7-Year-Old Saves Toddler From Drowning

When a toddler slipped into a family pool, only his 7-year-old brother noticed.

Still a child himself, he rushed to help without hesitation.

And the entire story, from the near-tragedy to the heroic rescue, was caught on video for the world to see!

Pool rescue 01

At a private residence in Sao Luis, Maranhao, Brazil, a little boy fell into his family"s swimming pool.

Almost no one heard anything. But one person leapt into action.

His heroic rescuer was not a lifeguard or parent or even an adult. He was a child himself at only 7 years old.

As his aunt explained when she posted the video that you"ll see below, he raced to rescue his toddler brother.

Anyone who grew up as an older sibling will understand how powerful the instinct to protect your younger sibling can be.

In this case, there is no doubt that he saved his brother"s life.

Pool rescue 02

The aunt writes:

"My 7-year-old nephew was drawing and heard the noise in the pool."

As you"ll see in the video, he quickly sprang into action.

"He had the most incredible reaction for a child of 7 years."

And it"s so fortunate that he did.

"Neither I nor my sister heard the noise just the desperate cries of my nephew."

Because this is what had happened to the precious little toddler.

Pool rescue 03

As you will see in the video, it looks like he wanders off in a matter of seconds.

Young children have short attention spans and a lot of energy. A moment taken to look for something in the refrigerator or answer a phone call is all that it takes for a child to vanish.

Most of the time, you"ll just find them playing with a toy or trying to get a coveted snack.

If you have something as potentially dangerous as a pool, however, all that it takes is a few seconds for the child to wander off and a few minutes of not being able to find them for that misstep to be fatal.

As you can see, it appears that the toddler reaches for something but, being a toddler, slips into the pool without making much noise.

Within seconds, his 7-year-old brother is there to save the day.

Pool rescue 04

The brother even makes sure that his little sibling is the first out of the pool.

They then go and tell a bewildered adult what has happened.

It is worth noting that one of the problems in this situation is the diaper.

Children do not psychically know how to swim (let"s not weigh into the water birth debate right now, please), but survival instincts can help some children figure it out really quickly.

That said, diapers can act as flotation devices, preventing a baby or toddler from getting their face above water.

Toddlers who fall into pools with a diaper on are at extreme risk.

Pool rescue 05

The aunt of these two children shared the video as a warning to other parents.

But also because the 7-year-old"s heroics deserve praise.

He did what any older sibling would do in a heartbeat, but he deserves recognition for that.

Take a look at the full video below to see just how quickly things can go wrong.

And also how quickly things can go right.

Hero Dog Leaps Into Water, Saves Deer from Drowining

Dogs are generally considered Man"s Best Friend.

For good reason: they are as loyal as it gets when it comes to their human owners.

But the following photos, video and explanation describes a situation in which one canine in particular is loyal to a deer it had never met before… so much so that it jumps into a lake and rescues its fellow animal from drowning.

Seriously!

Scroll down to learn more…

1. This is Storm

This is storm

He’s an English golden retriever who lives in Long Island.

2. There’s Trouble Out There!

Theres trouble out there

He was out for a walk with his owner and his fellow dog, Sara, when he noticed something in the water and just jumped in. It was a baby deer.

3. Got It!

Got it

“Storm plunged into the water and started swimming out to the fawn, grabbed it by the neck, and started swimming to shore,” said owner Mark Freeley, who grabbed his phone and started filming.

4. Is He Okay?!?

Is he okay

As you’ll see in the amazing video below, Storm didn’t merely rescue the fawn. He was clearly agitated over its state, crying until it showed signs of life.

5. Yikes!

Yikes

Storm’s show of concern actually scared the young animal, which shot up and ran back out into the water. Thankfully, by now, others had arrived on scene and one man swam out to make a second rescue.

6. Got Him! Again!

Got him again

Frank Floridia of Strong Island Rescue said it took about eight minutes and a rope to get a hold of the deer. He understood what Storm went through, first during the rescue and then afterward, making sure the fawn was unharmed.

Jon Gosselin Saves Woman From House Fire in Daring Rescue!

Jon Gosselin’s life hasn’t gone exactly as planned. The guy’s a household name, but his latest job is working as a stripper.

That job can bring a good income, but it can’t be what he’d imagined for himself.

But now he’s saved a woman’s life — and both of her dogs!

Despite what his reputation in recent years might suggest, Jon Gosselin isn’t completely worthless.

As reported by RadarOnline, “Jon saw a house on fire in his neighborhood and called 911.”

Just making the call is pretty standard fare, but still more than what some people would do.

The story doesn’t end there, though.

“But that’s not all — he banged on the door and got the woman out and then went back in to get her two dogs, too!”

If there’s one thing that America loves more than a total underdog hero, it’s actual literal dogs.

America also loves modesty, and apparently Jon’s being all kinds of bashful when asked about his heroics.

“Thanks but I’m not a hero. I’m sure it was just circumstance and any one of us would have done the same thing.”

That might be true — knocking on the door to alert someone isn’t quite a superhuman feat.

But plenty of folks would consider it above-and-beyond.

You have to wonder why he couldn’t get his life together enough to rescue his own kids from the human equivalent of a housefire that reigns over them.

We’ve known for a long time that Kate Gosselin is an absolute monster, so this can’t have been news to him at any point.

Maybe, in the beginning, he thought that their show would mellow her out, if simply because cameras were watching.

The couple’s been divorced now for ages, but it’s clear that things haven’t really changed.

Kate’s controlling grip over her children is alarming and continues to this day.

We guess, though, that — like the rest of us — Jon isn’t really in a position to change that.

And while we can only imagine how powerless he must feel, maybe being able to help this woman and her dogs gave him a little boost for his own emotional well-being.

It’s too bad that he can’t do anything for his own family.

But maybe some day, circumstances will change.

T.I. & Tiny: Divorce Drama Saves show from Cancellation!

VH1 is not quite ready to let go of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle

Apparently, the network met with the producers with the intention of canceling the show, but the producers pretty much sold their soul to get the show back on the air.

Kidding aside, the network’s 180 was down to the fact the producers promised the show would be filled with a lot of drama now that T.I and Tiny are divorcing.

In December, Tiny filed for divorce from T.I. after six years of marriage. Viewers were not impressed that it was foreshadowed by the couple filming most of Season 5 separately.

We are now hearing that part of the deal included the couple shooting more scenes together. That is not entirely a bad thing.

Viewers love to watch the drama unfold on reality TV so that could result in increased ratings for the show. The show has never reached the mass appeal or recognition of the Love & Hip Hop franchise.

Apparently, Tiny is in no rush to finalize the divorce, so this could be the proof VH1 needed that there is going to be a lot of drama ahead for the pair.

It’s unclear whether the new season will continue to go for bigger episode orders, or if the network opted for a shorter order to judge how audiences react to the new dynamics.

T.I. and Tiny kicked off their relationship way back in 2001. They got married in 2010 and have three children together.

The pair will be ecstatic about the renewal.

The show will help keep both of them in the public eye, and they will probably get a lot more recognition now that they’re going the divorce route.

Hey, they need to do something to keep them being talked about.

What do you think about all of this?

Sound off below!

Random Act of Kindness Saves Christmas for One Shopper

The holidays are a time when families come together to exchange gifts and have a wonderful meal with one another.

Searching for those gifts can be a tiring affair, with shops struggling to keep their stock levels up with the mammoth amounts of shoppers at this time of year.

A woman named Jemma found herself in a tough spot when she picked out gifts for her friends and family in one of the Lush stores in Manchester, England.

Lush Bethany

She found herself embarrassed when her card was declined when she tried to pay for the goods.

Everyone has been there at one point in their life and we all know just how embarrassing it can be.

When the card declined for a second time, Jemma decided the best course of action would be for her to hit the local ATM and withdraw cash to pay for the gifts.

Upon her return, Jemma was shocked to learn that the gifts she left behind the till had already been paid for by someone who was in the store at the time Jemma’s card was declined.

Jemma was understandably shocked when she laid eyes on the receipt, which read: “I know how stressful this time of year can be! Have a great Christmas! Bethany xxx.”

It’s definitely one of the more heartwarming stories of the year and Jemma REALLY wants to find Bethany to thank her in person, so she’s using the power of social media to try and help her locate the do-gooder.

“I was in shock and asked her who the woman was I went round looking for her which I couldn’t find her I just wanted to say thank you and I really appreciate what she has done!!” wrote Jemma in a Facebook post, shared to the Trafford Centre’s Facebook page by Zara Chowdhury.

How amazing is this story?

Seriously, it’s people like Bethany that show us the world is still a great place.

For someone to go out of their way like that and help someone they don’t even know, it’s very rare.

What do you think about all of this?

Man Punches Kangaroo, Saves Dog in Australia

Do not let their pouches, their ability to stand on two feet or their faces fool you:

Kangaroos are not always cuddly and adorable.

Especially when it comes to dogs, with whom kangaroos in Australia have an especially contentious relationship.

One man and his canine, Max, have gone viral after finding this out the hard (and sort of hilarious) way.

In the following video, a friends friends are on a hunting trip organized for one of their pals, who had recently been diagnosed with cancer.

This sick friend wanted to catch a boar, so the group traveled to New South Wales, with someone filming footage from the vacation in order to share with the cancer patient’s family.

When one of the hunting dogs got snared by the kangaroo, a zookeeper at Westerns Plains Zoo named Greg Tonkins jumped into action.

As you"re about to see, he circled the marsupial like a boxer, landed one shot directly to the animal"s face and successfully rescued the dog, who ran away to safety while the kangaroo stood there dazed.

You can tell he"s thinking: Did this guy really punch me in the face?!?

He then turns and walks away.

We"re not making any of this up.

Nine-Year-Old Boy Saves Baby Brother"s Life: Watch The Amazing Video!

This video is really, truly, sincerely amazing.

Seriously, get your tissues, because you"re about to feel all kinds of feelings.

This video shows footage from a nanny cam — the little camera was able to catch a little boy saving his baby brother"s life when he rolled off a changing table.

The mother of the family, Tila Levi, has five children, including 11-month-old twins Eitan and Eliana and nine-year-old Joseph.

She"s bound to be very busy with that many kids, and accidents are bound to happen, and so she found herself looking away from baby Eitan after placing him on a changing table.

The baby rolled over, as babies tend to do, and the results could have been devastating, if it weren"t for the quick reflexes of Joseph.

It"s terrifying to watch, and Tila says it"s "not my proudest moment as a mom," but she "wanted to create awareness and show that our lives can be changed when you"re doing something like grabbing the baby wipes."

She said that in the middle of changing the baby, she turned to speak to one of her other children, and that"s when little Eitan got feisty.

Luckily, Joseph was there to save the day.

"We tried to reward him for what happened," Tila says.

"We said "You can pick anything you want, we want to buy you a present." He said "For what? For saving my brother? I don"t need a present for that.""

Check out the incredible footage below:

Man Trips On LSD, Saves Dog From Imaginary House Fire, Gets Arrested

We can say this about Michael Orchard:

His heart was in the right place last week.

But his mind? Well… we’re not entirely sure where his mind was.

A resident of a town called Halfmoon, which is located near Albany, Orchard took what he believed to be heroic action last Thursday after his neighbor’s home caught fire.

Afraid that his neighbor’s dog would perish in the flames, Orchard bravely broke into the residence and pulled the puppy out safely.

Hooray, right? Not exactly.

See, the house was not actually on fire.

Instead, state troopers have confirmed that Orchard was actually tripping on a potent mixture of LSD and cough syrup.

He was hallucinating the blaze next door, with trooper Mark Cepiel telling local network NewsChannel 13:

“He believed that the residence was on fire and he was rescuing the dog.”

Which would be fine and swell and not some horrible crime, except for the following piece of information:

Orchard initially pounded on the doors of other neighbors in a desperate attempt to alert them to the fire that was blazing just a few homes down.

(Which, again, remember, only existed in his drug-riddled mind.)

After he received no answer and/or after the neighbors failed to respond with the proper panic, Orchard allegedly drove his BMW sedan through his neighbor’s fence.

He then broke into the home via the back door to grab the canine.

LSD GIF

It was a very nice gesture overall. We can respect the sentiment.

But police clearly had no choice but to arrest Orchard and charge him with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree burglary.

Cepiel said Orchard won’t face drug charges, however, because he didn’t drive on the road and was not found carrying any illegal substances.

Officers also described Orchard as “very cooperative” following his arrest.

He was arraigned in Halfmoon Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail on $ 15,000 bail.

The dog, meanwhile, was unharmed. Which would have been true no matter what, of course, because there was never any fire.

But if there had been?!? Orchard was on the case!

Anthony Kiedis Saves a Baby"s Life During Carpool Karaoke

Earlier this week, Red Hot Chili Peppers fans were treated to 15 minutes of song, anecdotes and man wrestling when the band participated in a round of "Carpool Karaoke" with James Corden.

But what we didn"t see was the part where Anthony Kiedis saved a baby"s life.

The front man became a hero during filming, right after a dance-off that was edited out of the final version.

In an interview with the UK"s Radio X, Kiedis recounts the story:

"We had a very interesting unscripted moment. We danced-off, we tied and then we were going to celebrate with some Mexican food on the corner.

"And a woman came out of her house holding a child, saying "my baby, my baby, my baby can"t breathe!"

"We all ran across the street. The lady thrust the baby into my arms. The baby was not breathing."

Kiedis, who is a father, instinctively tried CPR to try and get the infant breathing again.

"I thought, "I"m going to try and do a little baby CPR real quick to see if I can get some air into this kid.

"I tried to open the mouth. Shut – locked shut.

"So I started rubbing the belly, bubbles started coming out of the mouth, the eyes rolled back into place.

"The ambulance showed up and I handed the baby over who was breathing and fine."

Pretty incredible. Okay, we totally now forgive him for that mustache.

Last month, Kiedis was rushed to the hospital just hours before taking the stage at a concert in Los Angeles, forcing the band to cancel their appearance.

It turned out to be inflammation in the gut, which was complicated by a stomach virus and scar tissue.

Luckily, Kiedis and the baby seem to be doing fine now.

Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 9 Recap: Nia Saves the Day?

On an explosive Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 9 last night on Lifetime, Brynn and Maddie were forced to go up against Kalani and Kendall.

Meanwhile, Ashlee fills in for Abby’s newly-fired office manager.

At the onset of Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 9, Abby gave two sets of students duets, but not everyone on the elite roster was loving it.

Not surprisingly for those who watch Dance Moms online, and know anything about Abby Lee Miller, she wasn’t afraid to ruffle feathers.

She gave Maddie Ziegler and Brynn Rumfallo a lyrical duet, while her “strongest dancers,” Kendall Vertes and Kalani Hilliker, got a jazz duo.

However, in rehearsals, Kalani suffered an injury and Nia Frazier stepped in to fill her spot. Meanwhile, Maddie and Brynn were flawless.

When the episode is titled “Nia Saves the Day,” you have some idea of how that’s going to go. But it didn’t look so promising early on.

Kendall and Nia were reduced to tears backstage as things looked dire just one day before the big performance she was asked to deliver.

“You didn’t let everyone down,” her mother told her, however, “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed. Of course I’m disappointed.”

“You’re a better dancer than what was onstage.”

Kendall’s mom, Jill Vertes, thanked Nia for stepping in, then unloade on Abby with her true feelings about the issue in the dressing room.

Basically, she felt that Miller sabotaged them.

“You win, Abby. That’s what you wanted to do. You wanted to humiliate the girls and you did,” Jill tells Abby. “It’s not fair to Kendall.”

“It’s not fair to Nia that you put that onstage.”

When Abby suggests that the mother-daughter duo “get over” it, Jill reminds Abby she is responsible for what she puts out into the world.

“I hope you’re happy with yourself,” Jill responds.

“She’s very happy with herself,” Kendall adds.

Jill notes that all students should have an equal chance to shine and “feel good about themselves,” while Abby isn’t buying that theory.

“I wasn’t put on this earth just to make your kid feel good,” Miller fires back. “I was put on this earth to teach her how to dance. Period.”

Damn. Abby later tells the cameras she thinks Jill has “lost her mind.” Would that be all the team is losing this week on Lifetime, hopefully?

At the ceremony, Nia and Kendall earned second place in the teen duo/trio division, while Maddie and Brynn took first in the junior division.

Prince Harry Is a Hero, Saves Woman Knocked Over By Gust of Wind

Prepare yourselves, ladies, for Prince Harry has behaved most gallantly today.

The royal traveled up to Bath, England to attend the UK team trials for the 2nd annual Invictus Games.

According to People Magazine, RAF medic Anna Pollock – who suffered a spontaneous spinal bleed left her partially paraplegic – was competing in the cycling event and had a chat with Harry.

“I saw him and thought I’ve got to take the opportunity to ask for a picture,” she told reporters

“I was just putting my gloves back on and sat back in my chair when the wind took me over.”

Harry and few others rushed over to help Pollock back into her chair.

“Harry said to me ‘What did you do that for?!’

“I said, ‘To show you how not to do that!"” Pollock joked.

“He was so lovely to help me and he gives so much. He makes all the lads and the lasses feel important,” she added.

Harry ran into an old comrade, Nathan Cumbeland, with whom he trained for his 2009 tour of Afghanistan.

“It’s always good to see the ginger muppet,” Cumberland joked.

“He doesn’t have to come here but he does and that’s great. It gives everyone a boost,” Cumberland told reporters.

“He’s one of the lads – he’s been there and done it.”

Harry is very involved with helping wounded vets, and last year started the Invictus Games, which brings together injured servicemen and women in a Paralympic-style competition.

This year’s event will take place in Orlando, FL from May 8th-12th.

Jamie Foxx Saves a Life, Denies Being a Hero

Jamie Foxx has restored our faith in humanity.

The Oscar winner saved Brett Kyle, 32, from being burned in a car crash.

At around 8:30pm local time on January 18th, the car skidded on a wet road in Hidden Valley, a town northeast of Los Angeles.  It then hit a ditch and flipped over in front of Foxx"s property.

The star reacted quickly, first calling 911 and then going to see if Kyle was ok. When Foxx realized he was unconscious and slumped over, he felt the car and knew that it would soon go up in flames.

So, Foxx broke through the car window, cut off the seatbelt and was able to drag Kyle to safety before it was too late.

In a segment on NBC4 Los Angeles, Foxx humbly recounted his heroic efforts, explaining step-by-step what he did and what he saw in the car.

"I don"t look at it as heroic, I look at it as I just had to do something," Foxx told NBC4 News of what he did.

"I said "you got angels around you." "

The victim"s father got emotional as he thanked Foxx for saving his son"s life.

"it doesn"t matter to me who it was or what they do for a living," Brett Kyle told news crews.

"Just the idea that someone would do that, is so much more than I can fathom."

Foxx posted an Instagram of himself with Brad after the accident.

Met the father of the young man from last night today. This is all that matters," Foxx wrote.

"That a man, a son, a brother"s life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us…No heroes…Just happy fathers."
