Cheyenne Floyd and Cory Wharton: Already Fired from Teen Mom OG?!

It’s been a pretty crazy eventful for Teen Mom OG, huh?

There’s been so many changes to the cast, it’s a little hard to keep up with who’s actually going to be on the show in the new season.

We do know that Farrah Abraham has been fired — that happened last season, and everyone seems to be pretty happy that she’s gone.

We also know that Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer were fired after Maci Bookout threatened to quit if MTV kept filming them.

Last month, the news broke that Bristol Palin would be joining the cast, and she’s since confirmed it.

MTV confirmed it as well, releasing a sneak peek for the upcoming season that focused on her family.

So that means we’ve got the original cast of Maci, Amber Portwood, and Catelynn Lowell, minus Farrah, plus Bristol.

But what about Cheyenne Floyd?

Back in June, several outlets reported that she’d be replacing Farrah as the fourth mom on the show.

Farrah publicly responded to the news, as did David Eason after some offensive old tweets of Cheyenne’s resurfaced, but in all this time, MTV has never confirmed or denied anything.

Which is weird, since Bristol’s already got her own teaser, you know?

So what happened?

Did MTV quietly cut ties with Cheyenne after the backlash from her tweets? Did they decide Bristol was a big enough addition for now?

We’re not sure, but according to a new report from Radar Online, Cheyenne and her ex, Cory Wharton, are pretty upset with the way things have been happening.

A source explains that after Bristol’s big reveal, “Cory believes MTV is shutting out their family.”

And that’s fair — MTV debuted the Palins during the VMAs on Monday night, but there hasn’t been one single peep about Cheyenne and Cory.

Still, this source claims that they’re definitely still on the show, and that they’re even scheduled to do some press photos next Monday.

But the word is that the network is still going to wait a bit before officially announcing yet another new addition to Teen Mom OG.

Most likely, we won’t hear or see anything about Cheyenne until the middle of next month.

Honestly, it seems kind of weird that MTV would wait that long for even just a statement.

The season premiere is set for October 1st, so waiting until mid-September to name a new cast member is a little ridiculous.

Of course, there’s a chance that network executives are still trying to decide if she’ll be a good fit for the show, even this close to the premiere.

Back in June, we heard that Cheyenne and Cory were “test shooting,” and that they hadn’t signed a contract before filming.

At that point, they hadn’t been paid anything either, because producers wanted to be sure she could fill Farrah’s dumb, dramatic shoes before making anything official.

We haven’t heard anything else about their contract since then, but cast members have revealed that MTV isn’t afraid to make edits to the episodes, even soon before the episodes air.

Could Cheyenne be edited out completely if she doesn’t bring the drama?

Is that why there still hasn’t been an announcement?

Guess we have to wait a few more weeks to see!

Cory Wharton and Cheyenne Floyd Drop Baby Bombshell: We Procreated! Together!

Cory Wharton and Cheyenne Floyd just gifted their fans with a Christmas surprise:

The former once stuffed the stocking of the latter! In a sexual sense! If you know what we mean!

Not really? Okay, allow us to explain…

… the former MTV stars are parents to a nine-month old girl named Ryder!

Bet you didn’t see that news coming, did you?

Competitors on The Challenge: Rivals III, Wharton and Floyd apparently had unprotected sex at some point in the last year, unbeknownst to pretty much anyone who watched them on television.

But the 26-year old fitness coach shared the sweet family photo above on Saturday and included with it a sentiment caption that reads as follows:

“I’ve been off of social media for a while now… for many reasons.

“Most importantly God has given me the biggest blessing in my life, my daughter Ryder K Wharton.”

And, in case anyone thought he just hit it and then quit it with Cheyenne, Cory added:

“I want to say thank you Cheyenne for being such an amazing mother. I look forward to co-parenting with you and giving Ryder all the love in the world/

“I can’t wait to watch you grow up and be there for you every step of the way, love you Moochie!!!”

Floyd, who originally appeared on MTV’s Are You the One? Season 3, has not been shy about documenting her pregnancy and photos of her daughter on social media.

She announced that she was expecting on her 24th birthday and she gave birth in April.

However, Floyd always remained mum on the identity of the father… until now.

Sharing the same photo as Wharton, she wrote the following over the weekend:

“Cory is nothing short of an amazing father. We are so blessed to be raising mooch as co parents together and I couldn’t have asked for a better father for my princess.

“Our daughter is the best of both of us.”

Each quasi star stops short of saying the pair are in a relationship, but whatever. That’s none of our business.

It sure sounds like they are dedicated to raising their child in a healthy environment.

Wharton further addressed fans in an Instagram Live session on Saturday, holding little Ryder as she watched her favorite show, Baby Einstein.

Said The Real World alum:

“Thank you guys for being respectful and sending positive vibes our way. We appreciate it.

“I know you guys have a ton of questions. I’ll be answering all the questions, probably in a YouTube video. There’s a lot to talk about.”

Following his stint on Rivals III, Wharton has made appearances on subsequent seasons Invasion, Dirty 30, and Champs Vs. Stars.

He’s also set to be a player on Vendettas, which premieres on January 2.

Lea Michele Posts Tribute to Cory Monteith, Four Years Later

Cory Monteith’s death in a Vancouver hotel room will never not be hard. He wasn’t just an actor with a beautiful voice and a winning smile. He was also a person with people who loved him, and their hearts still ache with how much they miss him.

As she has since the first anniversary of Cory Monteith’s passing, Lea Michele honored his memory on social media with a touching photo tribute.

Actually, with two. …

We first saw Cory Monteith in a no-lines role on Stargate Atlantis and later in a minor speaking role on Stargate SG-1, but he will always be known for his breakout role on Glee.

And as hard as the death of any celebrity can be, the very sudden passing of a young actor on a show that draws millions and millions of teenage and tween fans had a massive emotional impact that rocked the Glee fandom and beyond.

It shocked the world.

But obviously, no one felt Cory’s tragic death more acutely than Lea Michele.

That the Scream Queens star continues to post tributes to him on the anniversaries of his death as well as his posthumous birthdays speaks to how close their bond was.

And to how inseparable the two are in the minds of their fans.

This year, four years after Cory Monteith’s tragic passing, Lea Michele shared this photo on Instagram:

On Instagram, her heartfelt caption is short and sweet.

“4 years and it still feels like yesterday.. love you more C.”

On Twitter, she shared a version of the photo with way more glare, and included the words:

“Hard to believe it’s been 4 years… We miss you C… love you more.”

After both lines, she included a heart emoji.

A lot of people, celebrities and otherwise, repost photos and words.

Lea Michele figured that the honoring Cory warranted some originality and a touch of extra effort.

We’re inclined to agree.

Cory Monteith had champagne and heroin in his system when he died.

The medical examiner described the cause of death as “mixed drug toxicity.”

Cory’d had a history of drug use but also a history of periods of sobriety.

He’d been to rehab earlier in 2013 before his death.

It’s been speculated that, though long-time users can develop increasingly higher tolerances for familiar drugs, he may have overdosed on a quantity of heroin that he’d previously believed to be safe.

Tolerance to drugs doesn’t remain fixed, and if he’d recently been sober for an extended period, his body might have been less prepared for a dose of that quantity.

There’s no upside to that story, which has now become familiar to a frightening number of people thanks to the opioid epidemic.

But Cory Monteith should be remembered for his talent, his charm.

And, of course, for the way that his work — on Glee and elsewhere — touched his fans and made him so very memorable.

Lea Michele will never forget him for precisely who he was.

And she won’t let fans forget, either.

Cory Booker Asks Out Mindy Kaling!!!!!

Major political news has taken the nation by storm.

The Republican Party was forced to pull the plug on the American Health Care Act Friday after lacking enough votes to clear the House floor, forcing Paul Ryan and Donald Trump to admit that Obamacare will remain the law of the land.

What? Huh? No.

Well… yes. That happened. But it’s not the major political story we’re tracking here at The Hollywood Gossip.

In a far more important breaking development, United States Senator Cory Booker has asked comedic actress Mindy Kaling out on a date!

It all started when the New Jersey native playfully chided Kaling’s alter ego – Dr. Mindy Lahiri on Hulu’s The Mindy Project – for poking fun at his hometown of Newark on her series.

“I guess anything to get out of Newark, huh?” the character joked in a recent episode about Booker’s attendance at a party.

In response, the outspoken and good-humored politician quoted the scene on Twitter and wrote “Ouch!”

He also linked to a Vogue article that referenced an infusion of new restaurants in the area that offer “a fusion of American comfort food with an Indian twist.”

As you can see below, Booker wasn’t too angry over the snub, writing that he still loves Kaling.

book tweet

Kaling, who portrays an obstetrician on the sitcom and who rose to fame on The Office, took note of Booker’s flirtation and responded as follows:

“Senator, if Mindy Lahiri shades it, it means we know it’s cool. Thanks for the [love]. It’s mutual!”

From there, BOOKER ASKED KALING OUT ON A DATE!

“You are making my day!” gushed the 47-year old single senator, adding:

“Thanks for the clarification. And If the [love] is really mutual… Come have dinner with me in Newark?”

Clearly smitten, Kaling said yes, saying she had to go find the “train schedule” so she could make her way from New York City to New Jersey.

Adding to the incredibleness of this entire exchange, the official Twitter account for the train that takes folks from The Big Apple to its neighboring state (known as the PATH train) proceeded to get involved:

more tweiiters

“PATH train is awesome when you are Jersey bound,” Booker Tweeted to Kaling. “But you are @Lyft worthy! I will send one to you for the door to door.”

There’s nothing about this story that isn’t completely awesome and amazing.

Tragically, we’re left hanging at the moment because Kaling has not responded to Booker’s Lyft offer.

But she has to accept, right?

Booker is considered a strong candidate to run for President in 2020.

And with Donald Trump’s approval ratings at historically low levels, you would think the Democratic nominee ought to have a real shot at winning the White House in a few years.

This means there’s a chance that Mindy Kaling could be First Lady.

A good chance? Probably not.

But there really is a chance.

And that’s a lot more than we could have said about the situation just a few hours ago.

Cory Wells Dies; Three Dog Night Singer Was 74

Cory Wells – the rock vocalist best known for his work with ’60s and ’70s group Three Dog Night – has passed away at the age of 74.

Sources say Wells “died unexpectedly” at his home in Dunkirk, NY. No cause of death was given.

Cory Wells

Wells and Three Dog Night experienced success early on with such hits as “One,” “Mama Told Me Not to Come,” “Joy to the World (Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog)” and “Black and White.”

Wells collaborated with and helped launch the careers of such legendary songwriters as Harry Nilsson and Randy Newman.

“It is with deep sadness and disbelief that I must report the passing of Cory Wells, my beloved band mate for over 45 years,” bandmate Danny Hutton wrote in a press release.

“Cory was an incredible singer – a great performer, he could sing anything. Cory was like a brother in so many ways. We had been together since 1965 and I am in shock at this sudden loss.”‘

After decades of touring and recording Wells was forced to part ways with the band due to chronic back pain in September.

Wells is survived by Mary, his wife of 50 years, his daughters Coryann and Dawn Marie, and five grandchildren.
