season 7 Episode 6.

And those grave consequences were this: someone is now dead.

So… which resident of Rosewood is no longer a resident of Rosewood? Or of Planet Earth?

Sara Harvey.

She’s gone in spirit (and in pulse and all that), but Sara’s bloody corpse is very much still in the bathtub of her room at The Radley, as she was discovered in the concluding moments of the episode by the world’s unluckiest maid. 

The question, of course, now turns to the identity of Sara’s killer. Jenna has to be the main suspect, right?

How many folks out there are still convinced she can actually see?

There’s also Noel Kahn, who returned last week and was then missing in action this week. Suspicious!

He’s either the culprit here or he’s the masked cop who attacked Alison. We’re (pretty) positive of that.

While we think of a eulogy to pen for Sara and while we lineup suspects in our mind, here are other things to note and consider from Pretty Little Liars Season 7 Episode 6:

Aria told Ezra all about Elliott’s murder, afraid she would scare him off, yet certain it needed to be said.

However, Ezra handled the stunning revelation like a champ, responding to this confession by proposing again. And she said yes!

(Is anyone really shocked? Ezra ain’t no saint, as those who watch Pretty Little Liars online know all too well. He would have been a major hypocrite if he judged Aria too harshly.)

Spencer and Toby were once again in tears. Why?

Because Spencer reconnected with Caleb, to whom she’ll forever be grateful for opening up her heart post-Toby.

Then came the final, official nail in the Spaleb coffin: Spencer pushed Hanna to tell Caleb about her split from Jordan. It was essentially a passing of the torch… with the torch being Caleb in this case.

Jenna informed Emily that she was (supposed) friends with Charlotte.

Mona had evidently built Jenna up in Charlotte’s view as some kind of “celebrity” and she alleged that all of her secret shenanigans have been to find out who truly killed Charlotte.

This explained her cellular connection to Elliott and her awareness that he was lying about his identity.

Finally, a police officer hooked up with Spencer. Who the heck is this dude?!? Any guesses as to whether he’ll be good, bad or somewhere in between?

Or is that a silly question to even ponder on Pretty Little Liars?

Javi Marroquin Shares Staged Photo, Gushes Over Kids

Javi Marroquin may or may not have cheated on Kailyn Lowry with her best friend.

And Javi Marroquin may or may not now be trolling for dates on Twitter.

But Javi Marroquin is definitely happy to see his kids.

The Teen Mom 2 star returned home from his deployment in the Air Force last month, walking in the door at one point and being greeted by his six-year old stepson, Isaac, and his two-year old biological son, Lincoln.

Marroquin shared a photo of the reunion on Instagram and included with it a very sweet caption that reads:

“My world in one picture.”

Of course, the scene would be a tad more sentimental if we couldn’t so obviously see the MTV cameraman in the foreground, filming this supposedly spontaneous meeting.

The staged set-up doesn’t make Isaac, holding a “Welcome Home” sign, any less adorable.

Nor does it make Lincoln and his big smile any less precious.

But when you know you’ll be able to watch Teen Mom 2 online next season and see this scenario play out, well… that takes away at least a little bit of the emotion.

It feels more like a scripted moment than a true moment of parental joy.

After several roller coaster months, Lowry and Marroquin finally confirmed their plans to divorce in May.

Since then, Marroquin has been accused of stepping out on Lowry in multiple occasions, prompting the couple’s eventual split.

Lowry, meanwhile, has been suspected of having a same-sex relationship with a woman actually named Becky Hayter.

We’re not sure what to believe, except that this is all very hard on the two most important people involved here: Issac and Lincoln.

Lowry shares custody of Isaac with her ex, Jo Rivera, who also appears on the hit MTV docuseries.

But Marroquin has grown very close to the toddler.

“[Isaac’s] my best friend,” Javi said during the June 20 reunion episode of Teen Mom 2, adding at the time that he wants “all of us to be together” and blaming Lowry’s stubbornness for their divorce.

Although Lowry still contends she plans to dissolve the couple’s nearly four-year marriage, the 24-year old did welcome her estranged husband back home via a sweet message via social media.

“Welcome back! @javim9,” she wrote on Instagram yesterday.

Sadly, she wrote it as a caption to the same staged photo we’ve featured above.
