Desiree Hartsock Gives Birth to First Baby!

Forget handing out a rose or being flown to a romantic dinner in Paris.

Desiree Hartsock just experienced true joy, even if it took place far away from any ABC camera:

She gave birth to her first child!!!!!

As first reported by Us Weekly, Desiree Hartsock and husband Chris Siegfried are now the proud and excited parents of a boy named Asher Wrigley Siegfried.

He was born on October 19, weighing in at the time at eight pounds and measuring 20.5 inches.

It’s safe to say that the former Bachelorette star is rather excited about the addition to her family.

“Words can’t even express the amount of love we feel for our baby boy Asher,” Hartsock told Us, adding:

“He has already brought so much joy into our lives in one day. He’s strong, healthy, happy, playful and warm.

“Chris and I are beyond blessed with this beautiful gift of life that we are excited to have as a part our family.”

The 30-year old even gave Instagram followers a glimpse at precious little Asher last night:

“He already has us wrapped around his precious little fingers!” wrote Desiree.

“We are overjoyed to welcome the newest addition to our family, Asher Wrigley Siegfried. Born yesterday, (10/19) happy, healthy and strong! We’re sharing more of our excitement over at www.UsMagazine.com.”

She concluded with the hashtags “#babyboy #Asher #heartmelted.”

Those who watch The Bachelorette online followed the journey of Desiree and Chris back on Season 9 in 2013.

They got married two years later, becoming one of the few couples from this reality franchise to actually make it down the aisle.

Hartsock got into documenting her pregnancy on Instagram and also on her website, often sharing pregnancy workout videos and recommendations for stretch mark creams.

As the her baby’s first foray into the universe approached, Hartsock took over The Bump’s Instagram account on September 20 and shared a sweet picture with her husband, writing:

“I’m almost 36 weeks and have to say I feel so incredibly blessed to have had a pretty smooth pregnancy experience so far.”

She added at the time:

“As we prepare for birth and the joys of parenting ahead of us I will never forget the moment we found out we were expecting.

“The first sound of a heartbeat, the first appearance of a bump, the first kicks, the first hiccups or the motherly bond I feel with our baby even before he enters this world. Pregnancy has made me even more grateful for what a life truly is.”

What a great point of view.

We send our best wishes to Hartsock and to all the celebrities who welcomed a boy or a girl into the world this year.
