T.I. & Tiny: Divorce Drama Saves show from Cancellation!

VH1 is not quite ready to let go of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle

Apparently, the network met with the producers with the intention of canceling the show, but the producers pretty much sold their soul to get the show back on the air.

Kidding aside, the network’s 180 was down to the fact the producers promised the show would be filled with a lot of drama now that T.I and Tiny are divorcing.

In December, Tiny filed for divorce from T.I. after six years of marriage. Viewers were not impressed that it was foreshadowed by the couple filming most of Season 5 separately.

We are now hearing that part of the deal included the couple shooting more scenes together. That is not entirely a bad thing.

Viewers love to watch the drama unfold on reality TV so that could result in increased ratings for the show. The show has never reached the mass appeal or recognition of the Love & Hip Hop franchise.

Apparently, Tiny is in no rush to finalize the divorce, so this could be the proof VH1 needed that there is going to be a lot of drama ahead for the pair.

It’s unclear whether the new season will continue to go for bigger episode orders, or if the network opted for a shorter order to judge how audiences react to the new dynamics.

T.I. and Tiny kicked off their relationship way back in 2001. They got married in 2010 and have three children together.

The pair will be ecstatic about the renewal.

The show will help keep both of them in the public eye, and they will probably get a lot more recognition now that they’re going the divorce route.

Hey, they need to do something to keep them being talked about.

What do you think about all of this?

Teen Mom 4: Actually Coming to MTV!

Will the Teen Mom franchise ever conclude on MTV?

If a recent casting call is anything to go by, no.

MTV is looking to launch a fourth iteration of the popular reality series. In addition, a casting call was released for a new season of the show that started it all: 16 & Pregnant.

When you think about it, it’s actually a good idea. Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 are still on the air, with the likes of Farrah Abraham, Jenelle Evans and Leah Messer giving viewers much to talk about.

With the two editions getting older, it makes perfect sense for MTV to try to find their next batch of young mothers to exploit and edit to look like terrible mothers.

The official casting call for Teen Mom 4 reads:

MTV is casting for a new season of the thought-provoking documentary series Teen Mom. This hit series follows the journeys of strong-willed and opinionated women who faced an unexpected pregnancy as a teen and now, in their early 20’s, are navigating the difficulties of raising a child.

Our goal is to give viewers a look inside the realities of motherhood — from balancing school and/or work responsibilities to navigating incredibly difficult decisions and relationships with boyfriends and parents. MTV is looking for young mothers from diverse backgrounds who had children in their late teens and those children are now between the ages of 4 and 7; who would like to share their dramatic personal stories about their complicated journeys.

If you are outspoken, unfiltered and funny, we want to hear from you! Please email us as soon as possible at MTVTeenMom2017@gmail.com. Include the city and state you live in, your contact details, a picture and the reason why you’d like to share your story as part of the Teen Mom series. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants should appear to be between the ages of 16 and 25.

With Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 already part of the roster, the network will be looking to make this version a success.

Teen Mom 3 was the most recent addition to the franchise, but poor ratings concerned the network and the show never made the cut for a second run.

If you recall, the cast members engaged in a bitter feud with the stars of the other two series in the franchise. They were clearly bitter about the fact their show was canceled.

The casting call for 16 & Pregnant reads:

MTV is casting for the thought-provoking documentary series “16 and Pregnant.” This series follows the journeys of young women as they face unexpected pregnancies and navigate the difficulties of becoming parents at a young age.

Our goal is to give viewers a look inside the realities of teen pregnancy — from morning sickness and balancing school responsibilities to navigating incredibly difficult decisions and relationships with boyfriends and/or parents, ultimately to the day of the baby’s arrival and beyond.

MTV is looking for young women from varying backgrounds who are facing an unplanned pregnancy and would like to share their personal story about this life-changing and complicated journey.

If you would like to share your story in order to raise awareness about this issue, please email us as soon as possible at 16andPregnantCasting2017@gmail.com. Include the city and state you live in and the reason why you’d like to share your story as part of “16 and Pregnant.” Applicants must be at least 16 years of age as of February 1, 2017 to apply.

16 & Pregnant has not been on the air since 2014, but there have been rumblings over the past few years that MTV always planned to reboot the franchise.

The Teen Mom franchise is the only one that’s doing well for the Viacom-owned network right now. Both series on the air now are managing to hit the sweet spot with the young demographics.

The same cannot be said for the network’s scripted slate. The network’s highest rated drama this season is Teen Wolf, but it averaged just a 0.2 rating among adults 18-49 for the first half of Season 6.

That’s a fraction of what the Teen Mom franchise is pulling in, so look for MTV to continue to get rid of their scripted slate and move more towards reality TV.

Leah Messer: Pregnant With FOURTH Child?!

Is Leah Messer pregnant with her fourth child?

That rumor surfaced this week, courtesy of a scene on Monday night’s Teen Mom 2 and a live stream quote from her third child, Adalynn.

Predictably, Twitter is just about losing its mind.

With Jenelle Evans and Chelsea Houska both having given birth in January, and Kailyn Lowry pregnant, was Messer feeling left out?!

We kid, but if Leah were expecting right now, all four Teen Mom 2 stars would’ve been pregnant at some point in 2017, which is just …

Not sure what superlative to use there, even.

In any case, the rumor got started during a Facebook live video (see above) in which Leah’s daughter Addie seemingly spills the beans.

She whispers to her, “tell them ’bout the baby in your tummy,” and then Addie says it again, though the first time is more clearly audible.

Leah didn’t react at all to Addie’s comments, but the 24-year-old began to struggle with the camera, and deleted the Facebook video.

Then there was this on Teen Mom 2

Sonogram photos were seen on Leah’s refrigerator, naturally causing fans to wonder if she could possibly be pregnant with her fourth.

Regarding those ultrasound images above, the MTV scene in question was filmed at the time when Leah’s sister Victoria was pregnant.

She was possibly living with Leah as well, according to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, so there’s a great chance that the pics are hers.

Even if the sonograms aren’t of Victoria’s baby, they could be old ones of Leah’s (it’s possible), as the baby is clearly pretty well developed.

As for Addie’s video, Leah eventually addressed the speculation caused by her daughter with Jeremy Calvert, telling fans on Twitter:

“I am definitely not [pregnant],” Leah wrote.

“I have the IUD.”

“Kids say the craziest things,” Leah wrote one fan, adding:

“Side note: you have to be sexually active to get pregnant.”

Ouch! An amusing way to shoot down the rumor for sure.

As for the obvious question: Is Leah telling the truth?

It’s a fair one to ask, given how her co-stars Jenelle and Kailyn recently lied or dodged questions pertaining to their own third pregnancies.

According to The Ashley, however, Leah isn’t pregnant.

“She has never mentioned anything to the crew, and there have been no indications at all that she’s expecting,” one source reports.

Leah

“She’s really, really thin right now, too,” the source adds.

“There is absolutely not tummy whatsoever.”

Recent Leah Messer weight loss photos have surprised fans, even sparking (false) rumors that she has a drug problem once again.

She doesn’t have a drug problem, let’s just repeat that again. But if anything, she’s looking less pregnant these days than ever before.

Another source says that Leah is flat-out denying it when asked to her face, as well as with comments on her private Facebook (above).

“She’s not pregnant,” another source says.

Probably for the best. We can now put this rumor to rest and go back to debating whether these are inappropriately disturbing photos of her kids.

The Voice Recap: Battling for Team Members

If the 12th season premiere of The Voice managed to show us some great singers, the second episode upped the ante.

With such great singers in the mix, it led to some tough decisions for the likes of Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton.

Did they all get to add the performers they wanted to their roster of singers that would take them deep into the competition?

With ratings still flying high, it’s clear that viewers will tune in for The Voice no matter how many editions are on the air every year.

Do we care about the singing, or is it the differing dynamics amongst the judges that keep us tuning in?

In short, we have no idea, but we still keep watching. There’s something oddly addictive about watching these people bicker over who they want in their team.

Of course, it’s not malicious bickering.

Let’s run down the auditions that went well…

Autumn Turner

25-year-old Autumn went with “Last Dance” by Donna Summer. Autumn started things right with a pitch-perfect rendition of the classing song.

You could tell she was passionate about singing and managed to get all four chairs turned around, ready to fight for her.

It seemed like Adam’s positive language was going to win him the girl, but Alicia emerged with the win. Alicia is known for her beautiful high notes and Autumn should be nurtured well by the singer.

Jesse Larson

34-year-old Larson went with “Jealous Guy” by John Lennon. Adam was the only person impressed with the performance, but it was evident why: Steel guitar!

Adam has a knack for turning for singers that sound like something from Maroon 5. Hey, he’s probably best doing that because he gets to work with people that could benefit from his tips.

“I hear CeeLo Green in there. I hear the proficiency of Eddie Van Halen sometimes,” he says of the decision to choose Larson.

Aliyah Moulden

15-year-old Moulden went with “Hound Dog” by Big Mama Thornton and, boy, did she deliver. It was unbelievable, and she was vying for a spot on Team Alicia.

When Gwen, Alicia, and Blake turn around, Blake managed to swoop in when he let her know he was experienced in helping the younger generation find their place in the music industry.

“To be that calm in this setting at 15 years old, that’s who I want on my team,” he tells her.

Savannah Leighton

16-year-old Savannah was very nervous, yet still managed to sing “Unconditionally” by Katy Perry. It was not the best of the night. It was the worst.

This was down to Savannah’s nerves, but Blake and Gwen knew there was a good singer in there. They just needed to work on the nerves.

In the end, Savannah opted to join Team Gwen.

Lilli Passero

Lilli Passero sang “A Love of My Own” by Carla Thomas. There was something about that sounded very original. Her pitch went a little too high at one point.

For the most part, it was great, and she went to Team Alicia.

With two episodes in the can, it’s time to recap who the coaches are taking with them to the next stage of the competition:

  • Team Adam: Johnny Hayes, Mark Isaiah, Jesse Larson

  • Team Alicia: Anatalia Villaranda, Felicia Temple, Autumn Turner, Lilli Passero

  • Team Gwen: Joshua Hunter, Stephanie Rice, Savannah Leighton

  • Team Blake, Lauren Duski, Brennley Brown, Aliyah Moulden

What did you think of the performers who made it through to the next stage of the competition?
