Abby Lee Miller is about to go down.
And she seems intent on taking Dance Moms down with her.
The controversial host will be sentenced this week for her role in a bankruptcy fraud cause, having pleaded guilty last June to hiding nearly $ 800,000 that that she made from television show appearances, merchandise and dance lessons at her studio.
She failed to report this income to the government. Which is very much illegal.
Miller hasn’t seemed very contrite ever since making this admission, and now she’s lashing out at the series that made her famous.
Following Tuesday night’s installment of Dance Moms, Miller wrote on Instagram that Lifetime simply cut a student’s performance from the episode.
“And what about this amazing number?” Miller wrote in anger, explaining further as follows:
“@Kendallvertes is gory good in ‘Dead On Arrival’ but @lifetime didn’t air it! #Dumb. Who would like to see less fighting and more dancing?”
Yes, Miller just referred to her very own show as “dumb.”
She then proceeded to pat herself on the back for Kendall’s supposedly strong number.
“The routine begins with her on a slab inside the morgue and then rewinds it’self back to the beginning to depict the accident,” Miller continued.
“Pretty creative on my end? #GiveAbbyCreativeCredit.”
We’ll give you credit for being an anger-filled liar, Abby. How about that?
Just a few weeks ago, Miller also blasted Dance Moms.
She accused the cast and crew of “destroying” the program after she was forced to kick off cast member Daviana Fletcher.
“Just another example of producers destroying the show! I fought as hard as I could to keep her, how much fight does one person have in them?” she wrote at the time, adding:
“I spent the first 3 years of #Dancemoms fighting so that @maddieziegler would get the solos instead of the ones who couldn’t pick up or couldn’t remember.”
Back in June, Miller confessed in court to NOT reporting an international monetary transaction, pleading guilty to one count of concealing bankruptcy assets.
She faces up to 30 months in prison when she’s sentenced tomorrow.
In her sentencing memorandum, Miller blamed the Lifetime series for her crimes because she was “ill-equipped to manage her good fortune” and was “thrust into the Hollywood culture and business.”
Really. Miller said her crimes are not her fault because she was overwhelmed by her fame. That’s her actual excuse.
Through her attorney this week, Miller added that she never hurt anyone… that she’s been humiliated publicly … and that she doesn’t deserve to go to prison.
“Ms. Miller respectfully requests that the Court impose a non-custodial sentence after considering her acceptance of responsibility and the nature and characteristics of her conduct and her life,” the annoying host’s lawyers said in court on Tuesday.
“She presently finds herself standing before this Court having admitted to crimes that served almost no purpose but, fortunately, caused no harm.”
Miller is asking a judge for probation.
But while it’s very easy to watch Dance Moms online via our friends at TV Fanatic, it won’t be so easy for Miller to wiggle her way out of a prison sentence.
Prosecutors point to emails Miller sent to her account that prove she wasn’t acting as innocently and as naively as she claims throughout this financial plot.
“Miller committed multiple offenses for which she accepted responsibility in the context of the bankruptcy,” the January 17 submission to the courts from Acting U.S. Attorney Soo C. Song’s office reads.
It adds of Miller:
“She both schemed to defraud the court, conceal assets, and falsify bankruptcy schedules while under oath.”
We’ll find out this week whether Abby Lee Miller is sentence to any time behind bars.
But we’d be spending far more time watching Orange is the New Black if we were her, as opposed to biting the hand that has been feeding her for years.
