Mariah Carey to Bryan Tanaka: Marry Me NOW!
Dating is one thing, but is Mariah Carey really ready to get married to boytoy dancer Bryan Tanaka?
Reportedly, she’s not only ready to tie the knot but actively pressuring him to propose.
“Bryan’s eating out of her palm again now and Mariah’s desperate to seal the deal before they get sabotaged again,” an insider claims.
The report that Mariah is pressuring Bryan comes from RadarOnline and their source.
We’d really rather hear it directly from Mariah … though obviously she’d never just come out and say that.
It’s not a casual Katy Perry diss, after all.
Not everyone’s onboard with their relationship, either.
“So many people from both their circles have tried to keep them apart, but she’s convinced they have what it takes to last the course,” the source says.
Well, all sides being against the union sounds like a tragic romance. Not always the best set-up when there are children in the mix.
Even the anonymous insider cautioned that Mariah’s feelings aren’t set in stone:
“Obviously, her feelings change like the wind each day, but to be fair Bryan has a hold over her that no other guy’s had for a long time.”
Yes, even the unidentified tipster has doubts.
Again, it’s usually healthy to view things coming from “a source” with a grain of salt.
But this isn’t the least believable story in the world.
Bryan was her backup dancer back in 2006, so they’ve known each other for eleven years.
That is a long-ass time to know someone, even just as friends.
And, um, they’re clearly more than that.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, we do need to think a little about context.
Mariah’s breakup with billionaire James Packer was, well, reportedly because of all kinds of things, from allegations of cheating with Bryan Tanaka to extravagant spending habits.
The spending thing sounds pretty realistic to us — financial disagreements are a very common, if not terribly salacious, reason for breakups.
But if she was spending too much for James’ liking, how is she going to go from being a sugar baby to a sugar momma?
Well, as much of a sugar baby as Mariah could have been since she’s worth half a billion — and as much of a sugar baby as Bryan can be if he’s worth around a million.
It’s all relative, apparently.
Still, it doesn’t seem like it’s the best next step for her to take in a relationship.
Maybe she isn’t thinking with her head right now.
Hopefully, she’ll make the best decision for herself and her children.
You don’t want to get married based on thirst alone. Not when you’re nearly fifty.
And super not when you have kids.
Tarek El Moussa on the Single Life: I"m Hooking Up Left & Right!
The ongoing drama surrounding the Tarek and Christina El Moussa divorce has made unexpected tabloid staples out of a couple of basic cable house-flippers.
The mostly negative attention threatened to sink the El Moussas careers at one point, but now they’ve reached a level of popularity that the Chumlees and Jon Taffers of the world can only dream of.
We’ll leave it you to decide whether that’s a good or bad thing, but there’s no arguing that these days, the El Moussas are more in the spotlight than ever before.
Of course, the publicity has nothing to do with their views on formica countertops and everything to do with their personal lives.
From a drama standpoint, the El Moussas breakup has everything: cheating accusations, a multi-million dollar business empire, attractive people who hate each other …
And it appears that the former couple has no qualms about sharing the messy details of their breakup with an increasingly curious public.
We’ve already been privy to such information as when the El Moussas last slept together and whether or not Christina has found someone new.
But there’s been surprisingly little talk about Tarek’s post-marriage love life.
During a recent interview, E! News asked Tarek if he’s seeing anyone these days.
The answer? No … He’s seeing EVERYONE!
“I’ve really never been single before, believe it or not,” Tarek said.
“It’s a whole new life and I am having a lot of fun. I’m just a free spirit, I’m happy, I love going on dates, I like meeting girls.”
Pressed on whether or not he’s “seeing anyone exclusively” Tarek replied:
“Not anyone specifically … Not exclusively.”
“Not specifically.”
That’s code for “I have an Uber driver waiting outside my house five nights a week.”
Without coming right out and saying it, Tarek is letting us know that he’s not spending many nights alone these days, and he’s loving every minute of it.
As for his ex, Christina dated Nate Thompson of the NHL briefly, but it looks as though she’s single these days.
Last we checked, Christina and Tarek are planning to continue hosting their popular HGTV series together for at least one more season.
Should make for some interesting convos when the cameras aren’t rolling!
Jennifer Lopez: Baby on the Way?
Jennifer Lopez is one of the most successful women on the planet. With multiple TV shows on the air, sell-out tours, acting, and modeling, it’s fair to say Lopez has done it all.
However, the 47-year-old appears to be ready to put her career on hold to have a child with her baseball boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez.
According to Radar Online, that is.
“J.Lo’s so in love with A-Rod that she’s committed to having a baby with him!” said a source close to the star. “She knows there’s a risk, but she’s willing to take it with him!”
The report does come a bit soon considering the couple has been together for weeks, but who are we to stand in the way of true love?
“Alex is one of the few guys in the world that can make Jenny feel starstruck,” spilled an insider. “She’s a huge Yankees fan! She’s from the Bronx, after all — and she considers him a legend!”
We’re sure he thinks the same of you, Jen.
It also sounds like Jennifer’s ex-husband Marc Anthony is giving Rodriguez the thumbs up, so that’s always a positive.
“Marc is thrilled to see Jen with a true family man,” a source dished. “He was always worried about the younger guys she dated, like Drake and Casper Smart.”
It must be difficult for Jennifer to pick men she wants to date because she’s had three failed marriages, but something tells us she’s on to a winner here with Alex.
For a start, they look cute as hell, but the true test will come when that honeymoon period ends for them.
Apparently, Jennifer has been very open to her friends and family about increasing her brood with a new addition.
And it also appears Jenny from the block is not taking any chances and is actually putting her foot down to ensure her man stays on the right side of her.
“Jenny knows Alex hasn’t been a great husband or faithful boyfriend in the past,” the report continued.
“She’s given him a few months to prove he’s committed to her, and even put a private eye on him to make sure he passed the test. He has … so far.”
Um, alright then. Let’s see how long it lasts.
