Bethenny Frankel Shares Devastating News About Her Dog, Cookie
Today is Manafort Monday, and we"re all gleefully following the news of indictments, arrests, and plea deals. But not all news today is happy news.
Over the weekend, Bethenny Frankel shared some very grim news about her dog, Cookie, experiencing seizures. She asked fans for help and advice, and we have some video of that, below.
Bethenny shared a tragic update this morning.
Bethenny Frankel is more than just a star of The Real Housewives of New York City.
She and her team coordinate disaster relief efforts. She"s been busy this summer, visiting disaster sites in the US such as Houston and Puerto Rico.
For some wealthy celebrities, charity is a means of self-promotion or even a way to alleviate a misplaced sense of guilt.
(Or boredom!)
For Bethenny Frankel, her work in devastated areas is a passion.
As I told my roommate when she arrived in Puerto Rico with private planes loaded with relief supplies: "Bethenny Frankel is not a chillful woman."
Even after everything that she"s gone through in the past few days, Bethenny was sure to tweet shortly after noon on Monday:
"PR/USVI/MEXICO I am still working for you. Still donating, planning flights & working for the cargo ship. xoxo"
Bethenny is also an avid dog-lover.
(Aren"t we all?)
Her dogs have their own social media accounts.
On Saturday, Bethenny took to social media to share the very upsetting news about the health of one of her dogs, Cookie.
In a series of truly hard-to-watch videos, a tearful Bethenny Frankel on Saturday revealed that Cookie was undergoing lengthy seizures.
Separated from her assistants and staff (she was staying in the Hamptons with her daughter, as she does on weekends), Bethenny turned to social media for advice — as so many of us do.
Though Bethenny reportedly took Cookie to the veterinarian after about three minutes of Cookie"s frightening seizures, she got flack from fans for reaching out to social media.
Bethenny replied: "Bc u cannot call dog 911, so I needed you. I literally didn’t know if lifting her would kill her or if she’d swallow tongue."
She took Cookie to the veterinarian, who was 40 minutes away.
In addition to the videos (below), Bethenny also shared updates in a series of tweets.
"My peanut & I experienced a 45 min dog seizure & have obvious decisions to make &” in case” goodbyes to say. @cookiedabooboo is still alive."
Bethenny"s young daughter, whom she shares with Jason Hoppy, experienced all of this, too.
"It’s clear what’ll happen, but panic/trauma w 7 yr old is a lot. Constant seizures for 45 mins in car to vet 45 mins away. #sadhelpless"
Bethenny thanked her fans for their advice and support.
"And u are amazing. When ur alone in something terrifying, u don’t know whether to move dog,put stick in mouth or sit still. This waa rough."
She updated how she was doing throughout the weekend.
"My dog had too long a seizure & I’m pissed the closest vet is 40 mins away. I’m in a bad place. She will be put down"
And the updates got worse.
"She is not regaining consciousness. It’s to be expected but this was a horrifying experience."
Someone asked why she didn"t take Cookie to the vet right away — but she did.
"We did 3 mins into foaming/seizure.Holding 30lb convulsing dog w 7 yr old&driving w bone in dying dog’s mouth is rough."
That is truly heartbreaking.
"Thanks for the love. @cookiedabooboo is alive but had a very high temp & 45 min seizure so she’s resting at hospital. Not time yet…."
She reported good news.
"She is 17 & did have 108 fever & 45 mins of seizures, but she licked Bryn & reacted to my belly rubs. Better today but TBD"
But Bethenny has always been a realist.
"Yes. I’m not delusional abt it, but she oddly seemed peaceful & MD said she’s in no pain & it would be a miracle"
She thanked fans again for their outpouring of love and support.
"I’m grateful. People are loving & caring. Part of me thinks the crap in the world is to bring us closer & make us better. Thank you."
And then, early Monday morning, Bethenny provided another update:
"My baby had 2 more seizures last PM. My heart is broken."
A lot of stories have happy endings.
Tragically, this one does not.
Bethenny posted this morning, on both Twitter and Instagram, a photo of her giving Cookie a kiss.
Her caption reads:
"My furry first baby, May your next life be as beautiful as this one was over the last 17 years. Thank you for all the love you gave to me and my peanut. See you on the other side my love. Xo"
This is devastating news.
Some hateful people will doubtlessly try to tell Bethenny that she"s in the wrong, here.
She is not.
It"s the responsibility of everyone with a pet to make medical decisions for their furry (or scaley or feathered) friend. Cookie was 17 and did not deserve to suffer.
It sounds like Bethenny did the right thing every step of the way. This is heartbreaking news, but sometimes death is the preferable option to slowly suffering.
Our thoughts should be with Bethenny Frankel and her family as their mourn losing a loved one.

Kim Kardashian Receives Devastating Phone Call, Breaks Down
Kim Kardashian received bad news on Keeping Up with the Kardashians this past Sunday night:
She cannot take the risk of getting pregnant again.
Due to health issues that played a role in Kim giving birth to children North West and Saint West, doctors advised Kim against trying for a third child on an especially emotional installment of this reality series.
But Kim better get over that development quickly.
Because she"s about to get hit with another devastating piece of personal news.
In our first sneak peek at the next all-new episode of this faltering show, we see Kim receive a phone call.
We hear her start to cry and scream to whomever is on the other line:
"Don’t scare me, please. What"s going on?"
Is there something wrong with her kids? Did her social media manager put up the wrong photo?
Nope and nope.
Instead, it"s very safe to assume that this is Kardashian"s reaction to learning that husband Kanye West just suffered some kind of mental breakdown and is being taken to the hospital.
This incident occurred just a few weeks after Kim"s robbery in Paris and led to Kanye ending up in a hospital for nine days.
He"s scarcely been seen in public or heard from since, as rumors persist about the state of his marriage.
According to most reports at the time, however, Kardashian remained by the rapper"s side as much as possible while he recovered from this self-inflicted attack.
She hasn"t spoken much to the media about it, but that doesn"t mean she has a problem exploiting what happened for reality show ratings.
Lord knows Keeping Up with the Kardashians could use some right about now.

The Bachelor Season Finale: Inside the Devastating, "Selfish" Proposal!
You won’t read this among The Bachelor spoilers, but after a decade and a half and 35 seasons on ABC, you really shouldn’t need to:
On Monday night’s finale, prepare to cry.
And we’re not talking about some quiet weeping. We mean prepare to cry ALL the tears, because all three people involved sure will be.
Heading into the final rose ceremony, where he must choose Raven Gates or Vanessa Grimaldi as The Bachelor winner, Nick Viall has:
1. A stunning engagement ring (from Neil Lane, natch).
2. The perfect setting (a log cabin in Lapland, Finland).
3. An avalanche of nerves, fear and self-doubt.
Good times all around. Even for a guy who has made openly bawling on The Bachelor franchise his calling card, this ought to be a doozy.
The Waukesha, Wisconsin, native has endured three TV rejections in as many years, and well, that will mess with your head after awhile.
“Nick was scared to death,” a show source says.
“He said if he left alone, he would be devastated.”
But was that level of inner torment unnecessary?
Everything we’ve read and heard about the finale indicates that Viall indeed popped the question to the woman of his choice in Finland.
As for whether it’s special education teacher Vanessa Grimaldi or boutique owner Raven Gates, and whether or not she says yes?
Follow the links above for spoilers. We’re not giving it away here … other than to say Nick picked a $ 93,000, 4-carat diamond rock.
Viall “was over the moon” about proposing on the finale, shares a production insider, but having been down this road, it was also tough.
Hours before the moment of the truth, Nick cracked.
As the runner-up professed her love, not knowing that she would be the runner-up and not the winner, Viall knew her pain like no other.
“He wanted to let her feel like she left nothing on the table,” the inside source explains of Viall’s motivation in letting her get that far.
Then he cut her loose, a feeling he remembers well.
“He told her his heart was with someone else,” says the source, noting that Nick felt awful for going through with the ceremony at all.
“He tells the runner-up, ‘I’ve been so selfish.’”
Viall felt bad for keeping her around, and moreover, “he could relate to the woman he was sending home more than the woman chosen.”
“Nick had empathy for her,” the production insider reports, noting that “it was hard for him to let her go because it hit so close to home.”
Their parting of ways hit both hard, to say the least.
“The finale is very emotional,” says the insider.
As for the burning questions of who Nick does propose to, if she says yes, and assuming she does, whether they will possibly last?
All of that remains to be seen, but we’ll tell you this:
It ain’t over until it’s over, and we’ve been promised a “historic” finale, so there may be a twist in store the likes of which we’ve never seen.
Of course, Chris Harrison and Mike Fleiss play the “history” card more often than Nick cries, so you can’t take that at face value either.

Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin: Divorce Was Devastating for Son Isaac!
At this point, we probably know as much about Kailyn Lowry’s divorce from Javi Marroquin as she does.
There’s just so. Much. Drama.
We’ve heard about it on Twitter, we’ve heard about it in interviews, and now, at long last, we’re hearing about it in new episodes of Teen Mom 2.
Perhaps the only thing we don’t know about this wretched divorce is who cheated — both of them subtly accuse the other and deny any wrongdoing themselves.
But at this point, does it really matter?
As this terrible former couple is proving over and over again, they have no business being together. Kailyn is rude and spiteful and petty, and Javi … well, Javi doesn’t need that.
They’re just such a bad match, but of course they were in love at one point, enough to build a family together.
And, as always, it’s always the children who suffer.
Little Lincoln seems to be doing all right with the divorce, but he’s a little young to really grasp everything.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Isaac.
Isaac is Kailyn’s son with Jo Rivera, the one she gave birth to after being 16 and pregnant. If you’ve seen any bit of Teen Mom 2, you know how much he loves his stepdad, Javi.
So on Monday night’s new episode of the show, the one where Kailyn finally told Isaac about the divorce, things were especially rough.
She told the boys that when Javi returned home from his deployment, he wouldn’t be living with them.
That conversation was fine, but Isaac was confused when he heard that Lincoln would be staying with Javi for a week while he stayed with Kailyn.
Isaac also struggled when Kailyn told him that only Lincoln would have a room in Javi’s new house.
The topic came up when he told her that he wanted his bedroom at Javi’s place to have a Jurassic Park theme, but Kailyn told him “I don’t know if you’re going to have your own room at his house.”
“I think if you go over there you can stay in Lincoln’s room,” she said. “I don’t think you’re going to have your own room.”
Poor Isaac got upset, because he didn’t understand why Lincoln would get a room and he wouldn’t.
Kailyn told him that “it just doesn’t work that way.”
It was pretty cold of her, honestly. Isaac was feeling confused and hurt, and she didn’t seem to offer him any comfort.
Thankfully, things worked out: in a new interview, Javi says as much.
“Yeah, it was sad to see him like that,” he admits, “but he does have his own room at my house. He’s doing a lot better now.”
One, it’s so good that Isaac is more at ease with the situation now, because his reaction to the divorce has been heartbreaking to consider. He was always so close to Javi.
And two, how great is Javi?!

Khloe Kardashian Posts Devastating Message About "Broken" Lamar Odom
Khloe Kardashian is unleashing ALL her feelings about love, loss and Lamar on Instagram.
This morning, the reality TV star took to the social media platform to post tearful quotes on relationships and penned a thoughtful 400-word essay of her own.
“‘Letting go doesn’t mean that you don’t care about someone anymore,"” she begins. “‘It’s just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself."”
It sounded like a rather generic quote on lost love, but the words that followed appeared to be specific to her situation with estranged husband Lamar Odom.
“We have to learn to stop taking on peoples problems as if they are our own,” she continued.
“Loving people does not mean we have to carry their burdens and confusions on our back. Sadly, You can only express your opinion on a situation. You can’t want their life more than they do.”
It is likely that Khloe is referring to Lamar’s issues with substance abuse, which nearly led to his death last year after he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel after a weekend of partying.
Since then, Khloe has helped nurse him back to health and the two have been seen together many times, leading fans to believe a full-fledged reconciliation was on the way.
Indeed, Khloe herself said that in her perfect world, she and Lamar would one day be together again.
However, in recent weeks, Lamar was seen drinking at a bar before attending church with Khloe on Easter Sunday, and last week, reports claimed he had contacted his old drug dealers for a hookup.
Khloe has pleaded with him to go to rehab, but the former NBA star refused.
About mid-way through her lengthy Instagram post, she alludes to her attempts to “fix” Lamar:
“You can’t force someone to be the person you need them to be. Even if it’s for their own good!! Sometimes the person you want most is the person you’re best without.”
She concluded the monograph with the following:
“A Girl once told me… Be careful when trying to fix a broken person. For you may cut yourself on their shattered pieces.”
Heavy stuff.
Sounds like Khloe is realizing she needs to let go of the love of her life for good, even if that results in his own self-destruction.

Leah Messer Receives Devastating Medical News About Daughter
Of all the troubled young mothers that have been featured on Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 over the years, perhaps none has experienced worse luck than Leah Messer.
In her six seasons on the show, we"ve seen Leah struggle with addiction, go through two divorces, and endure an ugly custody battle with Corey Simms.
But while other Teen Mom stars have endured substance abuse issues and bad breakups, most of their problems are self-created.
Leah"s decision-making abilities aren"t always the greatest, but her biggest cross to bear is not the result of any of her mistakes.
If you watch Teen Mom 2 online, you"re likely aware that one of Leah"s twin daughters, Aliannah, is battling muscular dystrophy.
In the clip below, Leah and Corey take Aliannah to her doctor, due to the fact that she"s been falling down more often than usual.
Unfortunately, they receive devastating news about her health.
“Her strength is still quite decent,” the doctor informs them. “But once she’s getting to age seven, then gradually, the maturity affects her. Then she may very slowly get weaker.”
He goes on to say that say that in the very near future she"ll likely lose her ability to walk and become completely reliant on her power wheelchair.

Kesha Sobs After Devastating Court Ruling, Stars Tweet Support
Kesha broke down in tears after the courts denied her request to be released from her contract with Sony and Dr. Luke, the music producer who she alleges raped her and emotionally abused her for 10 years.
Kesha filed a suit against Dr. Luke, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald, in October 2014, claiming he drugged and raped her when she was 18 and continued to physically and emotionally abuse her.
Dr. Luke denied the charges, claiming Kesha was trying to extort him and filed a countersuit.
“You’re asking the court to decimate a contract that was heavily negotiated and typical for the industry,” said Justice Shirley Kornreich, who presided over the case. “I don’t understand why I have to take the extraordinary measure of granting an injunction.”
Unfortunately, no mention was made of the extraordinary circumstance of the artist being abused by the producer.
The ruling means Kesha is obligated by law to record six more albums with the label, although Dr. Luke did agree to allow the singer to record without his involvement.
Nevertheless, it is understandable that Kesha would want to extricate herself completely from her alleged abuser and block him from any profits she generated with her music.
The court decision prompted outrage from Kesha supporters and the hashtag #FreeKesha began trending.
A number of fellow recording artists tweeted their support for the Tik Tok singer as well.
