Leah Messer: I"m Finally Getting My Life Together!

Leah Messer has some mighty big news to share!

No, she’s not pregnant again — she had twins when she was a teenager and another baby just as she entered her twenties, she’s good on kids for now.

And no, she’s not going to rehab again, though after the rough year she’s had, she did raise a lot of rumors that she was abusing prescription drugs again.

Guys, Leah is going back to school!

She’s a single mother of three young girls, she’s 24 years old, she works hard(ish) getting her entire life filmed for Teen Mom 2, and she’s going to college now, too.

Give the girl a hand, OK?

She made the announcement yesterday on Instagram when she posted a photo of her youngest daughter, Adalynn.

“My baby girl started school today,” she wrote. “I was extremely proud of her! Mommy’s #BigGirl now!”

“I always said I would wait until all my girls were in school and then I would go. It’s finally time to finish what I want to pursue in my career and start college life as a mom of 3.”

She added a bunch of hashtags like “bittersweet,” “school girls,” and “I’m so #Blessed.”

And this is great for Leah, right?

Like we said, she’s had a rough year, so making such a positive step forward is big, it really is.

Remember when she temporarily lost custody of the twins to ex-husband Corey Simms because she couldn’t manage to get them to school on time?

Scenes from Teen Mom 2 showed Leah oversleeping and rushing to get the kids in the car. She faced a lot of criticism for not giving them breakfast, and for rolling her eyes and complaining when they told her they were hungry.

In other scenes, the kids got upset because she didn’t have any food in the house, but still Leah didn’t seem to care too much.

She was often filmed texting and driving, and there was even one particular occasion in which she left her toddler in the car.

Oh, and did we mention that time that the internet ripped her apart for leaving a cat in the car for a long period of time?

It’s clear that she’s been having a hard time for a while now, so hopefully going back to school is the start of a new phase in her life.

And if it’s not, well, at least that’ll make for some good television.
