XXXTentacion: Four Suspects Indicted for Murder

It’s hard to believe that it’s been more than a month since XXXTentacion was shot dead in Miami.

Earlier this month, police found one of XXXTentacion’s killers. Though police do not yet have all of the suspects in custody, prosecutors are moving forward.

They have already issued indictments. Let’s take a look at the details.

One of the alleged shooters was Michael Boatright, who was arrested earlier this month.

Trayvon Newsome is believed by police to have been the toher trigger man. Newsome is currently wanted by police.

Two other suspects are Dedrick Williams, who is in custody, and Robert Allen, for whom police are still searching.

TMZ reports that all four suspects in XXXTentacion’s murder were indicted by a grand jury

On top of the obvious murder charge, all four men are also charged with armed robbery using a firearm.

XXXTentacion 4 Alleged Killer Indicted

According tot he Associated Press, Dedrick Williams was spotted on surveillance cameras and identified.

Though fearful of being labeled a snitch in prison for speaking to police, he did tell investigators that he did not know in advance that XXXTentacion would be robbed.

It was apparently Boatright and Newsome who carried out the actual robbery, or so investigators have been told.

Of course, felony murder rules mean that co-conspirators in crimes that result in murder are all indicted for murder, regardless of which individual did the killing.

XXXTentacion had been looking at motorcycles just before he was shot to death in an apparent armed robbery.

The rapper was only 20 years old, and had some very passionate young fans.

He also apparently acted as something of a mentor to younger people in the business.

14-year-old Danielle Bregoli, who launched her record-breaking music career after insulting Dr. Phil on television, felt a very close bond to XXXTentacion.

Their last conversation, just days before his death, was an argument in which she told him that she never wanted to speak with him again.

Danielle will always regret her final words to him, she says.

XXXTentacion was also infamous for an alleged beating of a gay man, and for being accused of horribly abusing his girlfriend Geneva Ayala to the point that she had to have reconstructive surgery on her face due to damage to her skull.

The shocking descriptions of what is said to have done to her during their relationship amount to torture.

Unfortunately, because of this, his ex is reviled by some of his more ardent fans.

Though his abused girlfriend just wants him to rest in peace, some fans objected to her presence at a vigil for him, and kicked her out.

Afterwards, they burned what she had left in his memory.

XXXTentacion continues to be mourned by many of his fans. Some of them are so young that this he is the first celebrity musician whom they’ve lost.

Some say that a video made shortly before the rapper’s passing predicted his own death.

In fact, some sources even say that XXXTentacion talked about wanting to die young like some of the great rappers of the ’90s.

Hopefully, the people who were in his life will get a sense of closure once his murder trial draws to a close.

For now, it is just beginning.

The Voice Recap: Which Four Contestants Got Eliminated?

Eight became four on the latest episode of The Voice as the NBC juggernaut whittled down the contestants to make way for next week’s grand finale.

But were the right people sent home? It’s not like the coaches have final say on who makes it to the finale. There are a variety of metrics that come into play, and one of them is iTunes sales.

As always, there was a lot of beating around the bush before we got to the final results. Kane Brown showed up as a guest act and performed a surprisingly solid song, “Heaven.”

The true showstopper, however, was Blake Shelton who performed “I Lived It.”

There’s no denying that Blake is a great performer. When he’s up on the stage, it’s like all of the other country crooners aspire to be just like him. He’s a tough act to follow.

When we got to the actual result, Spensha Baker, Brynn Cartelli, and Kyla Jake were granted a place in the finale, but Rayshun LaMarr and Jackie Foster were immediately sent packing.

The middle three consisted of Pryor Baird, Kaleb Lee, and Britton Buchanan, who had to sing for one last chance to return to the stage on Monday night.

Let’s break down the three performances.

Pryor Baird (Team Blake) – “Soulshine”

Pryor continued doing what he does best: Oozing confidence and proving that he’s a force to be reckoned with. His rendition of this Allman Brothers classic was solid if a little unspectacular.

Kaleb Lee (Team Kelly) – “Simple Man”

Kaleb continued to be a bit all over the place. His performances have never been anything to write home about and his latest one seems like something he could be sent home over.

Britton Buchanan (Team Alicia) – “Dancing On My Own”

Okay, so here’s the thing: The moment it emerged there was a sing-off, and Pryor was involved, I thought Pryor had it in the bag, but Britton came, he conquered and left me wanting a whole lot more of those wonderful vocals.

When it got down to it, Britton was saved, and Pryor and Kaleb were sent packing. Like, it’s great Britton got the chance, but I can’t help shake the feeling one of the other three should have gone home.

Poor Pryor.

What do you think of these results?

Who do you want to win?

The Bachelorette Spoilers: Becca Kufrin Final Four REVEALED!

Filming for Becca Kufrin’s journey slash season is still underway, but The Bachelorette spoilers reveal who makes her elusive final four.

Whose hometowns will the brunette beauty visit?

In one month’s time, Kufrin will take the reins of the popular reality franchise and begin handing our roses in her quest for love.

If you know anything about the ABC show, then you’re well aware that The Bachelorette spoilers leak like a sieve all spring. Every year.

Ever since Becca was named The Bachelorette – the night after she was eliminated from The Bachelor – speculation has run wild.

And, to the surprise of no one, Reality Steve (a.k.a. the Magic Eight Ball of The Bachelorette spoilers) has been on top of this like …

… well, like Arie on Lauren B. Yeah. Too soon. Sorry.

Anyway, as the promotional photo above says, let’s do the damn thing! As of this report, Becca has already narrowed down the competition.

Big time. Only four lucky fellas remain in the hunt.

Obviously, the content you are about to read contains Bachelorette spoilers, so proceed at your own risk, if that didn’t go without saying.

According to Steve, who previously revealed Becca Kufrin’s final six, she followed her predecessor’s lead in the episode before hometowns.

With six men left, she embarked on three one-on-one dates and one three-on-one group date, handing out roses at the end of each.

The final four who received them?!

1. Jason Tartick. A 29-year-old who currently lives in Seattle, Jason is a native of Buffalo, New York, which is where his date will be filmed.

According to Steve the soothsayer, Jason will take Becca to – where else – the Anchor Bar, home of the ORIGINAL buffalo wings.

Romantic as s–t.

Beyond that, they’ll presumably engage in such activities as turning up the thermostat, complaining about football, and eating.

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with slathering various deep-fried meats with hot sauce and cheese as a local pastime. Don’t hate.

2. Blake Horstmann. Currently living in big city Denver, the 28-year-old Blake will take the beautiful Minnesotan to his Colorado hometown.

A sales rep for Coors, he has a degree in marketing and communications, and already made quite a debut by showing up with a horse.

He’s horsing around, but only literally.

3. Garrett Yrigoyen. The town of Manteca, Calif., where his parents live, will be the site of Garrett’s hometown date with Becca.

Mr. Yrigoyen previously played baseball for the University of Nevada, and currently works as a surgical technology consultant.

Either he or a man with his name in the same city was engaged in 2015, so there’s that. Keep your eye on this guy next month.

It’s unclear if there will be outdoor activities, or whether the above image is just the obligatory Tinder profile fish pic staple.

4. Colton Underwood. Perhaps the most interesting and controversial of Becca’s final four, Underwood is a 26-year-old NFL free agent.

Originally from Aurora, Colo., his hometown date will be filmed in the Rocky Mountain State, not too far from Blake’s. Awkward.

Colton, who is reportedly the subject of some drama this season, previous dated Olympic gold medalist gymnast Aly Raisman.

There’s also talk of Underwood trying to holler at Tia Booth from Arie’s season of The Bachelor on Instagram, so there’s that.

Players …

Take a look at the rest of the guys vying for her above and see what you think. There are some interesting characters for sure.

Spoilers aside, do you think Becca picked a good final four? Will she make it to the altar? What epic twists await this season?

All we can do is stay tuned.

Tom Cruise: I Haven"t Seen Suri in FOUR YEARS!

Tom Cruise doesn’t garner many headlines for his movie work these days, but his personal life?

Well, that’s a different story entirely…

As his box-office success declines, Tom’s private life seems to only get more and more bizarre.

At the center of the public’s continued fascination with Tom is his faith in Scientology and his relationship (or lack thereof) with his youngest daughter.

Suri Cruise is 11 years old these days, and there are reports that she hasn’t seen her dad in over four years.

According to In Touch the last time the father and daughter were spotted together was in September of 2013.

Since then, the tabloid alleges, Tom and Suri have communicated only by phone.

And there have been long periods of time during which they had no communication at all.

There was a talk of a reunion in June of last year, when it was revealed that Tom and Suri would both be in LA for several weeks, and were even scheduled to be in the same neighborhood on Father’s Day.

Sadly, they never came face-to-face.

“Tom could have easily made the trip to see Suri. It only takes about 30 minutes without traffic,” a source said at the time.

“It would’ve only added a few hours to his busy schedule.”

The problem, it seems, is that Tom feels he must choose between his faith and his family.

Those who know him best say Cruise is devoted to Scientology above all else.

It seems Scientologist authorities have declared Katie a “suppressive person,” meaning that Tom is to avoid contact with her at all costs, lest she undermine his religious convictions.

The decree was made shortly after Cruise and Holmes decided to divorce, allegedly because she was growing increasingly uncomfortable with his beliefs.

Sadly, Tom’s relationship with his daughter has become collateral damage, as he’s cut ties with the girl in order to more effectively

“Suri hasn’t been labeled a ‘supressive person,’ but Katie has,” an insider tells In Touch.

“And her closeness to her daughter likely makes seeing both off-limits to Tom.”

If there’s any silver lining to be found in this messy situation, it’s that Tom hasn’t been a part of Suri’s life in so long that the girl is no pained by his absence:

“Suri has stopped missing him,” says the source.

“Katie doesn’t want to bring up his name and have Suri start missing him all over again.”

Yes, ironically, it seems Cruise’s former family has declared the actor a suppressive person.

“Katie is more adamant than ever about not talking about him, publicly or privately,” says the source.

“With Tom missing from Suri’s life for so long, Katie believes her daughter only has distant memories of him,” the insider adds.

“At this point, Katie doesn’t want to bring up his name and have Suri start longing to see Tom all over again. It would be too painful for both of them.”

Sadly, the decision to completely cut Tom out of her daughter’s life is one that Katie likely won’t regret.

The Four Recap: And the Winner Is...

It was the end of the line for three of the competitors on The Four during Thursday night’s freshman finale.

Host Fergie and panelists Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor were all part of the show’s finale, but Charlie Walk was nowhere in sight in the midst of sexual harassment allegations.

Evvie McKinney, Zhavia, Candice Boyd and Vincint Cannady were the final four vying for a record contract and the title of iHeartRadio’s On the Verge artists.

Simply put, it is one of the better prizes in the world of singing competitions, and one that should give the lucky victor some staying power.

The first round of the finale found each of The Four performing and the audience voting for their favorite. That then allowed the winner of the round to choose who they went up against.

Boyd – “Don’t Speak” by No Doubt

Boyd has gone from strength to strength throughout her time in the competition. Her performance was her best one yet.

McKinney – “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner

McKinney turned in a phenomenal performance that got everyone talking. The judges, the audience, and even Fergie seemed in awe of her talent.

“That performance was fearless,” Combs said while Trainor added, “That was my favorite performance on this stage throughout the entire season.”

Cannady – “Creep” by Radiohead

Cannady took a considerable risk performing this number, but he delivered in winning fashion. Everything about it was polished, and it proved the talent on this show is better than the others.

Zhavia – “One Dance” by Drake

This was one was quite a shocker. Zhavia has proven time and time again that she’s a force to be reckoned with. However, this was performance was a dud.

Nothing about it had star quality, and the judges seemed to agree.

McKinney was crowned the winner of the first round, and she asked to compere against Zhavia. It made sense because Zhavia was having a terrible night.

Zhavia – “Man Down” by Rihanna

Zhavia attempted to right the wrongs of her previous performance with a Rihanna number. It was better than her Drake cover, but still, something seemed off.

McKinney – “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers

McKinney continued to dominate the competition with this latest performance. Zhavia should be very worried.

The judges got to pick who they wanted to advance, and they went with McKinney. There would have been a riot if they voted the other way!

The next head to head found Cannady being left out in the cold and sent home.

That meant the final two were McKinney and Boyd. The panelists decided to give McKinney the win, and it was well deserved.

The Four Recap: Who Returned?!

After five weeks, we are now on the penultimate episode of The Four.

Where has the time gone? This has been a surprisingly fresh take on the singing competitions, and the judges have given some great feedback.

The panel consists of Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Walk. Charlie will not appear on the live finale after allegations of sexual misconduct were made against him.

The stakes were raised throughout the penultimate outing thanks to some shocking returns from some of the most significant competitors who were eliminated earlier in the series.

Vincint Cannady

Vincint wanted to challenge Warrior who has shown a lot of strength throughout the process. He had to wow the judges first, and he did so with his rendition of “Magic” by Coldplay.

Warrior went with “Ordinary People” by John Legend, and it was another solid performance for the singer.

In a surprising turn of events, the fans voted Cannady to take over from Warrior. In a bizarre bust-up, Warrior claimed that Meghan said some hurtful things.

Yeah, because trashing a judge on your way out the door is a classy move.

Evvie McKinney

Evie went with a performance of “Rise Up” by Andra Day. The rendition was devoted to her late father, and it was a phenomenal showcase of her voice.

“You gave me range, you gave me color, you gave me complexity, and you gave your family and your father victory,” Diddy said.

She went after Paige’s seat, and the audience was not interested in her performance of “Stay” be Alessia Cara, and she was sent home.

Then, Boyd and Renaud went head-to-head. As expected, Boyd came out on top, and she went after Harrison for a comment he made earlier.

Boyd was voted through, and Harrison was sent packing. That’s what you get for being mean, we guess.

Zhavia and Minor were next to challenge each other, and it was a tough call. Zhavia came out with the win, but there was just one person left to challenge.

It was Johnson. He went with “Earned It” by The Weeknd. It was a solid, but unspectacular performance.

Zhavia took over the seat, and Johnson was sent home. That means there were a whole lot of crazy twists to say goodbye to the pre-recorded episodes of the series.

Now, we have just one episode to go, and it will be live. It’s unclear whether another judge will be drafted in to replace Charlie Walk now that he’s out of the show.

What did you think of the latest developments?

Who do you want to win it all?

The Four Recap: Who Made Meghan Trainor Cry?

It’s hard to believe that The Four Season 1 is almost over.

With the end in sight, the panelists are thinking about the long-term prospects for each of the performers, and that means it’s getting more difficult than ever to challenge the contestants who just so happen to be in the seats of power.

Zhavia, Jason Warrior, Rell Jerv and Tim Johnson Jr. were the lucky four, but how many of them remained the process at the end of the episode?

Let’s break down the performances, and how they influenced the battle for stardom.

Nicolina

Nicolina went with “Don’t Let Me Down” by The Chainsmokers, and it was nothing to write home about. It was average, at best, and the panel seemed to think so.

You’re not better than the four,” DJ Khaled said as the others nodded in agreement with him.

Ravaughn

Ravaughn was a background singer from Glee who emerged from a two-year hiatus from the world of music to participate on The Four.

She performed “Sorry Not Sorry” by Demi Lovato, and boy, it was a real treat. The artist put her own spin on the song, and successfully set it apart from Lovato’s summer jam.

The panelists were happy to vote her through, and she opted to challenge Warrior. Warrior went with “Titanium,” and it was the type of performance you would expect from him.

It was well-executed and was considerably more polished than that of his challenger. The studio audience voted, and Warrior came out on top with a vote of 1%.

Edi Callier

Edi was a different kind of performer. He had a backstory that would make anyone cry, but his rendition of “Jealous” lacked luster.

It was a one-note affair, and certainly not what the panelists were looking for at this stage of the game. He was sent home.

Nick Harrison

Next up, Nick rapped away to Diddy’s “Bad Boy For Life,” and he won a lot of praise from the panelists. It was a different sound to what they have been given in the competition.

He advanced to the next stage and chose to battle Jerv. Harrison was given the power to take Jerv’s seat thanks to the studio audience.

Yes, this game is going for the jugular at this stage, and it’s pretty exciting for viewers at home.

Josh Wyper

For fans complaining about the lack of country presence on the show, Josh was here to quell those fears. He went with “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton.

However, his country vocals did not wow the panelists, and he was not allowed to go head-to-head to with any of the four.

Kendyle Paige

Kendyle went with “Me, Myself & I” by G-Eazy and Bebe Rexha and it was a slick performance. She knew going into the competition that she wanted to take Zhavia’s seat.

This presented a problem for the panelists because they felt Zhavia was the better of the two and did not want her challenged. After back and forth, they allowed her to go ahead with it.

Kendyle unseated Zhavia after the audience voted her into power. Meghan Trainor was brought to tears by the whole thing because she was big on Zhavia.

So, there’s that. That’s how quickly the tide can change on this show.

What did you think of the latest developments?

The Four Recap: Who Lost Their Place?

At the start of Week Three of The Four, Candice Boyd, Cheyenne Elliott, Zhavia and Jason Warrior returned to the stage to defend their seat to get to the end and win the title of champion.

However,  the competitors stepped it up a few notches, and proved they were there to win but did it come at the expense of all four seats?

Let’s round up the performances.

Rell Jerv

“I’m hip-hop all the way,” Jerv admitted to the panelists as soon as he walked on the stage with one of the biggest egos yet. The panelists were impressed with his rendition of “Pools.”

He advanced, and got to challenge one of the seats of power, and went with Elliot. Elliot went with a performance of “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus, and it was a solid performance that may actually have been better than the original.

In the end, the viewers voted Jerv into power and Elliot was sent packing.

Sean Cavaliere

Sean performed “Stitches” by Shawn Mendes, and the whole thing sounded too close to the original, and the judges collectively agreed that.

“I don’t feel like he’s better than the four,” DJ Khaled admitted as the judges decided to send him home.

Jefferson Clay

Jefferson went with “Better Man” by James Morrison. It was an excellent performance, and the judges were ecstatic to send him through to the next stage. He challenged Warrior.

Warrior went with “Love On The Brain” by Rihanna. It was yet another solid performance from him, and he later took offense to Clay who said he wasn’t an artist.

“Where I’m from, we work hard,” Warrior said with a grin. Warrior was voted to keep his seat in the competition, so Clay got what he deserved: Sent home.

Nicole Boggs

Nicole sang “Like I’m Gonna Lose You,” by Meghan Trainor. In an awkward move, Nicole’s rendition was better than the one Trainor released, and she was voted through.

She battled it out with Zhavia.Zhavia went with “Killing Me Softly,” and it was a mediocre performance. It proved that maybe The Four are not all that great.

Despite this, the viewers allowed Zhavia to stay in the competition.

Tim Johnson Jr.

Tim belted out to “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. Given his track record of playing Young Simba in The Lion King in Las Vegas, it was a successful performance.

He was given the opportunity to challenge Boyd. Boyd performed “Here” by Alessia Cara, and it was an invigorating rendition. Everything about it was great, but the viewers voted for Tim to unseat Boyd.

What did you think of the episode?

The Four Recap: Who Was Voted Out?!

The Four is proving to be a fine blend of American Idol, The Voice, and The Hunger Games.

Just when you breathe a sigh of relief that the person you’re rooting for does not get chosen to battle, someone else appears and attempts to take their place.

In essence, it creates a whole lot of tension, but it’s difficult to really care about much of the competitors because we don’t know much about them.

That’s one of the more significant flaws with this format, and it will likely prove difficult to keep the ratings steady. It’s one of those shows you don’t need to tune into every week because there’s a good chance The Four will be changing on an episodic basis.

Week two found Ash Minor, Alexis “Lex Lu” Boyd, Zhavia and Saeed Renaud continuing to defend their seats as new competitors emerged from the shadows intent on making their mark.

The first competitor was a woman named Candice Boyd. She had an impressive resumé that included working with the likes of Nicki Minaj and French Montana.

But could she actually sing? This is a singing competition after all. She belted out “I’m Going Down” by Mary J. Blige, and it was a real masterpiece.

“You did your thing with that rendition of that song,” Sean “Diddy” Combs said. “And I would love to see you go toe-to-toe with one of the four.”

The panel gave her the go-ahead to battle one of the Four, and she went with Minor. Minor went with “Adorn” by Miguel, and it was a solid performance, but there was something off-key.

Candice went with “Dangerous Woman” by Ariana Grande, and it was yet another showcase of her voice. Candice won the vote with 55% percent, meaning Minor was sent home.

Stevie Brock appeared on the scene and went with “Sugar” by Maroon 5. It was an okay performance, but it was not up there as one of the best.

The judges seemed to agree, and he did not get the privilege of challenging any of the others.

Cheyenne Elliott was up next, and she went with “Wings” by Little Mix. It was much better than Stevie’s performance, but not really worthy of challenging the others.

The panel, however, thought otherwise and she got to take on Lex Lu. Lu went with “Bad and Boujee,” and it was a real delight. She knew what was expected of her and despite some hiccups, she pulled it back.

Elliot sang her heart out to “Too Good at Goodbyes” by Sam Smith. It was much better than her rendition of “Wings,” and the viewers seemed to think so, too. She replaced Lexy Lu.

Kayla Ember went with “Bad At Love” by Halsey, and it was not all that. Thankfully, she was let go early.

The final challenger of the night was Jason Warrior, and he went with “Love Me Now” by John Legend.

He was the surprise hit of the night and got to challenge Renaud.

Renaud went with “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder. It was great and proved he deserved to keep his place, but then Warrior belted out “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons.

The fans voted Warrior to take Renaud out of the game.

Yes, all four originals are now gone, and we did not know much about them. This show is like a procedural version of singing competitions.

What do you think?

The Four Recap: A Fresh Take on Singing Competitions?!

It’s crazy that we’re in 2018 and the broadcast networks are still throwing singing competitions our way.

What stings with singing competitions is the sheer fact that much of the winners are never heard again, so it’s increasingly difficult to sit through them.

Fox’s latest effort comes in the form of The Four: Battle for Stardom and the network seems to think it’s going to be the show that will successfully change the genre up.

When the series kicked off Thursday night, the four finalists had already been chosen by the judging panel that consisted of Meghan Trainor, DJ Khaled, Charlie Walk and Sean “Diddy” Coombs.

The four best singers in all of the land were apparently Lex Lu, Blair Perkins, Elanese Lansen and Ash Minor. It definitely felt anti-climactic to go into the episode without witnessing the journey of these four.

But, whenever a challenger appears, they have the power to take one of the seats and send the person who is in the final four home, or something.

The first challenger was Tyler Griffin, and he appeared on the scene to film a Jason Derulo song. It was a decent enough rendition of the song, but Charlie Walk tried to be the Simon Cowell of the group and basically said it was crap.

The other three seemed mad because they actually liked the performance. The big flaw with the format is that ALL the judges need to give the go-ahead for the person to advance in the competition.

It’s going to be rare to find an act that all the judges agree on, and it takes away much of the suspense. That meant Tyler’s big challenge was all for nothing and he was sent home.

Zhavia, a 16-year-old girl, appeared as the next challenger and wasted no time in belting her heart out to Khalid’s “Location.”

Zhavia was voted through, and that meant she got to battle one of the Four for their place in the competition. Her battle was with Elanese, and it was clear Zhavia performed better.

The audience allowed Zhavia to stay and Elanese was sent packing, so there’s that. It didn’t help matters that Fergie was muttering as she walked around the stage.

The next challenger was a singer-songwriter named Anthony Hall, but the judges were not feeling it and cut him off pretty much off the bat. What happened to giving everyone a chance, you guys?

Illakriss was the next person, and he was voted through to battle it out with Lex Lu, but Lex ran circles around him in the performance, and Illakriss was sent home.

Saeed Renaud was the final competitor on the night, and we quickly learned he had already won a Grammy as a songwriter, so he had more experience than half of the judging panel.

But Renaud’s rendition of “Run To You” by Whitney Houston was hands down the best performance of the night. The shock was off the charts. It’s no Susan Boyle moment, but it’s up there.

Saeed got to battle it out with Blair and won the battle.

That concluded an awkward 120 minutes long episode. There are hints of a good show, but the judges need to dial back the enthusiasm and critique the singers.

What did you think of it?
