First came love for Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth.
Then, on May 26, came marriage for the couple, who tied the knot in front of family members and close friends after several days of chatter over just when these nuptials would take place.
So… now comes a baby in a baby carriage. Right?!?
Pretty much, yes.
So Joy-Anna says herself.
“We love kids and we’re excited to have a family,” Duggar tells People Magazine, not saying for certain that she and Austin are already trying for a baby, but stating:
“We’re just going to see what the Lord does.”
In other words:
We’re going to have a lot of unprotected sex and see what happens!
(Which, some might say, is really leaving it in science’s hands. But whatever.)
Joy-Anna, of course, comes from a very large family.
Like, a VERY large family. An enormous family. The family with the most children to ever be granted their own show on TLC.
Will Duggar and Forsyth follow suit? Will Joy-Anna ever go more than a few months over the next decade without being pregnant?
“We want as many as the Lord thinks we can handle and we are putting it into his hands,” she told People when asked this question.
The now-husband and wife met through church and told this same publication last week that they were “happy and excited” to be married.
“Leading up, it was so surreal until I was walking down the aisle and then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s actually here,"” Joy-Anna added shortly afterward.
“We are going to be traveling for our honeymoon for awhile.”
Ah yes, about that honeymoon:
No one seems quite sure just where Joy-Anna and Austin are at the moment, as they do a number on each other’s naked bodies in an attempt to make a baby.
“I think the honeymoon is going to be really, really special, just getting to spend that time together,” Jessa Seewald said in a video posted online this week.
She continued:’
“I don’t even know where they’re going, honestly, but I know it’s going to be exciting.”
We agree! Lots of raw sex often is!
(Sorry, Jim Bob and Michelle. But you know it’s true.)
Added Jessa in her message to the newlyweds:
“Getting to travel together, make memories together, take lots of pictures and document your travels and your journeys. This is the beginning of your life together.”
Jeremy Vuolo also chimed in via his own video message, telling Duggar and Forsyth:
“This is an incredible journey you’re beginning. We wish you all the best. We’ll be praying for you and enjoy yourselves!”
Joy-Anna and Austin were friends for 15 years before dating for three months and then getting engaged.
Their wedding took place in Arkansas, but it was not without controversy.
First, Joseph Duggar proposed to Kendra Caldwell at the reception, an act that has stirred up a great deal of backlash for sort of obvious reasons.
It was Joy-Anna’s big day. It was her special occasion. And Joseph just swooped in and stole some of her thunder.
Prior to the ceremony, meanwhile, Jana Duggar took a walk in the woods.
But she didn’t do so alone, as 12 smaller humans accompanied the woman who is charged with staying home and tutoring a gaggle of her young relatives everyday.
Michelle Duggar captioned the following photo:
“Jana decided it was time to get out of the house for an afternoon hike and she had plenty who wanted to go with her!”
To many Internet users, Jana Duggar’s wedding selfie was just another example of the unfortunate life the family’s eldest daughter leads.
She has no privacy. She is constantly forced to care for children, even when trying to take a few relaxing moments to herself.
“Is this poor girl ever NOT on kid duty?” one person asked, while another shared the same sentiment, writing:
“Can’t they just leave Jana alone sometimes or do they have to be with the poor girl everywhere she goes?”
It’s unclear.
But this much is not: we wish the very best to Joy-Anna and Austin!
A new season of Counting On, featuring Joy-Anna and Austin’s wedding in the premiere, returns June 12 on TLC.
