David Mueller: Polygraph Me! I Never Grab-Assed Taylor Swift!
David Mueller has lost twice to Taylor Swift in court over the past few days.
But the DJ is refusing to go down without a public fight.
Last Friday, a judge tossed out Mueller’s $ 3 million lawsuit against the singer, in which he tried to argue that Swift defamed him and was responsible for his firing because she alleged he grabbed her butt back in 2013.
Following a concert in Denver that year, Muller posed backstage for a picture with the superstar.
She claims that he raised her skirt and grabbed her bare butt while standing along her side, a charge that eventually got Mueller axed from his gig as a local radio host.
Not only did Mueller unsuccessfully sue Swift for making this allegation, he found himself on the receiving end of a counter-suit.
After four hours of deliberation on Monday, an eight-member jury unanimously decided Mueller did assault and batter Swift four years ago during this meet-and-greet.
He owes the pop star $ 1 as a result.
More importantly, though, he was held accountable for his inappropriate actions, a verdict Swift hopes will have a far-reaching effect going forward.
“My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard,” the global icon said in a statement, adding:
“Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.”
How admirable, right?
Yes, Mueller may even agree.
Yet he continues to insist he did nothing wrong.
Speaking to Good Morning America on Tuesday for the first time since he was found guilty, the DJ maintained his innocence.
“I didn’t do what they say I did. I didn’t do it,” Mueller said. “I never grabbed her. I never had my hand under her skirt and I can pass a polygraph.”
A polygraph is a lie detector test, but it has never been proven to be 100% accurate. Or anything close to 100% accurate, hence why its results are not permitted as evidence in a court of law.
Regarding the notorious photograph of himself, his girlfriend and Swift, Mueller simply says:
“That wasn’t ready. I wasn’t invited to be in the photo. So it was – I just moved into the shot the best I could.”
Mueller testified that he may have touched Swift’s ribs with his knuckles during their encounter, saying on the stand:
“Because I was a larger person, I thought it would be a good idea if I closed my hand, so I didn’t poke Taylor with my fingers.”
But Swift stood strong against this defense. She made herself as clear as possible during her testimony:
“He did not touch my rib. He did not touch my arm. He did not touch my hand. He grabbed my bare ass.”
Despite his multimillion dollar lawsuit against Swift, Mueller says he was never after money.
He just wants a chance to work again after being let go by radio station KYGO.
“I asked for something in writing which stated that there was a misunderstanding and I can take that and possibly convince someone at a radio station to hire me,” he explained to GMA.
Alas, we doubt he’ll be receiving any note of this nature.
Taylor Swift Wins Again! Singer Awarded $1 in David Mueller Groping Case

A few days ago, a judge dismissed a lawsuit filed against the singer by the aforementioned DJ, who claimed that Swift’s accusation of sexual misconduct against him cost Mueller his job in 2013.
Now, the singer has been declared victorious in her countersuit against David Mueller.
As previously reported, the incident at the center of both these lawsuits took place after a Swift concert about four years ago in Denver.
During a meet and greet with the artist, Mueller posed for a picture with Swift, smiling on her left side while allegedly placing his hand on her bare backside.
This is what Swift said at the time, at least, prompting her bodyguard to escort Swift out of the arena and for the DJ to get fired from his job at KYGO radio station after word of the harassment went viral.
In response, Mueller sued Swift for $ 3 million, arguing she defamed his character and cost him his job.
In response to that lawsuit, however, Swift sued Mueller, refusing to back down and only asking for $ 1 to prove she was not making these allegations as any kind of money grab.
On Monday afternoon, a Denver jury sided with Swift and determined Mueller had to pay his symbolic $ 1 to the pop star.
Said Swift in a statement after the verdict was read:
“I want to thank Judge William J. Martinez and the jury for their careful consideration, my attorneys Doug Baldridge, Danielle Foley, Jay Schaudies and Katie Wright for fighting for me and anyone who feels silenced by a sexual assault, and especially anyone who offered their support throughout this four-year ordeal and two-year long trial process.”
She added:
“I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this.
“My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard.
“Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.”
Both Mueller and Swift took the stand during this six-day trial.
Mueller contended he may have made contact with Swift’s ribcage or ribs during their brief encounter… but insisted he never touched her inappropriately.
Taylor, though, stood strong in the case of cross examination and argued otherwise.
“He stayed latched onto my bare ass cheek as I lurched away from him,” Swift told the jury. “It was a definite grab. A very long grab.”
Swift rolled her eyes, shook her head and fought back tears during Mueller’s lawyer’s closing argument, in which he claimed Swift did not appear to be in distress during the photo.
But the victim-shaming did not work.
In the end, Swift proved that she’s a winner on the charts and also in the courtroom.
Now maybe she can back into the studio and finish her latest album!

Taylor Swift is sticking to her guns and is not letting David Mueller get away with apparently grabbing her ass.
In 2013, Mueller allegedly reached under Taylor’s skirt and grabbed her ass backstage at her Denver concert during a photo opportunity.
The bizarre thing about all of this was that Mueller’s girlfriend was part of the same photo, and Taylor’s security was not impressed when they heard what went down.
Mueller said he was thrown out of the venue and later fired from his radio job in the aftermath of it. Losing a $ 120,000 a year job is not something anyone wants to go through.
It could be pretty catastrophic financially.
In Mueller’s defense, he claimed that he later bumped into a co-worker, who was talking about grabbing Taylor’s butt. Was it a case of mistaken identity?
We have no idea.
Anyway.
Last year, Mueller announced that he was suing Swift because he was not the notorious ass grabber he was made out to be by everyone.
He was pissed that this had cost him his job and his reputation, and felt like he was unfairly treated. Now, it would be horrible if it did all turn out to be a case of mistaken identity, because, well, his career is in tatters due to this incident.
However, Taylor got wind of the lawsuit and decided to countersue, and according to documents, she was definite Mueller was the perpetrator.
In legal documents acquired by Billboard, Taylor said she felt “violated” at the sickening act.
Taylor tried to get the pictures out of the public eye, but a judge dismissed all of this, leaving the picture out there on the internet.
Around that time, details of Taylor’s deposition were released.
“Right as the moment came for us to pose for the photo, he took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek and no matter how much I scooted over it was still there,” Swift said in the deposition, adding: “It was completely intentional, I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life.”
Taylor also claimed via the documents that the damages should be assessed by a judge and that she would be donating the proceeds to women’s charities.
Now, Taylor has achieved a small victory in the case with the judge ruling that the 1-year statute of limitations had long since passed when Mueller filed it in 2016.
The rest of Mueller’s lawsuit, however, will move forward against Taylor.
