Tori Kelly on the Grammys: I Loved It All!

Tori Kelly made quite the impression at the 58th annual Grammy Awards on Monday night.

First, she dressed like this on the red carpet:

Stare for as long as you’d like, fellas. This look likely would have been enough.

But then Kelly went out and sang a duet with James Bay that left the entire Staples Center abuzz as soon as it ended.

Watch the country artists knock their performance out of the park below:

But Kelly actually made more headlines in the end not for her fashion or for her voice… but for her facial expression.

While Taylor Swift was giving what most people considered a strong acceptance speech after winning Album of the Year, cameras captured Kelly looking less than excited.

See her reaction to Swift’s speech for yourself:

Does Kelly have a problem with the world’s most popular solo artist? Why did she look so disgusted when watching Taylor on stage?

In response to these questions and the chatter surrounding her, Kelly took to Twitter late Tuesday and wrote:

“I loved every moment of last night. I cant express how thankful I am. Here’s to the next chapter.”

Kelly also shared a photo from her performance with fellow Grammy nominee Bay and added:

“It was such a pleasure sharing the stage with you incredibly talented gentleman, @jamesbaymusic.”

So… that’s it? There’s no bad blood (get it?!?) between Kelly and Swift?!?

How boring. Kelly needs to stop being so talented and start being more controversial if she wants to make it in this business.

Rihanna: Epic Meltdown Before Canceling Grammys Performance?

Monday night’s 2016 Grammy Awards were loaded with memorable musical moments, but one highly-anticipated performance never went down, and we may finally know why.

As part of her ongoing comeback campaign (Her popularity never fell off, but she hasn’t released an album since 2012), Rihanna was supposed to perform a track off of Anti, but she called it off at the last minute.

Rumors abounded, and fans speculated that the singer was experiencing health problems.

Now, however, TMZ is reporting that Rihanna had a backstage meltdown and stormed out just hours before she was scheduled to take the stage.

Sources say Rihanna was “screaming and hysterical” the day of the show, as a rehearsal that didn’t go as planned reportedly sent the 27-year-old into a tantrum.

Witnesses say Rihanna loudly announced that she would not be performing before leaving the stage in a huff.

Reps for RiRi still maintain that she was forced to cancel after suffering a bronchitis flare-up.

Many have pointed out, however, that she sang flawlessly just two nights earlier at a charity event hosted by Lionel Richie.

Frankly, we’re not sure who to believe.

Her team’s explanation sounds a little too convenient, but then again, with the amount of weed Rihanna smokes, we imagine some minor throat irritation could happen at any time.

Of course, if the other story is true, it seems all that ganj isn’t doing much to chill RiRi out.

Calvin Harris Congratulates "Beautiful" Taylor Swift on Grammys Win

Taylor Swift received attention at the 2016 Grammy Awards for what she said about Kanye West.

But forget the singer’s main for for a second. Let’s focus on the artist’s beloved beau, shall we?

Calvin Harris did not attend the Grammy Awards themselves with Swift because he was busy recording in the studio.

But the DJ and music producer did catch up with his girlfriend at an after-party, finding time for some PDA (above) and making a point to gush over her on social media.

“Congratulations to my beautiful girlfriend,” Harris wrote as a caption to a photo of Swift accepting the Grammy for Album of the Year.

Swift, meanwhile, was not left alone on her big night. She attended the ceremony with best friend Selena Gomez and then shared the following montage on Instagram soon afterward:

“Oh what a night,” she included as an affiliated message to the pictures.

Swift walked away with Grammys for the album “1989” and also for the music video for “Bad Blood.”

But it was the bad blood between her and Kanye West that many continue to talk about, considering Swift responded to Kanye’s latest diss by clearly referencing him in her acceptance speech.

To young women around the globe, Swift said:

“Just focus on the work and don’t let those people sidetrack you… someday, when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there.

“And that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment.”

Duncan Jones: David Bowie"s Son Slams Lady Gaga After Grammys Tribute

Last night’s 2016 Grammy Awards featured a number of memorable, performances, but none of them attracted as much social media attention as Lady Gaga’s.

Gaga paid tribute to the late David Bowie with a medley of the rock icon’s best-known hits.

It was a natural fit, as Gaga and Bowie both managed to find tremendous mainstream success by blending pop music, fashion, and performance art to form genre- (and gender-) bending personas that were unlike anything that came before them.

Gaga even showed her respect for the Thin White Duke by getting a tattoo of Bowie’s face from the cover of his Aladdin Sane album the day before her performance.

Unfortunately for Gaga, not everyone agreed that she was the ideal choice to honor one of the most influential cultural figures of the past 40 years.

Bowie’s son, Duncan Jones, director of the acclaimed 2009 film Moon and the upcoming Warcraft tweeted about his distaste for Gaga’s performance shortly after her over-the-top mash-up gave way to a tie-in commercial for Intel.

“‘Overexcited or irrational, typically as a result of infatuation or excessive enthusiasm; mentally confused."” Damn it! What IS that word!?” Jones tweeted.

We’ll spare you the trip to Dictionary.com – the word is “gaga,” a term that Jones seems to feel is synonymous with vanity projects disguised as loving memorials.

Selena Gomez and Austin Swift: Hooking Up at the Grammys?!

After years of keeping a relatively low profile, Taylor Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, has spent the last week making tabloid headlines.

First, he dissed Kanye West after the rapper took a shot at his sister in a song. Now, he may be pissing off the music world’s other most famous douche by hooking up with Justin Bieber’s ex, Selena Gomez.

According to Hollywood Life, Austin and Selena were spotted looking more than friendly with one another as they sat side-by-side in the crowd at last night’s 2016 Grammy Awards

It’s not the first time that Taylor has brought her brother along to a star-studded event, but these days, 23-year-old isn’t a kid anymore, and we suppose it was only a matter of time before rumors that he was hooking up with a member of Taylor’s squad began to make the rounds online.

While Twitter was all about the idea of Austin and Selena as a couple during the Grammys last night, it seems like the eager Swifties may have jumped the gun a bit.

After all, we’re not even sure if Austin and Selena are actually hooking up, much less dating.

But if they end up becoming an item, we may find out what happens when #SquadGoals and #FamilyGoals collide.

Taylor Swift: Crying After Flubbed Grammys Performance?

As expected, Taylor Swift had a big night at the 2016 Grammy Awards last night.

Taylor took home the night"s top prize with her win for Album of the Year, and she even snuck in a shot at Kanye West during her acceptance speech.

Of course, the Grammys are all about the performances, and Taylor wowed the crowd with a rendition of her latest single, "Out of the Woods."

Unfortunately, the 26-year-old perfectionist wasn"t thrilled with her own vocals, and a crowd shot seems to have caught her commiserating with her squad after she left the stage.

Amateur lip-readers of the Internet claim that Taylor can be seen saying, "I missed that note" to the person sitting behind her.

Whatever the case, Ms. Swift is clearly upset about something, and she appears to be wiping away a tear at the beginning of the clip.

She"s certainly not angry about the rumors that Selena Gomez is hooking up with her brother, as SelGo lays her head in Taylor"s shoulder in an apparent attempt to console the Squad Leader.

In any event, we"re sure Taylor"s 70 bajillion fans thought the performance was flawless.

We guess when you reach that level of popularity, you"ve gotta criticize yourself, or no one will.

Taylor Swift: Bobbin" for New Hairstyle at the Grammys!

Taylor Swift turned heads on Monday night at the 2016 Grammy Awards…

… by doing something drastic to her own famous head!

The superstar solo artist showed up on the red carpet of this annual event with a bob style haircut.

As you can see below, she was also rocking a very revealing dress, but most online chatter since the event got underway in Los Angeles has been on Swift’s significantly shorter ‘do.

What do you think of the look?

Swift also opened the show with a rendition of “Out of the Woods,” while her Grammys night got off to an impressive start before the ceremony even officially began.

The blond beauty took home Best Pop Vocal Album for “1989” and Best Music Video for “Bad Blood.”

Not exactly any major surprises there, huh?

It’s music’s biggest night, so of course it’s going to belong to music’s biggest star.

Oh, yes, Kanye West. We sent there. And we stand by that statement.

Check out the photos above, compare them to some classic Taylor Swift photos below and sound off on the singer’s updated hairstyle…

Katy Perry: Skipping the Grammys Because of Taylor Swift?

At this point, it seems that the feud between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry will never be settled.

Both women have passed up multiple opportunities to bury the hatchet, and it seems they’ve now reached the point where they’ve ceased taking shots and are simply avoiding one another.

Last week, there were rumors that Taylor would be invited to Katy’s pre-Grammys party.

Sources said Katy had decided to get Taylor’s back in the wake of Kanye West’s misogynistic diss, and offer an olive branch as a show of feminine solidarity.

Now, however, it looks like Katy and Taylor are still at war, as not only will Taylor not be attending Katy’s party (which will likely be the year’s most star-studded), but Katy is skipping the Grammys, reportedly because she knows the night will be “all about Taylor.”

We imagine it would be tough to sit in the crowd and force a smile while your peers heap praise on your sworn enemy.

So Katy skipping the ceremony isn’t that surprising, but the fact that Taylor declined Katy’s invitation is a pretty clear indication that the music industry’s sweetheart doesn’t forgive as easily as you might think.

Looks like the bad blood between these two won’t be going away any time soon.

Chris Brown Goes on Twitter Rant Against the Grammys

Chris Brown is angry.

Fortunately, there’s no girlfriend anywhere near him against whom Brown can take out his frustrations.

Instead, the controversial artist has taken to Twitter to offer up his thoughts on the current music industry and his place within it.

Specifically, Brown is peeved that he’s only been nominated for a single 2016 Grammy Award.

“#GRAMMY? This is probably the main reason I love being free to create any kind of music I want. Too many people kiss ass and work less,” Brown opened his rant.

But he had a lot more to say than that on Friday night.

“If u turn on ya radio right now I promise within the hour you will hear Chris Brown on damn near half the songs or I’ve co-written,” he wrote.

“The awards used to mean something. Now it’s about likes, and memes.”

Brown earned a Grammy nomination for his work on the “Only” single alongside Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lil Wayne.

“I’m thankful to my fans,” he concluded, adding:

“I am able to be the best artist I can without having to conform to the ways of my peers. I also need my commission. A lot of y’all are favorites are my Children!”

Brown released the album Royalty (named after his daughter) in late 2015.

But while fatherhood has changed the star in some ways, he told Hot 97 recently that he wasn’t going to censor his music simply because he recently became a father:

“For me, with my daughter and most of the records that I make are more sexual – that’s how my daughter was made.”

That is literally true, we suppose.
