Alaskan Bush People: Special Airs Tonight! Good News for Season 8?
Filming on Alaskan Bush People Season 8 seems to be in limbo.
And while theories abound, no one’s quite sure why. The production team hasn’t made an official statement.
It might be that they’re just delaying production for a short while, but fans worry that this hiatus is going to turn into a cancelation.
Considering that it wasn’t so long ago that fans of the series were mourning Season 7 as the last leg of the show, you’d think that Season 8’s unknown status wouldn’t be a surprise.
But a lot has changed.
Ratings in Season 7 did pretty well — and were certainly better than Life of Kylie‘s.
Part of that season’s storyline, however, followed Ami Brown’s lung cancer diagnosis and treatments.
Everything seemed like it was over as the family left the homestead that they had affectionately dubbed as “Browntown” and went into the “lower 48,” meaning the continental United States and not Alaska or Hawaii.
(Tonight’s special will deal further with that farewell; we have details on that below)
And it’s clear that nothing on the show, if it continues, will be the same.
Some of the siblings are, quite simply, not going back to live in the wilderness.
Noah Brown wants to become a small-town sheriff in Alaska.
That’s admittedly an odd dream, but he and his fiancee, Rhain, are welcome to live their lives however they like.
Gabe has grown increasingly camera-shy, so we don’t know how much of him we could expect to see on Season 8.
And Bam Bam? He’s rumored to be married. He might even be traveling to the tropics with that alleged wife … on a yacht.
That’s a great use of reality TV money if owning a yacht is your thing, but it might preclude him from fitting in with the vibe of the show.
Most of the family, it seems, is headed to Colorado.
(And we suspect that tonight’s special will cover a lot of that)
At the moment, though, various members of the Brown family are consistently being spotted in California.
While it would be nice if haters would be nicer to the Brown kids instead of trying to be “fashion police” about what look Gabe Brown sports when he goes to a Target, most fans like being able to keep up with the Brown family.
But if they’re all in civilization and in California instead of reveling in the wilderness of Colorado … what exactly is going on with the show?
The Facebook group, Alaskan Bush People Exposed, which is neither a fan group nor a hate group … despite having followers in both camps … has dug up plenty of information on the Brown family and the show’s production.
But even they are scratching their heads about what’s going on with the series. Here is what one of their admins posted just a couple of days ago:
“There seems to be some problems going on with this season’s filming, and we still are not sure why yet. There is no pre-production, production crew are not moving and so far, the Browns are still in CA. Everything seems to be at a standstill at the moment. We will update as soon as we get any further details.”
We really hope to learn more, soon.
We know that Ami Brown wants to continue to tell the story of her battle with cancer for the cameras.
Despite accusations that Ami or the show are exaggerating her cancer for dramatic effect, she has lung cancer and that could be very fatal.
Recently, Ami Brown finished a bout of chemotherapy.
That might not put her in great shape to be roughing it in the woods and building a new homestead in Colorado, but she’s expressed in the past that she wants to tell her story so that other people can see her fight against cancer.
It’s a frightening experience, and she hopes that watching her go through it could help prepare others for when they one day face the same uphill battle.
You can see how her various family members would want to rally around and support her as she continues her journey.
And, well … we’re sure that those reality TV dollars are a great motivator, too. Let’s be real.
Tonight, a 2-hour Alaskan Bush People special is scheduled to air.
Alaskan Bush People: Forging A New Future airs at 8pm.
The official description is this:
“As Ami prepares to undergo treatment for lung cancer, siblings Bear, Bird, and Rain work to give the family’s homestead back to the bush. The entire wolf pack must forge a new beginning using the skills they have acquired in the Alaskan wilderness.”
It might be that they’re waiting for fan reactions before they decide how to proceed.
Maybe they want to gauge ratings?
It might be that producers already know what’s coming next, but are waiting until after the episode airs to share more.
For the moment, we just don’t know.

Bachelor in Paradise Airs a "Very Important Episode"
To open the second part of the Bachelor in Paradise premiere, Chris Harrison told viewers this was a “very important episode.”
In the end, however, most fans thought it was a lot closer to a very lame and scripted episode.
On Monday night, of course, Season 4 kicked off with Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson getting very close and cozy in a pool after downing a few drinks.
This installment concluded on a quasi cliffhanger, as producer asked to speak to Corinne and DeMario and we watched as contestants looked on in confusion.
Would the season actually be canceled?
Would charges of sexual assault be brought against Jackson for what transpired in that pool?
No, we knew weeks ago that Jackson was cleared and an investigation revealed no wrongdoing on anyone’s part.
But ABC vowed to address toe scandal on Season 4 and that’s exactly what happened on part two of the premiere last night, as Harrison hilariously held a discussion on sex, consent and race.
(Which took place about 45 minutes after the show aired Carly and Evan’s wedding. Congrats to those two!)
“A lot of tears were shed that night,” Harrison said of the evening that featured Corinne and DeMario being grilled by producers. “It was really rough. It was brutal.”
This was pretty much all the detail he provided on what actually transpired between the contestants, neither of whom returned to Paradise after production was shut down for two weeks.
Added Harrison:
“Before I can officially declare Paradise back open, I think it’s very important that we sit down and have a serious talk, all of us, about what happened, what didn’t happen, and what we all need to do to start this show together.”
What followed can be described best by the following Tweet:
Let’s take a look at some of what the cast had to say about the incident, shall we?
Totally unprompted and not laid out to them beforehand by executives, we’re sure, right?
Raven Gates: I was confident that nothing happened between DeMario and Corinne that was bad. I trusted everyone that worked here, so I knew everything was going to be okay.
Alex: Woytkiw: I think there was a lot in the media regarding the producers as if they’re not our friends and they’re just using us to make us do things like we’re going to just do whatever they say.
Derek Peth: I think there’s a weird perception that exists out there that we’re not in control of ourselves when we’re here. … We all know how realistic the friendships are with and among the cast. … We are here to make our own decisions and develop real relationships with everybody.
Taylor Nolan: We’re responsible for ourselves and the things we say, how much we drink, who we kiss.
Kenneth Moreland: Obviously everything came out clean, but I empathize with DeMario a lot more just because obviously we had a black male, white female… I’m thinking of the long-term effects and I was really pissed about that.
Jasmine Goode, on DeMario: He’s a great guy from the guy I met here … and I never felt he was aggressive with any of us. … I just hate that he’s going to have this image stuck with him for a while.
Forget being a Very Important Episode.
This was really an Episode in Which Everyone Followed a Script and Basically Slammed Corinne.
But it ended with Harrison taking on the role of sex-ed teacher, telling the reality stars:
“The purpose of Paradise and what I’m hoping for all of you – and I’m sure you’re all hoping – is to fall in love here.
“Part of falling in love is physical intimacy. That’s a big part of any serious relationship.
“But for while you’re here, please keep consent issues in mind and actually that goes for forever, but it definitely should be something we all talk talk about and something we all think about.”
After each cast member voted to keep filming going (because one of them was really going to object, right? After being flown back out and the cameras turned back on?), Harrison wrapped up the two-night premiere as follows:
After we shut down for more than two weeks, with the power vested within me, I now declare Bachelor in Paradise back open.
This was really pretty pathetic all around.

Dr. Brandon Rogers: America"s Got Talent Contestant Dies Before Episode Airs
Sad news out of Hollywood today, as TMZ is reporting that an extraordinarily gifted young man with bright futures in both medicine and entertainment has passed away.
Dr. Brandon Rogers filmed a heavily buzzed-about episode of America’s Got Talent several months ago, and his singing talents were such that he gained the attention of Boyz II Men and thousands of online fans before the performance even aired.
Tragically, Rogers was involved in a fatal car accident on Saturday.
He was rushed to a hospital, where he passed away on Sunday morning.
He was just 29 years old.
Rogers graduated medical school in 2015, and though while family and friends passionately dedicated to his work within the medical community, he continued to make time for his first love: music.
Videos of Rogers’ singing caught the attention of America’s Got Talent producers, who flew the Maryland resident to Los Angeles for an audition that reportedly blew judges away.
Based on the clips Rogers uploaded to Instagram, it’s not hard to see how they were so impressed.
The word of mouth surrounding Brandon’s talent was such that iconic ’90s R&B group Boyz II Men brought him on stage to sing at one of their shows.
Today, the group released a statement honoring Rogers’ tragically short life and tremendous talent.
“Today our hearts are deeply saddened to learn about the sudden death of Dr. Brandon Rogers. A few moths back we brought this young man out to the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas to perform with us. He was great all 3 nights!” they wrote/
Just a genuinely nice person and a really good singer! Gone too young and gone too soon.”
The video of Brandon’s performance with the group has gone viral in the wake of news of his death:
America’s Got Talent producers say they have not reached a decision with regard to when Rogers’ episode will air.
Brandon’s segment was originally scheduled to air in July.
The Rogers family tells TMZ they look forward to the whole country seeing the performance of Brandon’s lifetime.
Our thoughts go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.

Saturday Night Live Airs Controversial Kellyanne Conway Skit: Watch!
Were you able to catch Saturday Night Live last night? If not, then boy, you sure are in for a treat right now …
This current season of SNL has gotten a whole lot of mileage out of Donald Trump and all of his countless atrocities, including the people he"s hired to work in the White House.
And one of those people is the utterly ridiculous Kellyanne Conway, played on the show by the extremely lovely, very hilarious Kate McKinnon.
But last night, there was a Fatal Attraction-esque skit featuring McKinnon"s Kellyanne. And according to some people, it went way too far.
In the skit, CNN"s Jake Tapper went home to his apartment to find Kellyanne, looking mighty unhinged in some lingerie.
Poor Kellyanne was just so very, very desperate for Jake to put her back on the news, even after that "little ethics violation" that occurred when she tried to sell Ivanka Trump"s clothing during an interview.
So desperate that, at one point, she held a knife to his throat.
It was pretty intense, but also pretty funny. But a lot of viewers didn"t see it that way.
As one person tweeted, "SNL just gave a gift to the White House with this sexist, unfunny Kellyanne Conway skit."
Another wrote "As much as I loathe Kellyanne, this highly sexualized SNL version of her gives me the icks."
Was the skit funny? Sexist? Extreme?
Watch the action in the video below and let us know what you think:

Maci Bookout: Wedding Footage Airs on Teen Mom OG!!!
Get ready to actually feel good about something that happened on Teen Mom OG.
Yes, we know, it"s a bizarre feeling, and it almost never happens, but this is precious, we promise.
We"re finally getting to see some footage from Maci Bookout"s wedding to Taylor McKinney!
Maci is one of the very, very few "good" Teen Moms — she and Chelsea Houska are pretty much it — so there"s no guilt in enjoying this.
There"s not even the tiniest bit of drama, none of the overwhelming (but delicious) trashiness that Teen Mom typically thrives on.
This is just some really beautiful footage of a truly lovely wedding.
It feels weird, right?
In this sneak peek from next week"s episode of the show, you get to see the goings-on from right before the actual ceremony.
You get to see Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra arrive, you even see Maci"s terrible ex, Ryan Edwards, show up with his new girlfriend and his parents.
There"s Maci"s three children, Bentley, Jayde, and Maverick, all decked out in adorable formal wear for the special occasion.
You even see Maci pulling up to the church in her absolutely gorgeous dress.
Check out all the magic, every last beautiful bit of it, in the video below:

Bryan Wilson: Texas Lawyer Airs World"s Most Bonkers Commercial
If you"re a fan of Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, then you know that Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman knows is the master of using ludicrous gimmicks to advertise his legal services.
In the real world, Saul"s only had competition in the race for Most Spectacularly WTF? Law Firm Ad came from a lawyer named Jamie Casino, who"s Super Bowl spots basically look like Dick Cheney got Alice Cooper pregnant and the baby came out as a commercial.
Now, however, there"s a new name in the batsh-t lawyer game, and "Texas Law Hawk" Bryan Wilson is making a case for himself as the king of the bald-eagle-on-acid patriotic mindf-ck commercial.
We can"t come close to doing justice to Brian"s commercial with a mere description, so check out the clip and experience Wilson"s "talons of justice" for yourself.

Steve Rannazzisi -- Comedy Central Airs Show Despite 9/11 Lie
Z STAFF
Steve Rannazzi got a slice of good news in the wake of his 9/11 lie admission … Comedy Central aired his special.
The network hedged after Steve disclosed he was not in one of the twin towers during the attack … a story he propagated in vivid detail for years.
The special — “Breaking Dad” — aired Saturday night.
“The League” star wasn’t as lucky with his lucrative Buffalo Wild Wings commercial, which was yanked off the air after he fessed up.
