The past season of Teen Mom has not been an easy one for Catelynn Lowelll.
Viewers have watched Catelynn struggle with depression, anxiety, and the tremendous pressures of new motherhood.
Fortunately, the troubled 24-year-old has support pouring in from a wide variety of sources.
Yesterday, we learned that Catelynn is friends with Sia, as the singer reached out to Lowell and invited her to a recent concert due to the fact that they’ve both struggled with similar mental health issues.
Now, it seems that Catelynn is also receiving words of encouragement from fellow Teen Mom star Amber Portwood.
Amber Portwood has given Catelynn several online shout-outs during the current season, the most recent of which occurred on Monday night.
“Smile beautiful!! I love you!” Amber tweeted.
The tweet would’ve made a lot more sense if it had occurred during an episode of Teen Mom, but hey, it’s still nice.
Maybe Amber was watching a rerun or something.
Anyway, Catelynn has yet to respond to the tweet, but she and Amber have exchanged kind words in the past.
Last month, Amber tweeted simply, “I love you!” at Catelynn.
Lowell responded, “thanks boo ily2 I know that you truly get it.”
Teen Mom is unique among reality shows in that its stars rarely interact on camera.
With the exception of the reunion shows, Portwood and company live in different parts of the country and seldom share screen time.
It also seems to exact more of an emotional toll than most reality series.
So it’s nice to see that the ladies at least occasionally reach out to one another.
Before this season began, Amber, Catelynn and Maci Bookout got together with the men in their lives to trash-talk Farrah Abraham.
Yes, even her co-stars can’t stand Farrah.
Basic cable reality stars – they’re just like us!
Sorry, we meant to focus on the friendship between Amber and Catelynn.
When the opportunity to insult Farrah comes up, it can be hard to resist.
