Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt: Headed to Trial Over Custody?!
The long, ugly, messy custody battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie isn’t ending any time soon, folks.
The two have been arguing over Brad’s unpaid child support, and it looks like they’ve given up on resolving this without a judge.
The exes formerly known as Brangelina are going to have a custody trial.
It’s been two years since this once-famously in love couple split.
Apparently, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt haven’t been able to settle custody issues themselves in all of that time.
TMZ reports that these bitter exes are going to have a custody trial.
Brad and Angelina have filed documents with an L.A. Superior Court Judge.
They will have until June of 2019 to work out a custody arrangement for their shared children.
And they will have the help of a private judge.
According to TMZ, the custody trial is scheduled to begin nearly a month from now, on December 4.
Angelina and Brad haven’t been able to reconcile their different views of how custody should be arranged.
It seems doubtful that a few more weeks will give them time to see eye-to-eye.
See, Angelina is seeking sole physical custody of their six children.
In the mean time, Brad wants a fifty-fifty split — joint custody.
Apparently the custody trial itself is expected to last anywhere from two to three weeks.
But that is only part of the process.
The judge will have to pour over the evidence and arguments presented at trial and reach a verdict regarding custody.
It also falls to this judge to handle the couple’s property settlement.
Angelina and Brad did not have a prenup.
Given that they are both intensely wealthy and extremely bitter towards each other, this is one of the worst situations for not having a prenup.
Brad has been seriously bitter and complained that Angelina has denied him access to his own children.
Recently, the court forced Angelina to allow Brad some time with the children.
She was also required to give him their phone numbers and allow them to communicate with him.
If Brad gets his way in court, he’ll get them with him half of the time, and there will be little to nothing that Angelina can do about it.
If Angelina gets her way, it’s unlikely that she’ll be forced to hand over access to the six children.
If you recall the circumstances of their divorce in the first place, it’s no mystery why Angelina is so reluctant to expose her children to Brad.
It was only two years ago that something happened on the couple’s private plane.
Whatever the specifics of the reported altercation between Brad and the couple’s son, Maddox, it led Angelina to file for divorce the next day.
She also reported Brad PItt to the FBi — for child abuse.
Maddox is old enough that this custody ruling is unlikely to impact him.
But it seems likely that, after whatever she witnessed, Angelina is afraid that history will repeat itself. She can’t risk it.
But she may have no choice, depending upon what this judge decides.
Courts tend to err on the side of giving parents access to their children, out of a belief that this is ultimately best for the child.
If Brad convinces the court that he’s probably not a danger to their children, Angelina will be hard pressed to get anything more than joint custody.
Whatever happens, we hope that the court makes the right decision for the safety and well-being of the children.
That, in the end, is all that matters.

Thomas Ravenel to Stand Trial for Sexual Assault
Thomas Ravenel will have to answer the charge that he sexually assaulted his nanny in 2015.
According to South Carolina news affiliate WCSC, a judge named Stephen Harris determined at a hearing on Monday that the case against Ravenel will take a step toward trial, dealing a pretty significant legal blow to the Southern Charm star.
Ravenel was arrested in September and charged with second-degree assault and battery after the victim claimed he assaulted her inside of his Charleston home about three years ago.
Tdoay’s preliminary hearing (which Ravenel did NOT attend) included graphic testimony from a Charleston police detective.
He stated that photos show scratches on the unnamed victim, which prompted the aforementioned charges to be filed.
On cross examination, Ravenel’s lawyer said there were problems unlocking the accuser’s cell phone.
He also told Judge Harris that this is a case of “he said, she said,” although the victim’s wounds appear to contract that claim.
While Ravenel’s young daughter’s slept in the room next door, the nanny told investigators that Ravenel took off his clothes and put the her hand on his private parts.
He is then accused grabbing her private parts.
“While inside the location, the defendant undressed and made sexual advances on the victim,” according to an affidavit submitted to the court.
It continues:
“The defendant grabbed the victim’s hand and placed it on his penis before attempting to [remove] the victim’s clothing.
“While attempting to remove the victim’s clothing, the victim’s underwire bra cut into her skin and her shirt wrapped around her neck, which caused the victim to struggle to breathe.”
The woman then “crouched down to the ground to try and prevent further assault” before Ravenel allegedly “put his penis in her face,” per to this same document.
At one point, the affadavit goes on, Ravenel “pulled down the victim’s pants and said ‘Show me your pussy."”
Ravenel is a former South Carolina state treasurer and anchored Southern Charm on Bravo for several seasons.
But he dropped out of the series shortly after news of this assault (and another attempted rape) went public.
“In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back,” Ravenel explained at the time of his departure, playing the victim.
The accuser, identified only as Dawn, appeared at Ravenel’s bond hearing last month and said she thinks the crime extends beyond simple assault and battery.
She said at that time that Ravenel’s kids and also hers were “exposed to constant alcohol and drugs.”
Investigators say they have “appropriately time-stamped” photos of all of these injuries to corroborate Dawn’s story.
They also have records of her employment that confirm her time line of events.
Ravenel resigned as state treasurer in 2007 after pleading guilty to a cocaine possession charge.
He has two children with ex Kathryn Dennis: daughter Kensie, 4; and son Saint, 2.
Dennis filed for a modification of custody and visitation after his arrest — we don’t blame her.

The Flash Season 4 Episode 10 Recap: The Trial of The Flash
Did Barry Allen manage to find a way to save himself from a lengthy stint in prison?
That was the big question on The Flash Season 4 Episode 10, and things did not look good for him when the episode kicked off. Cecile took a leave of absence from the DA’s office.
Anton Slater was on hand to take Barry down in the courtroom. Let’s just say things were not looking good after a knife was entered into evidence. The same knife someone bought Barry and Iris for their wedding.
This gave Anton the ultimate leverage because he essentially said nothing was sacred to Barry, and it helped turn the jurors against the speedster. Barry had a severe lack of defense.
It was painful to watch because we know that DeVoe and his sidekick cooked up the plan because DeVoe needed the new body to become The Thinker.
Given that everyone in the courtroom was turning against Barry, the team needed to act fast. Ralph managed to get pictures of Marlize kissing The Thinker, and they were presented to the court.
But Marlize knew how to weather the storm and said that her husband sent her to the man because he could fulfill needs that DeVoe could not. It was all very believable, and it proved something bigger was needed to get Barry out of the clutches of the law.
Cecil admitted that the only for Barry to be set free was for him to confirm the truth, but Barry was against the idea of it. He felt like nobody would take him seriously if they knew who he was.
That’s when Iris decided to take it upon herself to tell the world the truth, but Barry stopped her at the last second and used a new speed trick to have a full blown conversation with her in the courtroom.
He did not want to put his loved ones in any danger and felt like everyone would be on the run and look over their shoulders. It would make more sense for Barry to let the iron fist of justice have its way.
In the end, Barry was found guilty of murder and was shocked to find out that he would be spending the rest of his life in Iron Heights without parole. This was met with floods of tears from Iris.
Barry argued with DeVoe before sentencing, and DeVoe said that there was no way Barry and his group could have won, but Barry said that he would find a way to save himself and his friends.
In a poignant turn, Barry was sent to the same cell his father was in all those years ago.
What did you think of the episode?
Sound off below!
The Flash continues Tuesdays on The CW!
