Barbara Evans on Being Banned From Jenelle"s Wedding: I"m Dead to Her!

Over the weekend, Jenelle Evans married David Eason in a ceremony in the couple’s backyard.

MTV camera crews were on hand, of course, but one important person in Jenelle’s life was noticeably absent.

Barbara Evans was not invited to her daughter’s wedding.

Many Teen Mom 2 fans believed the notoriously hard-hearted Jenelle would eventually soften and extend a last-minute invitation for her controversial mother.

But it didn’t happen, and Babs was not on hand to see her Jenelle marry for the second time.

The main reason for the enmity between mother and daughter is the ongoing custody battle for Jace, Jenelle’s eldest child.

Jenelle signed over primary custody of Jace shortly after he was born, and she’s been fighting to get him back for the past several years.

Barbara believes that Jenelle is still incapable of providing Jace with a stable home environment, and many TM2 fans – and, more importantly, the courts – agree.

Unfortunately for Babs, it seems standing her ground has done irreparable damage to her relationship with her daughter.

“I’m dead to her,” Barbara said in a recent interview with Radar Online.

“I texted her the morning of the wedding. I sent emojis of hearts, kisses, a frown and tears in my eyes. That’s all I have to say.”

Sometimes an emoji is worth a thousand words.

But in this case, the favorite mode of expression of Millennials everywhere proved insufficient.

Barbara has no delusions about why her daughter has cut ties.

“She said, ‘You’re not invited to the wedding because you won’t give back Jace,"” Babs said of her most recent conversation with her daughter.

“It’s not about her or me; it’s about Jace.”

Barbara says she was so distraught upon realizing Jenelle really wouldn’t allow her to attend the wedding that she left town:

“I’m very devastated that I wasn’t invited to the wedding,” Barbara told Radar.

“I am out of town. Out of sight out of mind. I can’t be around. I’ve been crying.”

“To do this to me it is heart-wrenching,” Evans added.

“If this is what che chooses – to alienate me out of her life – so be it.”

Barbara also revealed that while custody of Jace is the primary point of contention, she believes that Jenelle has been poisoned against by her new new husband.

“I think David planned it that way,” Evans said. “David has alienated me from Jenelle.”

Barbara went on to state that she believes the battle for custody of Jace will only get uglier from here.

But she added that she won’t be bullied into giving up:

“She’s coming back with a vengeance,” Evans said.

“I knew that from the day I walked out of court. But you know what? I will do anything it takes to make sure Jace is not in that house with David.

Sounds like the Battle of the Evanses is about to get even more brutal.

Barbara Evans: Divorce From Jenelle"s Father Was a NIGHTMARE!

Jenelle Evans may have been a demon teen, but we’re now learning that her childhood may have been a veritable hell.

Her parents Barbara and Robert divorced when Jenelle was just four years old, but reports obtained by Radar reveal that it was anything but amicable.

Robert filed for divorce in May 1996, claiming his wife made “his condition intolerable and life burdensome.” He also wanted custody of their three kids Jenelle, 4, Colin, 6 and Ashleigh, 7.

However, Barbara countered by filing papers requesting full custody, citing that Robert had walked out and that his time with the kids should be “limited or restrained completely” because of his “drinking problem.”

According to court documents, Barbara accused Robert of being an unfit parent due to the following:

• “A long-term impairment from resulting from drug, alcohol, or other substance abuse that interferes with the performance of parenting functions”


• “The absence or substantial impairment of emotional ties between the parent and child”


• “The abusive use of conflict by the parent which creates the danger of serious damage to the child’s psychological development”

Basically, she was saying that Jenelle’s dad was a drunk who had virtually no relationship with his kids but had been a dick enough to cause them mental trauma.

Babs told the courts she wanted to take the kids to counseling and for Robert to complete a program to address anger management and domestic violence issues.

Robert countered by claiming that SHE was the bad parent who caused psychological damage to the children… but wanted her to have custody if he could have every other holiday.

OY VEY.

We wish it ended there, but this back-and-forth in the courts continued for more than a year.

Barbara claimed Robert wouldn’t show up for his scheduled visits with the kids, which at one point caused so much emotional trauma to Jenelle’s sister Ashleigh that she pulled her hair out of her head.

Not a shock that screwed up parents = screwed up kids.

Jenelle’s been in trouble with the law at least 18 times and has had substance abuse issues of her own.

Earlier in the week, another Teen Mom opened up about her troubled early family life. Farrah Abraham broke down to Dr. Drew about how her parents abused her when she was a child.

It almost makes you feel sorry for them – except that they’re the parents now, and need to get their sh*t together before their kids head down the same path.

Nathan Griffith: Going to Trial for Stealing Jenelle"s Car??

Last week we revealed that Nathan Griffith was arrested on larceny charges that had been filed against him by baby mama and Teen Mom 2 co-star Jenelle Evans.

Jenelle accused Nathan of stealing her car and $ 1,000 worth of belongings that were in it, including a stroller and a car seat.

Nathan turned himself in, appeared before the magistrate and then was released on the promise that he would attend all his court dates.

So what’s next?

Well, we know that Nathan’s hearing is scheduled for March 7, during which three things could happen, according to his attorney Megan Millikin.

“It’s just the first court date in the criminal case,” she told Radar Online. “There are only three results that could come of it. It’s dismissed by the state, it’s ‘continued’ to another future court date, or we have a trial.”

However, Millikin says she is doubtful that the case will go to trial.

“The first two [possibilities] are much more likely than the latter,” she said. “It’s just like a regular criminal court date. There will likely be hundreds of others on the docket and the State will decide if and how it wants to proceed in that matter.”

Of course, representing the defendant, she will naturally tell the press she anticipates the most favorable outcome for her client – which would be a dismissal.

However, if Nathan is found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, he could face up to 45 days in jail.

It wouldn’t be the first time he’s been behind bars. In 2014 the troubled reality show star was sentenced to 30 days in jail following a DUI.

Nathan and Jenelle share a son, Kaiser, 1, and we hope for his sake that his parents can bury the drama so he can grow up in a somewhat peaceful home. 

But it’s Jenelle and Nathan we’re talking about, so we’re not holding our breath.
