Kristin Cavallari Defends Children Against Body-Shamers

There’s a fine line between being a helpful, interested party…

… and being an Internet troll who picks on children and parents trying their hardest to raise them properly.

Just ask Kristin Cavallari. She’s now very familiar with this line.

Over this past holiday weekend, the former Laguna Beach star shared what seemed to be an innocent photo of her sons, Camden and Jax, at the beach.

The three-year old and the two-year were just hanging out and playing, likely with their father, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.

But a few social media users out there decided to turn this sweet picture into something a lot more, coming down on Cavallari’s kids for being too thin.

Yes, some critics have now taken to body-shaming infants.

“Wow. I want to like this picture but for obvious reasons I cant. Please look into feeding your babies,” one follower wrote, while another added:

“I’m not hating but that little boys back does look really skinny. I have a kid and that just looks so skinny.”

Oh, well. You have a kid? That clearly makes you an expert!

We can’t pretend to know what is going on inside Cavallari’s’s household (which is why we’d never guess and never judge), but a couple facts to consider:

She and Cutler are not lacking for money. We’re sure they buy plenty of food for their adorable children.

Also: Cavallari is one of the more outspoken breast feeding advocates in Hollywood.

Just something to consider when choosing to criticize her parenting.

Fortunately, Cavallari responded to these trolls in a far more reasonable and mature way than we would have.

“Yep. I starve my children,” she wrote sarcastically, adding:

“Just blocked the most people I’ve ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha.”

Well played, Kristin. Way to ignore the haters.

Lauren Bushnell SLAMS Body-Shamers: Get Off My Sh*t!!

Lauren Bushnell is defending herself against body-shaming trolls who criticized her physique on social media.

They think she’s too skinny. Yep, you can skinny-shame, too.

First, the recent Bachelor winner posted the pic above of her impressive abs to Snapchat.

“Still grubbin just workin hard thnx” she wrote, including a hamburger, see-no-evil monkey (?) and caterpillar (?) emoji.

Apparently, she’s been working out and later shared a photo of herself performing squats with two plates.

Her fiance Ben Higgins also took to Instagram to defend her, sharing this pic of Lauren flexing her biceps.

“She’s mine. Straight Flexin. #fitgirl,” he wrote in the caption.

But Lauren scolded him for this move, telling him he’s just inviting the trolls.

“@higgins.ben babe you are literally asking for trolls to comment on my weight,” she wrote.

“Also not actually flexing duh Get a better pic when I’m straight out of the gym n swoll n stuff,” she added. Swoll n stuff?

And she was right. The haters hated and Lauren got super riled up and unleashed an all-cap, zero punctuation rant against them:

“THIS IS THE EXACT SAME WEIGHT I WAS WHEN I STARTED THE BACHELOR THEN I DRANK WINE EVERY DAY WITH @amanda_stantonn AND THEN AFTER THE SHOW I DIDNT DRINK WINE EVERY DAY GET OFF MY SH*T THIS IS HOW GOD MADE ME BYE.”

Whoa. Nice to see she’s got a little fire in her.

As far as we can tell, Lauren and Ben are doing just swell after coming off The Bachelor earlier this year, although there was some chatter about the pair calling off their wedding.

But a couple weeks later, another source insisted that, nope, these lovebirds were doing just peachy and would probably get married this summer.

Tia Mowry Lashes Out at Body-Shamers, Is NOT Pregnant

For the record, Tia Mowry is not pregnant.

Also for the record: Tia Mowry would really prefer if you did not ask her if she were pregnant.

With chatter swirling around the Internet for weeks about the state of the star’s womb, the 37-year-old actress talked to HuffPost Live and explained why she’s offended by the pregnancy line of questioning.

“I am not pregnant, I am just happy. I’ve gained these extra 10 [or] 15 pounds because of my cooking show,” Mowry says.

“I’m just enjoying life, and when I want to drop the pounds, I will, but right now I’m happy with who I am.”

Four months ago, Mowry responded to inquiries over whether she was expecting or not by posting a home pregnancy test… and having the result read “Just Fat.”

That’s both funny and sad at the same time. It’s witty and also very telling of where society is.

“It is a form of body shaming, I will say that, and it’s pretty unfortunate,” Mowry added.

“We live in a society that is so obsessed with being perfect…why can’t we just be us?

“We need to be more supportive with body images, especially with women, showing that all sizes are beautiful.

“And I’m talking about in magazines, advertisement in regard to what’s sexy and what’s not sexy. We all need to be a little more supportive of each other. I think if we start there, we’ll see a difference.”

Amen, Tia. Amen.
