Jon Gosselin: I Want to Bring Collin Home in Time for Christmas!

Over the weekend, Collin Gosselin resurfaced in photos of him visiting his father, Jon Gosselin.

This was heartwarming for countless fans, especially since they know that Jon has filed for custody of Collin.

Now, a family friend has opened up — and reveals that Collin could be home with Jon and Hannah surprisingly soon.

Eric Rodriguez is the guy who’s been cutting Jon Gosselin’s hair for about 20 years now.

Just this week, Jon shared a photo of Eric with Collin, and referred to Eric as “family.”

Well Eric spoke to RadarOnline to reveal that Jon’s quest to bring his son home has a goal: before Christmas.

“Jon is hoping for December 18,” Eric reveals.

Folks, that’s only a little over a month away.

Speaking of Collin, Eric says: “Lets hope he gets out soon.”

We all share the sentiment of hoping that Collin is soon free.

Fans all want him to be free of the institution that holds him and free of Kate, who put him there and made his childhood a living hell.

But Eric has actually seen and spoken to Collin recently, as the photo Jon shared makes abundandly clear.

Eric says that Collin seemed “so happy” during his visit.

“Oh my god. His smile,” Eric gushes to RadarOnline. “Honestly, his smile was unbelievable”

Eric even shares that Collin seems very healthy.

“He lost a lot of weight from the last picture I saw of him that Jon showed me,” Eric divulges.

it is important to remember that teenagers tend to have weights and body proportions that fluctuate wildly as they grow.

“He looks really, really good,” Eric concludes.

That is so heartwarming to hear.

Collin has been out of sight — but not out of mind — for the better part of two years.

As we reported, on October 24, Jon Gosselin filed for custody of Collin.

In the court documents filed in Pennsylvania court, Jon argues that it’s in Collin’s best interests to live with him.

Anyone familiar with Kate’s troubled and at times allegedly violent interactions with Collin will find that difficult to dispute.

Hannah is already with her father, and most of her siblings have gotten to spend time with him here and there.

Now, no one is saying that Jon should be winning any Father of the Year Awards.

but Kate will be hard pressed to prove to the court that he should return to the home from which she banished him.

Collin was sent away in the first place for vague “special needs.”

Jon has explained in the past that Collin is smart and questions Kate, which infuriates her.

Kate has been widely perceived as being deeply controlling, which brought her into conflict with her son who wanted to be his own person.

Some fans believe that his alleged “anger issues” are simply the result of growing up under the suffocating constraints of Kate’s household.

Others believe that perhaps he inherited his mother’s rage, and that working on it in an institution as he has is the best way to keep him from turning into another Kate.

Either way, it sounds like him leaving Kate’s household, as hard as it must have been, was for the best.

But now, countless fans are keeping their fingers crossed and hoping that Collin can come and live with Jon.

It’s not super clear how many of his children Jon can afford to support on a DJ’s salary.

But plenty of parents have made do with less in order to give their children a safe, loving home.

Jon and Kate have been waging a custody battle off and on for nearly a decade, now, since their messy split in 2009.

Maybe Collin can finally join Hannah and get to start really experiencing his teenage years.

Leaving his current institution just to return to Kate’s house sounds like an “out of the frying pan, into the fire” situation.

Kate Gosselin Baits Fans, Leaves Collin Out of Early Birthday Pic

Last year, Kate Gosselin wasn’t shy about the fact that five of her sextuplets celebrated their birthday without Collin.

Kate has been beyond vague about his “treatment program” for alleged “special needs” that has kept him away from his siblings for years.

Now, as her children turn 14, Collin is nowhere to be found. But Kate seems to be trying to hide that fact.

In the captions of this photo, Kate writes:

“Rainy day ice cream. … #HowAreMyBabiesTurning14?”

Kate and John’s sextuplets will turn 14 on Thursday, May 10.

“#LoveThemAll (even the ones who refused to be in the pic)”

Despite a caption that many saw as almost begging for questions about Collin Gosselin, some commenters glossed over his absence from the photo to fawn over kate.

Others just ignored all of that to make simple, positive posts.

“WOW! 14 already?! They have grown so quickly.”

A number of Kate’s harshest critics noticed Collin’s absence and spoke up.

“This lady is evil all she cares about is herself, fame and having everything her way.”

That is a common characterization of Kate.

“She did it again, wanted to get people attention and got it.”

This comment seems to refer to her highlighting Collin’s absence, which people see as a (successful) strategy for getting a lot of Instagram interactions.

“FREE COLLIN!!!!!!!!!”

Some fear the worst for the poor boy.

“Collin could be away in some dungeon for all [fans] know.”

Others expressed disgust with Kate for shipping him off.

“Sick that she as a parent wouldn’t want to learn how to deal with any issues. I did. Rather have my children where they feel loved and part of the family no matter what. Families do that.”

Others would at least like an explanation.

“She could let the public know how he is doing. The saddest thing to me is that the dad to my knowledge has no contact with Collin. I don’t understand why he cannot take legal action to get to see his son.”

Others were more charitable in their view of Kate and even spoke in her defense.

“Poor Collin.. I know he’s getting help and she’s doing what she needs to do to be a good mom. I just feel bad he can’t celebrate his birthdays with his siblings.”

One person thinks that Kate is right to be so cryptic about Collin.

“When Kate (and Collin) are ready to let fans of Kate Plus 8 know more about their situation, they’ll do so. Not before, not for the sake of your curiosity or even your concern.”

Fans with comments like this should probably remember that Collin likely won’t be free to speak his mind. That’s for another four years.

When fans say that, they should remember that four years isn’t an inconvenience — that is a massive chunk of a teenager’s life.

The Kate apologists continued to post, and some got very defensive.

“She posted a pic of her children who I believe she loves greatly. I don’t believe he was ‘kicked out’ and all I am saying is stop asking where Colin is every time she posts something.”

That person doesn’t think that people should even ask? About the whereabouts and well-being of a minor?

Other fans were weirded out by that assertion.

“I think it’s should be ok to ask where Colin is people who has watched the show from the beginning, [they] are just curious.”

Yep.

“I find it sad how some of Kate’s fans are telling other Kate fans to stop talking about Collin. It’s been 3 years since he’s been gone and nothing from Kate. Now before you bring up the privacy argument,simply telling fans that hes home is not exposing details about anything.”

Many feel that such a level of privacy — where someone can just disappear for years without explanation — goes out the window when you use your children as props to become reality stars.

Other commenters decided to try to steer away from the Collin discussion, writing:

“I’m sure Kate is referring to the twins not wanting to be in the picture.”

Sure.

What may be our favorite comment was this one:

“Shouldn’t be Kate +7.”

It’s hard to tell if this person is saying that Collin should be there, or if they mean shouldn’t it, suggesting that the show’s name should be changed for accuracy.

Kate Gosselin: Leah Has No Braces AND No Collin! Hooray!

Just because Kate Gosselin had her children celebrate without Collin on Collin’s birthday doesn’t mean that she doesn’t know how to celebrate milestones for her other children.

This time, it’s Leah Gosselin who’s being celebrated, as she finally got her braces off!

And while the photos are cute, reactions in the form of Instagram comments were all over the place.

It seems that Collin Gosselin is still missing, off at some dubious institution where Kate decided that he belonged.

But Kate does have other children who, in an indictment of our society’s inability to look after the well-being of children, remain in Kate Gosselin’s custody.

There are, however, some positive moments, even in that household.

And there are things to celebrate.

In the photo below, Leah Gosselin — who, like her fellow sextuplets, turned 13 over the summer — has finally gotten her braces off.

And she’s celebrating with an array of tasty desserts … among other snacks.

See how happy she looks!

Leah’s smile is bright and celebratory!

But still not quite as happy as her smile will be when she one day escapes from her mother and never looks back.

As you can see, her teeth are no longer imprisoned by a sharp metal tooth-corset, which, having had braces when I was about her age, is how I would describe braces.

You can’t see her food choices too well in this photo, so Kate, in either a rare moment of kindness or perhaps a desperate attempt to show that she can be “nice” and “fun” sometimes, really, she promises, shared another photo.

In it, we see cake, a number of candies, and popcorn … which makes us think that Kate must have actually enforced the orthodontist’s rules about what to not eat with braces.

(When I had braces, I avoided only popcorn. Gum actually helped me adjust to having the braces, and I never had any problem with gum or anything else)

But here are the treats that Leah got to enjoy:

With both photos, Kate Gosselin included the caption:

“Somebody got their braces off today! [three grinning-face emojis] #CongratsLeah #BracesOffParty #GosselinTradition #BracesOnBracesOffConstantHere”

We’ll say this much about Kate Gosselin — having a braces-off celebration for your kids is a great idea.

That might be the only parenting advice that we’d ever take from her.

Various followers chimed in with well wishes:

“Hahaha … another constant is there’s always something to celebrate … no wonder everybody seems to be so happy …”

Instagram comments don’t  really need that many ellipses … but okay.

“That is so awesome! Kate, you’re always finding unique ways to make your kids feel special and I LOVE that! [red heart emoji]”

We weren’t the only ones who are still preoccupied by the fact that Kate decided to disappear her own child and keep him isolated from his siblings.

One commenter wrote:

“Collin doesn’t get braces.”

Point of fact, we don’t know that Collin does or does not have braces. But we don’t know because, well, he’s wherever Kate sent him off to.

Another commenter replied:

“Yeah, that poor child.”

Our only comfort is that Collin, though isolated from his siblings, is at least away from Kate.

When there’s nothing else that you can do, folks, you have to look at the bright side.

Kate Gosselin: Yeah, We Partied Without Collin on His Birthday! That"s Life!

In case you’ve forgotten that evil triumphs when good people do nothing, here’s a reminder: Kate Gosselin is still around and allowed to be a parent.

We’d say that she still has all eight children in her clutches, but as we mentioned, Collin Gosselin is missing. He didn’t even get to attend his own birthday party with his five fellow sextuplets. Fans are worried. Fans are angry.

The beast of a woman herself actually spoke about his absence. We’ve been waiting for ages to hear a satisfactory explanation.

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait longer than that.

Kate had a lot to say during a confessional for Kate Plus 8, which is somehow still on TV, but as you can see, she’s still skirting the issue.

You have to wonder if she doesn’t really care.

“Thirteen — need we say more?”

That’s a huge milestone — they’re teenagers!

(That much closer to reaching adulthood and making their escape)

But yes, she needs to say more.

“The photos around the cake, I have them for every year, every child, every birthday.”

Every child, though?

“It’s definitely an iconic moment.”

Pictures are forever, after all.

“This year [was] much like last year.”

Here it comes:

“Obviously the difference is that Collin wasn’t there.”

Yeah, we’ve known that ever since the earliest promotional materials showed that Collin Gosselin was missing from his own birthday party.

“I am comforted with the fact that my kids, all of them, each unique child, is receiving exactly what they need and that hasn’t changed.”

What they need and what she thinks that they need are likely very, very different things.

“I’ve said that before, I’ll say it again. It’s a bittersweet moment [and] we’ve had many of them.”

Bittersweet is a good word for that family.

Because the children are sweet, but they’re sure to grow into bitter adults.

The world has just stood by and watched — literally watched — during Kate’s reign of terror.

“You can’t do anything without realizing he’s missing.”

So maybe you should let him celebrate his birthday with his siblings, especially when this year involved a huge birthday bash.

And let his siblings celebrate their birthdays with him.

“So we may not say it, but it’s always there.”

Now, we get that Collin is in some mystery facility with alleged “behavior specialists.”

Jon Gosselin claims to have an idea of where Collin is but he doesn’t seem to know any specifics, which is scary enough.

Needless to say, we don’t trust Kate Gosselin as far as we can throw her.

(Actually, Kate’s only 5-foot-4, so we don’t trust her anywhere close to as far as we could throw her)

We don’t know much of anything about where Collin is staying, what sort of treatment he’s receiving, or when he’ll leave.

We’re of two minds about it.

On the one hand, there are some facilities for children with behavioral problems that are not legitimate or safe.

Hopefully Kate didn’t choose one of those — but we just don’t really know, do we?

On the other hand, maybe the best possible thing for Collin is to be away from the awful woman whose own “behavior problems” did so much damage to him and his siblings in the first place.

Maybe he’s better off being away from her, even on his birthday.

But he and his siblings have to be missing each other.

Did he celebrate his birthday alone in an institution?

Did he get to celebrate it at all?

The sextuplets are 13, now.

Just 5 long, long years until they’re old enough to escape from Kate on their own.

We wonder if they’ll do a special miniseries titled “Escape From Kate” that chronicles their newly free lives and almost certainly getting therapy for PTSD.

(We’re not kidding — we fully expect that at least some of them will need it)

More heartbreaking than having them adjust to being adults in a non-toxic environment will be when one of them inevitably breaks down on camera and asks the viewers — and America — why they never did anything to rescue the kids sooner.

Maybe some of these kids will grow up to be advocates for children, like those women on Escaping Polygamy.

In the mean time … why is it that Kenya Moore’s reality career is at risk if her new husband doesn’t appear on The Real Housewives of Atlanta …

… But Kate Gosselin is free and clear to just disappear her own child with almost no explanation?

Because, as Kate Gosselin’s children know better than most, the world isn’t fair.

Collin Gosselin Absent From Own Birthday Party; Kate Plus 8 Fans Concerned, Livid on Twitter

Where is Collin Gosselin? One of Kate’s eight kids was missing from his own birthday party on last night’s show, and fans were not happy.

Yes, Kate Plus 8 Season 6 Episode 3 marked a milestone as the sextuplets turned 13, but the elephant not in the room was the big story.

If you watch Kate Plus 8 online, you will see a big party celebrating five of the six Kate Gosselin sextuplets officially becoming teenagers.

Of course, with Collin not there, TLC may we well rename the show Kate Plus 7 these days … like a reverse 17, 18, 19 Kids & Counting.

Kate’s show hasn’t featured son Collin Gosselin in ages, as he no longer lives in the family home due to his unspecified “special needs.”

While it’s well known that he is living away from the family in a program for kids who need special treatment, it’s never been clear why.

Moreover, viewers were really hoping he wouldn’t be absent from his own birthday party and would reunite with his sextuplet siblings.

Apparently not.

Instead, Aaden, Alexis, Hannah, Leah and Joel were all on hand for a celebratory camping trip with their brother nowhere to be seen.

The five kids had a blast, it appeared, with the girls getting pampered with facials and the boys embarking on a fun scavenger hunt.

Their older sisters, 16 year-old twins Mady and Cara, were along for the ride, and Kate had a freakout here and there, but it was great.

Minus the Collin thing.

The kids turned 13 on May 10, and the party was one of the focal points of this new season catching fans up on what Kate is doing.

Yet Collin’s absence and continued struggles have been such a letdown for viewers that many are questioning why the show airs at all.

More than a few viewers took note of his absence and how the troubled youngster is basically not even part of the family/cast anymore.

Obviously, he is, but it doesn’t feel like it.

The fact that he was turning 13, a pretty major life milestone, and still not present really underscored this sad situation like never before.

Collin also missed out on the family ski trip that aired on July 17, but this a much bigger deal and doubly painful to longtime supporters.

But life goes on, apparently, and just because Collin didn’t get to be a part of his own birthday celebration doesn’t mean there wasn’t one.

Fans took to Twitter in droves to express their feelings about it, however, making something that didn’t happen the night’s top storyline.

His whereabouts are shrouded in mystery, which would be understandable, given the private and sensitive nature of the situation.

But estranged father Jon Gosselin recently shocked fans when he suggested Kate Gosselin is holding Collin hostage essentially.

Jon claimed he had no information about his son’s whereabouts, and said Kate is refusing to tell even him where the boy lives:

“I have an idea but I don’t really know where he is. I mean, I ask but she doesn’t tell me. She doesn’t answer any of my texts.”

Kate responded in an interview that Collin is just fine, thank you, and took the opportunity to throw some serious shade at Jon.

Obviously. This is Kate after all.

She said it’s a sad state of affairs that Jon is using Collin’s recent behavioral issues as an excuse to question her competency as a mother.

“I’m really focused less on what Jon has to say,” Kate said, accusing Jon of a transparent attempt to look like the more concerned parent.

“I don’t really pay attention, to be honest.”

Jon’s attorney responded that he is “very upset by certain statements made to the press” and feels “the whole story is not being told.”

Insiders say Jon was not exaggerating when he claimed to be unaware of Collin’s whereabouts; Kate says obviously he knows where he is.

Kate said she is prohibited from saying anything more by court order, though the situation is being handled as best as it can be.

Collin Gosselin: MISSING from His Own Birthday Party?!

So, Kate Gosselin threw a big birthday bash for her sextuplets last month, because they all turned 13.

Making everyone who remembers their birth feel approximately 90.

But with reports saying that there was no sign of Collin for his own birthday, a lot of people are deeply concerned about his whereabouts.

The party itself was probably an effort on Kate’s part to show that she doesn’t see them as nothing more than walking, talking meal-tickets and targets for her rage.

But also it’s going to be a TV special, because, just like how Josh Duggar’s getting screen time again, nobody seems to bat an eye at continuing to give Kate Gosselin airtime and the paycheck that comes with it.

Collin has been a vaguely troubled boy for a long time, but reports that Collin Gosselin is missing from promo materials is alarming, considering that this was for his own birthday.

Is it possible that he was there, but that they withheld his image from promo materials to hook viewers?

Sure. And let’s hope so, because he should

Still, people are worried, as he’s allegedly at some sort of “special school” to deal with his behavioral issues.

But even Jon Gosselin doesn’t know where Collin is.

Apparently, Collin’s behavior includes angry outbursts and that’s why he needs treatment.

But the alleged treatment center, which may-or-may-not be some sort of special needs school, remains shrouded in mystery.

Apparently Jon Gosselin only has a rough idea.

But there’s nothing that he can do, it seems.

And the rest of us are in the dark.

About Collin’s location, and whether or not he was allowed to celebrate with the five siblings with whom he shared a womb.

Honestly, we don’t know the nature of his special needs, but we don’t doubt that they’ve been exacerbated by Kate Gosselin herself.

Because she’s just a horrible, horrible parent and we wouldn’t trust her to look after a pet rock, much less a child.

Much less eight children.

Kate has been complaining about Collin since he was a little boy.

Being singled out by a tyrant like Kate Gosselin, who treats her children like prisoners according to reports, would have a profound impact on a developing boy.

Though we wouldn’t expect to see the full psychological impact until years after the children have all escaped from her grasp.

Since we know that Kate Gosselin has been violent with Collin, that would only make things so much worse on this poor boy.

Honestly, we’re no therapists, but we expect that all of these kids are going to spend years on PTSD counseling.

And people used to worry that growing up on camera would ruin these kids’ lives.

Some fans are insisting that Kate should bring Collin home from wherever he is.

While we agree that he should get to be around his siblings, especially for their shared birthday, we wouldn’t condemn our worst enemy to Kate’s clutches.

Let alone some 13-year-old kid who, according to reports, has enough on his plate.

But then again, we don’t know enough about where he is.

Some “special schools” are wonderful institutions full of caring professionals.

Others are nightmare factories that aim to break teens of their “behavior problems.”

And we don’t trust Kate to have sent Collin to a reputable establishment.

Of all of Kate’s children, Collin’s eventual, inevitable tell-all book will be the one that we’re most interested in reading.

But also the one that will be most likely to upset us.

Collin Gosselin: Kate Plus 8 Return Explained ... and Not What You Think

Jon and Kate Gosselin’s troubled son Collin made a sudden, and surprising, appearance on the season finale of her reality show this week.

Now, in the wake of the Kate Plus 8 finale, we know why.

As fans who watch Kate Plus 8 online or read celebrity gossip on the reg know by now, the boy’s absence has been a frequent topic.

Collin, 12, has been in a program away from home.

In order to treat his unspecified “special needs” and “help him reach his full potential,” he’s been largely MIA from the current season.

The show, which chronicles Kate’s life with 16-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 12-year-old sextuplets, was essentially Kate Plus 7.

However, Collin appeared on Tuesday’s episode.

Somewhat of the blue, he showed up in a family game night scene, as well as a joint interview with his two brothers Joel and Aaden.

Collin remained mostly quiet, allowing his siblings to do most of the talking, though he seemed happy and engaged in the team trivia.

But fans who have been speculating about Collin’s appearance, and reappearance, may be disappointed to learn the following fact:

It was filmed before he was enrolled in the program.

“The reason he was on the show is that it was shot before he went away,” says the insider, “and sometimes footage airs out of order.”

Simple as that. A byproduct of reality TV editing.

In August, Kate opened up, albeit vaguely and carefully, about her decision to enroll Collin in the program for his “special needs.”

“[There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things,” Kate said.

“This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own. I’ve felt very alone in this.”

“By the same token, it’s not something that has only impacted me or him … our entire family has been impacted.”

“We miss him so much, so it’s been hard because there is a huge hole in our family without him here,” she added.

“But it comforts us to know he’s where he needs to be right now,” Kate concluded, “and I can feel good about that.”

Well, that’s a huge relief.

Kate went on to say:

“I don’t know what the road ahead entails, but I’m very happy with the care that he’s getting, and [that he is] exactly where he needs to be.”

“It comforts me as a mother … when you, as a mom, can’t give your kids what they need, it is a huge comfort to find people who can.”

Somehow we doubt this will quiet the controversy, or put an end to debate over whether Kate is lying about Collin and his whereabouts.

Moreover, Jon Gosselin (remember him?) has alleged that she’s hiding their son from him, and threatened to take her to court over it.

We wish the boy the best, wherever he may be. We just wish he had parents who had their acts together and truly put his interests first.

We’re not sure that’s the case.

Jon Gosselin: Kate is Holding Collin HOSTAGE From Me!

Jon Gosselin says he’s so out of the loop when it comes to his son’s whereabouts that he doesn’t even know where the 12-year-old is now.

Collin Gosselin is in treatment for unspecified “special needs” following years of behavior struggles, Kate vaguely revealed this summer.

As far as additional details, we’re in the dark. So is Jon.

“I have an idea where he is but I don’t really know where he is,” he tells ET’s Jennifer Peros, alleging that Kate is keeping secrets from him.

While Kate “says Collin is in a special school for special needs kids with behavioral problems,” Jon claims he has been told otherwise.

By law enforcement officials, no less.

Collin is conspicuously missing from the new Kate Plus 8 trailer that debuted late last month, and won’t be appearing in the new season.

He’s also been MIA from interviews, magazines and other promotional materials in which Kate has been accused of exploiting Collin.

So where does Jon fit in to all this?

Kate currently has full legal custody of their kids, twins Cara and Mady, 16, and sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah, 12.

Jon has partial physical custody, but says he hasn’t seen his kids all together in years, and Collin specifically in over a year and a half.

That’s when he claims Kate took him out of the private school he was attending without consulting him, keeping his whereabouts secret.

“I mean, I ask but she doesn’t tell me,” he told the TV program about Collin’s current location. “She doesn’t answer any of my texts.” 

Jon claims that Collin’s brothers and sisters are also not in touch with him, and either have “no idea” where he is or aren’t telling him.

As a result, he says he’s going to court.

“They know their mom told them that he has behavioral issues,” he says, adding that the boy “seemed fine” to him the last time he saw him.

Then again … that was awhile ago now.

He describes Collin as “really smart” and “incredibly intuitive … I could see my kids getting annoyed with that because he’s the smartest.”

“He does this, and he does that, and he always wants it his way,” Gosselin also observes. “He’s very particular, which could be bothersome.”

“But, he’s very loving too.”

Regardless, if you read between the lines, Kate admits abusing Collin in the past and isn’t exactly coming across well in any of this.

In August, Jon said he was extremely upset at Kate’s new People cover story and the comments she made pertaining to their son.

“[There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis,” she said of Collin’s issue, “but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things.”

“I love my children very much,” Jon fired back, bristling at that quote. “I’ve always been there for them and I always will be.”

To imply otherwise, he says, “it’s shocking.”

Kate Gosselin: Destroyed By Fans For Abusing, Exploiting Collin!

Kate Gosselin says her troubled son, Collin, has been sent away from home to treat “special needs” … and fans are far from pleased.

Obviously, Collin’s personal situation has sparked debate and sympathy from the public, as no one likes to see an adolescent struggle.

The 41-year-old single mom’s conduct – past and present – has come under heavy scrutiny, however, as it pertains to the child.

Kate’s Instagram post promoting her People cover story, which featured all the kids but Collin, has quite the collection of harsh comments.

Followers have lashed out, accusing her of exploiting her 12-year-old son’s issues for her own personal gain – nothing new for Kate.

“Shame on you for being so desperate for attention that you disclose this information about your beautiful boy!” one fellow mom wrote.

“There is no low too low for you,” another opined.

“Colin,” the fan said, “deserves better from you.”

Damn, that’s rough, but after Kate admitted spanking Collin and being “too rough” on him in an attempt to deal with his personal issues?

Well, fans are even more pissed.

“I can’t help but think, one day Collin will read about himself on the Internet, and really think there’s something wrong with him,” says a fan.

Collin has reportedly been undergoing care for at least one month at a Philadelphia-area facility nearly two hours from the family home.

“[There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things,” she said.

“This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own. I’ve felt very alone in this.”

“By the same token, it’s not something that has only impacted me or him … our entire family has been impacted [by this].” 

Meanwhile, a source close to the children’s father, Jon Gosselin, says he’s furious at the reality star for taking their son’s problems public.

“Jon can’t believe that Kate is talking about this for the cover of a magazine,” the insider said. “Collin is just a kid, and deserves his privacy.”

Jon is also beside himself that his daughters called him a deadbeat in the interview, but that’s a whole different story for another time.

In any event, the abuse allegations against Kate are not new. See Robert Hoffman’s 2014 tell-all, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World.

According to the book, Kate acknowledged being “too rough” with Collin when he was as little as two years old and wouldn’t obey her.

“I feel so guilty that I treated him like that,” she wrote, of disciplining him harshly in 2006. “I will set out tomorrow to be a better mommy.”

In January 2007, when Collin knocked over a high chair and spilled a bag of beans, Kate wrote in her diary that she flew into a rage.

“I was instantly so SO angry, that I grabbed him and spanked him as hard as I could and thought I may seriously injure him,” she wrote.

“So I sent him to his crib til Jon came home!” she wrote. “I have never felt that I may seriously injure a child but today was that day!”

Kate says she noticed Collin’s temper, and observed that she did not like “that he doesn’t know how to handle his frustration and anger.” 

Fast forward ten years, and here we are.

She’ll be dealing with the frustration and anger of the public the more she talks about it, and it’s hard to say the criticism isn’t warranted.

We just hope Collin is doing better.

Kate Gosselin: I Was WAY Too Rough With Collin Before His Diagnosis

Last month, Kate Gosselin revealed that her son, Collin has a disability, and is away working through his issues.

Signs that the little boy was not like his siblings began to show in 2010, when he was expelled from school.

“Collin had such bad issues that he refused to get his picture taken at school. He’s tired of being on-camera,” a source told In Touch Weekly at the time, which followed Gosselin’s 2009 split from husband, Jon.

“The kids are going through a very challenging time, but Kate doesn’t feel this is something that should be discussed publicly.”

Another reveal came from Robert Hoffman’s 2014 tell-all, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World, which contains some of Gosselin’s personal diary entries, according to Radar Online.

In September 2006, Gosselin expressed regret over being “too rough” with Collin, then 2, when he refused to sit in a corner after misbehaving.

“I feel so guilty that I treated him like that,” she wrote.

“I will set out tomorrow to be a better mommy.”

Perhaps one of the most frightening example of Collin’s behavior mixing with his mother’s short fuse occurred in January 2007, when Collin knocked over a high chair and spilled a bag of beans.

“I was instantly so SO angry, that I grabbed him and spanked him as hard as I could and thought I may seriously injure him so I sent him to his crib til Jon came home!” she wrote.

As the boy’s mom, Gosselin noticed his temper, and wrote that she did like “that he doesn’t know how to handle his frustration and anger.”

When she was interviewed by People Magazine, Gosselin revealed that Collin does have behavior issues, and that he’s away getting help.

Gosselin, 41, explained that Collin does have special needs, and is in a program that will hopefully “help him reach his full potential.

Viewers who watched Jon & Kate Plus 8 are familiar with Gosselin’s own temper when it comes to disciplining her kids.  

It’s even earned her a reputation for being a cold, distant mother.

On the other hand, she’s raising eight children while her ex-husband was off finding himself whilst wearing Affliction and Ed Hardy.  

When you think about it, Gosselin does deserve a little credit for raising so many kids on her own.
