Justin Bieber may have messed with the wrong artist.
The Canadian singer is yet to directly comment on the burgeoning relationship between his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, and The Weeknd.
But Bieber is clearly both aware of it and bothered by it, as evidenced by a few jabs he’s taken at The Weeknd over the past few weeks.
There was the insider who alleged Bieber simply thinks Selena is using The Weeknd to help her career, claiming she’s done this before in supposed romances with DJ Zedd and Nick Jonas.
And then there was the video Bieber recorded this week in which he joked that he likes “Starboy” The Weeknd… and then laughed at this idea for a solid 12 seconds in a row.
We’re not kidding.
See for yourself:
But now a clip of The Weeknd’s verse on Nav’s new track, “Some Way,” has gone viral.
And the lyrics spat out by the singer seem like a direct shot at Justin Bieber. And we mean A DIRECT SHOT!
“Dress up your talk if a n-gger wanna talk to me. F-ck your phone calls, I don’t want apologies,” The Weeknd sings at one point, adding:
“Everyone said, yeah, they said I was gonna peak. Most number ones, number ones in a n-gger league.”
What’s the big deal?
Where’s the Bieber diss? Here it is…
I think your girl fell in love with me. She say my f-ck and my tongue game a remedy.
This bitch got addicted, all she do was take a taste. Now you gettin’ mad because you got replaced.
Whoa there! X-rated shot fired!
For those in need of translation, The Weeknd is saying here that another guy’s ex-girlfriend is falling hard for him and this has a lot to do with how good The Weeknd is at sexual intercourse and oral sex.
You may go ahead and decide for yourself whether he’s talking about Selena and Justin here.
For the record, however, many people in the Twittersphere absolutely believe The Weeknd just slammed the living heck out of Bieber.
Consider a few social media reactions below:
“I can totally imagine Abel and Nav working on “Some way” and just cracking jokes about JB. They literally killed him,” wrote another user.
On Tuesday, Bieber whined on Instagram about how he’s all alone on Valentine’s Day.
But you can watch that video for yourself and perhaps take it the way we’ve chosen to take it, as yet another way in which Bieber is mocking the romance between Gomez and The Weeknd.
He may want to think twice about doing so again, however.
Heck, he may want to think about getting down on his knees and apologizing.
Because who knows what else The Weeknd is willing to say in public about Bieber otherwise?
