For years, Duggar fans have speculated about the romantic prospects of the family’s eldest daughter, Jana.
Dubbed “the Cinderella Duggar” due to her seemingly tireless housekeeping and child-rearing efforts, Jana has watched her sisters and older brother get married without showing any concern for her own love life.
Rumors about Jana courting – usually with some unnamed Arkansan – seem to circulate about once a month, but they’re always shot down or ignored by her family.
Now, however, the above photo has fans believing that Jana is finally saying goodbye to the single life.
(Note: we say “finally” only because she’s a Duggar, a family that teaches women from a young age that women are put on Earth to procreate, and sadly, Jana doesn’t appear to have rejected that teaching.)
Anyway, at first glance, Jana appears to be fixing a flower arrangement.
On closer inspection, however, you can see that she’s actually opening an envelope and removing a card.
Is it a Valentine’s Day present from a new suitor?
Social media certainly thinks so!
Not surprisingly, the Duggars have remained tight-lipped on the matter thus far, but that doesn’t mean there’s no truth to the rumors.
After all, we always figured that if and when Jana entered the courtship game, the announcement would be made on an episode of Counting On.
The Duggars may be a pious lot, but they remain fiercely loyal to the almighty dollar.
Jana opened up about her love life in a recent interview, but as usual, she discussed her romantic future only in the vaguest terms:
“I don’t know what the next five years will look like,” the 27-year-old told the International Business Times.
“In some ways, you’ve got hopes and dreams. Maybe I’ll meet the one and get married and have kids and stuff.”
She added:
“There have been different guys come along and ask, but they haven’t been the right one. It’s just one of those things. I’m not just out to get married to the first one who comes along.”
Unfortunately, if the Duggars are waiting to share some big news about Jana on their reality show, fans may have to wait a while.
Episodes that are filming now won’t air for at least four months, so Jana and her new man may have to keep things on the down-low for quite some time.
In the meantime, feel free to occupy yourself by spreading that rumor that Jana is courting Tim Tebow. That one was a doozy.
