Bruno Mars on Carpool Karaoke: Was It 24K Magic?

Bruno Mars has performed on Ellen, on Saturday Night Live and a halftime of the Super Bowl.

But now the artist has truly made it.

Because he appeared on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden on Tuesday night!

The insanely talented artist say shotgun alongside The Late Late Show host, mere days after Madonna did the same.

But Mars was able to hold his own against The Material Girl rather well, taking viewers on a funky journey through some of his greatest hits, from "Locked Out of Heaven" to "Versace on the Floor" to "Uptown Funk" to "If I Knew" to, of course, "24K Magic," his latest single.

Mars and Corden also found time to talk about the former’s ability to make any hat look good… his unusual dressing room demands … and why Spanx are an issue in Corden’s love life.

Yes, Spanx.

A few dance tips were provided, a few "shoulder moves" undertaken and one Elvis impression blew us away.

At what age did Mars start to impersonate The King?

And how did he used to rely on cards to pay rent?

Madonna Sings Carpool Karaoke, Shares MJ Shocker

Life was not a mystery for Madonna on Wednesday night.

Based on days of hype and sneak peeks, we knew exactly what to expect from the iconic singer during her appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden:

CARPOOL KARAOKE!

Indeed, the Material Girl followed in the talented and hilarious steps of such artists as Adele, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga by sitting shotgun with the CBS host and helping him lip-sync a number of her classic hits.

The segment opened with the pair dancing to Vogue, with some Twerking to "Bitch I"m Madonna" soon following.

After talking about how the Vatican ex-communicated the artist at one point, Corden and Madonna sang, “Papa Don’t Preach.”

Next, they belted out “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” from the musical Evita, as well as her smash hit “Express Yourself.”

There was a discussion about Madonna"s love interests and her types of men over the years, along with some mockery of Corden"s fashion sense.

Aside from also singing "Ray of Light" and "Music," Madonna admitted that she once kissed Michael Jackson after she got him to "loosen up with a glass of Chardonnay."

WHOA THERE!

What else did the stars gossip about? Where does this Carpool Karaoke rank among the all-time best?

Britney Spears Sings Carpool Karaoke!

Oops, James Corden has done it again!

The Late Late Show host has conducted yet another version of Carpool Karaoke, doing it this time with the unoffiical, all-time Queen of Pop Music:

Britney Spears!

Aside from just singing many of Britney"s smash hits with the artist, Corden posed a few pressing questions to Britney.

He asked about the origins of "Oops I Did It Again." He asked what it"s like for Britney"s kids to see her dance all sexy. He asked what her hotel alias names are.

At one point, Corden dressed up like a Catholic School Girl.

And we may be the same ever again as a result.

Does Spears want more children? Yes.

But does she want to get married again? No.

Among the tracks covered by Spears and Corden? "Toxic,” “Womanizer,” “Make Me,” and “Baby One More Time."

Elsewhere during the fun ride, Corden admitted to once seeing his mother in her underwear when he was a child and being unable to “shake the image from my brain.”

Spears playfully slapped him in response, telling the British talk show host, “You’re so dirty!”

From there, they talked about bondage and tickling, as well as the fake name Anita Dick.”

Wait… what?!? You"ll need to watch the following video to understand.

Carpool Karaoke, of course, has become one of the most popular segments on late-night television.

Past participants have included Jennifer Lopez, Adele, Justin Bieber and Michelle Obama.

U.S. Swimmers Take Carpool Karaoke to Olympic Heights

The Opening Ceremony for the 2016 Summer Olympics will air live from Brazil on Friday night.

But we don"t need to see thousands of world class athletes parading around with their flags to get us in the mood for these epic Games.

A handful of U.S swimmers have gone ahead and done the inspiring deed for us already… carpool karaoke style!

In the following piece of amazing footage, Olympians Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Nathan Adrian, Elizabeth Beisel, Caeleb Dressel and others have teamed up for the ultimate take on James Corden"s classic segment.

The begins with Dressel and Beisel asking everyone to buckle up. Safety first, people.

Safety, always.

From there, the group breaks into some Taylor Swift, briefly Shaking It Off, before Phelps, in another vehicle, asks if anyone is going to play some music during their drive.

Next up, we have a a car packed full of female Olympians… who plead NOT to select “Call Me Maybe” as their karaoke song.

It"s been done before, that"s all. Many times. No offense to Carly Rae Jepsen.

The talented women therefore opt for Fifth Harmony’s “BO$ $ .” Solid selection.

Around the five-minute mark, Nathan Adrian bursts out in song-and-dance while performing the Pokémon theme song in a way we never thought was possible.

It almost makes the whole Pokemon GO craze worthwhile.

There are plenty of Lochte dance moves to enjoy, a few more Pokemon references and just an epic video to enjoy overall.

Sit back and take it all in now:

Michelle Obama Sings Carpool Karaoke: WATCH NOW!

Michelle Obama didn"t have time to worry about Melania Trump stealing her words this week.

That"s because the First Lady was a bit busy… singing some carpool karaoke with James Corden!

At the outset of this segment, we saw Corden pick Obama up from The White House and make funny small talk with her until the two broke into a few versions of a few major hits.

They danced along to Stevie Wonder"s "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I"m Yours" and Beyoncé"s "Single Ladies," for example, and then sang "This Is For My Girls."

The latter is the power anthem inspired by the Let Girls Learn initiative and the 62 million girls around the globe who do not have access to education.

"We just dropped the mic into the hive," Obama said in response to their take on Beyonce, hilariously adding:

"We were making honey in the Beyhive. We were making honey to put in our Lemonade."

Obama also admitted it was only the second time in seven-and-a-half years that she"s "been in the passenger seat, listening to music, rocking out like this."

(The other time? A few months ago when daughter Malia was learning to drive.)

After discussing the First Couple"s Secret Service code names (she"s Renaissance, her husband is Renegade) – along with the First Lady joining Snapchat to document a trip to Liberia, Morocco and Spain in support of her Let Girls Learn initiative – Missy Elliott suddenly appeared in the back seat.

Yes, Missy Elliott!!!!

The unexpected trio sang "This Is for My Girls" before launching into the singer"s 2001 hit "Get Ur Freak On."

Simply put, it was awesome.

Previous stars to have joined Corden for Carpool Karaoke have included Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato, Adele and Justin Bieber.

Check out a few of their performances here:

Selena Gomez Sings Carpool Karaoke!

Selena Gomez has officially made it.

Yes, she"s a best-selling artist. Yes, she has seen Justin Bieber naked. Yes, she sells our stadiums around the country.

But Gomez appeared this week on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. And that"s grown into as much a sign of major success as nearly anything in pop culture.

While Corden has co-starred in this Late Late Show segment with numerous other stars, he and Selena became the first tandem to make a pit stop on the way to work this time around.

Where did they go prior to reaching the studio?

An amusement park! For a ride on a roller coaster!

While the 23-year-old artist had no problem singing the lyrics to her smash songs even while she zoomed around the track, Corden spent most of the ride hanging on for dear life, his eyes firmly shut.

He seemed legitimately scared.

Not that we can blame him.

"OH MY GOD!" he yelled at one point.

Later on, the duo stopped at a drive-thru and teamed up on a version of "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift, who, of course, is Selena"s best friend.

Later on, Corden asked Gomez about her position in The Taylor Swift Squad and asked if there was any chance that he could join the gang.

Gomez wasn"t positive that guys were permitted.

"I think this industry could use a little bit of female sexism," she said at one point. "Find me a boyfriend and then we"ll talk about it."

So she"s single!

Anthony Kiedis Saves a Baby"s Life During Carpool Karaoke

Earlier this week, Red Hot Chili Peppers fans were treated to 15 minutes of song, anecdotes and man wrestling when the band participated in a round of "Carpool Karaoke" with James Corden.

But what we didn"t see was the part where Anthony Kiedis saved a baby"s life.

The front man became a hero during filming, right after a dance-off that was edited out of the final version.

In an interview with the UK"s Radio X, Kiedis recounts the story:

"We had a very interesting unscripted moment. We danced-off, we tied and then we were going to celebrate with some Mexican food on the corner.

"And a woman came out of her house holding a child, saying "my baby, my baby, my baby can"t breathe!"

"We all ran across the street. The lady thrust the baby into my arms. The baby was not breathing."

Kiedis, who is a father, instinctively tried CPR to try and get the infant breathing again.

"I thought, "I"m going to try and do a little baby CPR real quick to see if I can get some air into this kid.

"I tried to open the mouth. Shut – locked shut.

"So I started rubbing the belly, bubbles started coming out of the mouth, the eyes rolled back into place.

"The ambulance showed up and I handed the baby over who was breathing and fine."

Pretty incredible. Okay, we totally now forgive him for that mustache.

Last month, Kiedis was rushed to the hospital just hours before taking the stage at a concert in Los Angeles, forcing the band to cancel their appearance.

It turned out to be inflammation in the gut, which was complicated by a stomach virus and scar tissue.

Luckily, Kiedis and the baby seem to be doing fine now.

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas: See Them on Carpool Karaoke!

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas have officially made it.

Yes, the two superstars had already established rather impressive careers for themselves prior to Monday night.

But then they became the latest celebrities to sit alongside James Corden for a round of Carpool Karaoke, joining such A-Listers who have previously done so as Adele and Justin Bieber.

The recurring segment features The Late Late Show host enlisting various artist to carpool with him for work, joking around with them in the vehicle while also enjoying a few memorable sing-alongs.

In this case, the skit opened with Lovato and Jonas going over who the latter has dated and when he chose to take off his purity ring.

From there, then sang parts of Lovato’s song “Heart Attack" and then Jonas’s smash hit “Chains.”

The latter track prompted Corden to ask the singers: “Have you ever been tied up?”

Jonas actually admitted that he had been, but “didn’t enjoy it at all.”

He also went into detail about how, at a gay club one time, he had been “chained to the wall.”

After that, it was tiem for Corden, Jonas and Lovato to belt out her hit “Stone Cold.”

Lovato and Jonas are set to embark on a tour together, although they will not be performing in North Carolina as a statement in support of LGBT rights.

In the video below, Jonas also explains how his brother came up with “Cake By The Ocean" as a song title.

He said a Swedish guy confused “sex on the beach” for “Cake By The Ocean" and the rest is songwriting history.

All three then sang Jonas’s “Close” and “Jealous," later stopping the car for a rendition of  Lovato’s “Confident” on the street and collecting some money from pedestrians.

Did Jonas and Lovato live up to the lofty Carpool Karaoke bar set by past guests?

Only two weeks ago, remember, Gwen Stefani was joined for it by Julia Roberts and George Clooney.

James Corden Embarrasses J. Lo on Carpool Karaoke

She may still be Jenny from the Block.

But Jennifer Lopez was more like Jenny in the Car on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night.

The American Idol judge and Shades of Blue star became the latest celebrity to join the comedian for this beloved segment, sitting down in Corden"s passenger seat and agreeing to call him "J-Co."

From there, the duo belted out a version of "My Love Don"t Cost a Thing."

Along with a few other fun duets, however, this was the best part of the skit:

At one point Corden grabbed Lopez" phone and decided to text one of the famous people she had in her contacts.

There was Demi Lovato… Bradley Cooper… The Rock… Cristiano Ronaldo…. Fergie… Iggy Azalea. All big names.

But none bigger than Leonardo DiCaprio.

So, pretending to be Lopez, Corden fired off a text that read:

"Hey baby, I"m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions? Let me know, JLo, you know, from the block."

And Leo responded!

What did the Oscar winner say? How did Lopez react? How well did Corden sing "Booty" with his guest, taking on the role of Azalea?

All good questions. All answered by watching the following video. Enjoy!
