Anfisa and Jorge Nava: We Quit 90 Day Fiance!

In September, Jorge Nava reported to prison to begin serving his 2.5 year sentence.

His wife, Anfisa, is still free and continues to be a full-time student.

But she has shared some news that will break the hearts of many fans: she and Jorge are done with 90 Day Fiance.

Anfisa Nava has clearly been working out, and she took to Instagram to show off the results.

You can see those results for yourself in the gif below. Her fans and followers sure noticed.

“Oh wow, your transition from first seeing you on 90 Day Fiance has been phenomenal,” a fan commented.

That comment continued: “I hope they bring you and Jorge back next season.”

Anfisa, however, had some crushing news.

“Nope, we are done,” she wrote, adding a smiling emoji.

Though her followers had been commenting on slender and surprisingly buff body, her revelation caught their attention.

“That makes me sad that u won’t be back on the show,” wrote a fan.

The fan continued, saying that they would “miss u guys much.”

“Why are you guys done??” asked another follower.

That follower continued: “You two are one of my favorite couples!”

We talked about this possibility earlier this year, in the aftermath of the initial arrest and especially after Jorge’s sentencing.

Anfisa and Jorge are one of the most talked-about couples in the 90 Day Fiance franchise.

Why? In part, because they’re still together — which was seriously questioned for a while.

In part because Anfisa is hot (let’s not pretend that people don’t follow some couples more than others because of that; get real)

And in part because they are heavily controversial.

One is a gold digger and the other is, well, a pot grower who lied about his wealth to score a much hotter bride.

Their relationship seemed toxic for so long — they were openly hostile to each other.

But we cautioned months ago that they might stop appearing on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?

Why? Because Jorge is in prison.

While it’s true that some television shows have interviewed prisoners and aired the footage, that doesn’t really work well for reality shows.

It’s hard to do a show about a married couple when one is behind bars.

Anfisa is believed to be relying at least partially upon YouTube revenue — though that is uncunfirmed — while Jorge is away.

In a recent YouTube video, she seemed to throw her embattled husband under the proverbial bus.

“In my opinion, Jorge is an adult and he really should take responsibility for his actions,” Anfisa said.

“And,” she continued. “Whatever is going on now, he brought upon himself.”

Interestingly, many would blame a corrupt legal system that makes a plant perfectly legal on one side of an imaginary line and heavily illegal on the other.

“And I think I don’t deserve to be in this situation,” Anfisa said. “And I don’t deserve to hear all this negativity from all these people.”

It’s true that Anfisa wasn’t the one who was caught in Arizona transporting a massive amount of marijuana.

Some found that line a little coldhearted, especially coming from the guy’s wife.

But perhaps she is trying to avoid making excuses for him and instead focusing on hoping that he gets out a few months early.

2.5 years may be a relatively short prison sentence, but it’s a long time. Especially for a married couple.

Jorge Nava Sentenced to Prison After Marijuana Arrest

Early this year, 90 Day Fiance star Jorge Nava was arrested with a massive amount of marijuana.

He makes his money from legal pot, but at the time, he was in Arizona.

Now, he and Anfisa have revealed, he has been sentenced to more than two years behind bars.

In an interview with TMZ, Jorge Nava explains why he made a plea deal rather than fighting for his day in court.

"When I first started," Jorge says. "With the charges against me, I was looking at like 24 years or something like that, some ridiculous number."

Well, it"s not like there"s a reasonable number of years to lose from your life because of a naughty plant, but like one-third of the average lifespan is … evil.

"But luckily my lawyer was able to work out a plea agreement," Jorge says. "I ended up pleading to a Class 4 felony in Arizona."

The plea deal is better than what he had been facing for transporting 300 pounds of pot, but it"s a far cry from probation and a stern warning.

Jorge has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years behind bars. One tenth of the time he might have spent, but still a very long time.

"I feel like it’s really harsh of a penalty for the crime," Jorge tells TMZ. "Just because it’s marijuana-related."

"And," Jorge reminds everyone. "Right now it’s going legal in a lot of states.”

“It’s actually medically legal in Arizona," Jorge points out. "I just feel like going to prison over the same stuff that’s legal is kind of crazy to me."

Weird to think that crossing an imaginary line with one type of plant in your car can ruin your life.

Anfisa posted a video about Jorge"s legal battle. We"ve included the video, but Anfisa wants everyone to know that the video does not tell the whole story.

"Hi guys…" Anfisa wrote after uploading the video.

"I was finishing editing this video after I found the actual outcome," Anfisa reveals. "And I’m shocked by what Jorge got."

This is a woman whose husband is going to prison.

"PS," she adds. "I actually made a mistake in the end. He got 2.5 years."

To rub salt in the wound, Jorge laments that he could have avoided prison time.

"[My lawyer] told me if I didn’t have an priors, I would have probably got probation,” Jorge says.

“I would have been a first-time offender in Arizona," he shares. "But, I had two previous convictions for cultivation of marijuana."

It wasn"t that long ago that marijuana was illegal in California — and the rest of the country.

"Just to set that straight; that’s my criminal record," Jorge makes clear. "I’ve never done anything else. I’ve never even had a DUI."

Judge Billy Sipe clearly did not see things Jorge"s way.

Jorge"s attorney implored the court to consider his client"s "young age" when ruling on his sentence.

Jorge is, last we checked, 26. That"s not old, exactly, but not generally an age where courts choose leniency as they might for a teenager.

Desperate, his attorney even asked the judge to take into account Jorge"s "job in the television industry." Yeah, that did not work, either.

Judge Sipe gave Jorge the maximum sentence behind bars that the deal that he had reached with prosectors would allow.

Many fans don"t particularly like Jorge — or Anfisa, for that matter. But it"s one thing to dislike a man. It"s quite another to want him to lose years off of his life.

But like him, hate him, or feel sorry for him, some fans have to ask: does this mean the end of Jorge and Anfisa on 90 Day Fiance?

It might. Producers may decide that Jorge and Anfisa are old news, and that Jorge"s imprisonment makes involving him in the show too difficult.

But if producers are smart, they"ll recognize that Anfisa and Jorge are polarizing enough for it to be worth the extra effort.

Plenty of shows do interviews with people who are behind bars. 90 Day Fiance doesn"t have to be any different.

That is assuming that Jorge and Anfisa still want to be on camera — and still want to remain a couple. Prison can really change a marriage.

Jorge Nava and Anfisa Speak Out About Jorge"s Arrest, Whether They"re Together

Though fans have come to strongly suspect that Anfisa Arkhipchenko and Jorge Nava are still together, the couple hasn"t actually verbally confirmed things, one way or the other.

The controversial 90 Day Fiance couple has finally sat down to clear the air, in the video that you"ll see below.

What brought this on? Well, largely, the fact that Jorge Nava was arrested.

Yes, the couple confirms the reports of Jorge"s arrest.

They caution fans against reading unverified accounts of the nature of his arrest (he reportedly had a massive amount of marijuana while in a state where it"s illegal), but Jorge himself cannot really confirm much of the story.

"The only thing I can confirm is that I was arrested on Feb. 7, and I was bailed out by my wife two days later."

Obviously, talking about the charges against him could come back to bite him in court.

"Other than that, due to the delicate nature of my case… I can’t talk about the details until all of this is over"

Honestly, being leery of unverified reports is good advice for anyone.

Anfisa then mentions that a number of commenters had asked about her green card status and how it might be impacted.

Jorge clarifies that no, the arrest of one"s American spouse does not somehow nullify someone"s marriage or green card status.

Anfisa then says "Sorry, haters" and looks pleased as punch.

Seriously — love Anfisa or hate her, but look at the expression on her face here. It"s great.

It"s smug satisfaction, folks. This isn"t the first time that Anfisa has told her haters to eat it.

These two also want to resolve relationship questions.

Before they actually speak about it, they share an on-camera kiss.

Actually, three on-camera kisses.

After the first one, Anfisa gives Jorge a weird look, pinches his nose, and then kisses him again. (The third kiss is at the end)

We don"t know what that"s about. Like everything else about this relationship, it leaves us with questions.

But yes, they really kiss. If you can"t wait for the video below, here"s the proof.

Anfisa speaks up about their marriage:

"Some time ago I made a post on my Instagram saying that I would like to keep my personal life private."

Which, though an odd choice for a reality star, is totally her right.

"But due to the crazy amount of speculation that’s going on, I just decided that it’s better to share with you that we’re still together, obviously."

Not just still married, but still together.

Anfisa then goes on to elaborate about their relationship.

"We’ve never really broken up. Yes, we had our fights just like any other couple, but we’re working through it."

That sounds healthy enough.

"You know, everybody fights. Everybody is crazy. But that"s how relationships are."

That is … not quite accurate. Not every relationship has fights like theirs. Not every relationship has fights, period.

"All relationships are different. And if your relationship is different from ours, it doesn"t give you the right to judge us or insult us in any way."

Well, no, they shouldn"t be insulted for having a different relationship. But at times, their relationship has seemed toxic. Some fans would argue that it"s fair for them to be judged.

Jorge Nava: Arrested with a MASSIVE Amount of Marijuana

Just when things are looking up, it all comes crashing down.

90 Day Fiance couple Anfisa Arkhipchenko and Jorge Nava are still together, with Anfisa posting photos of the two of them side-by-side. But that doesn’t mean that everything’s all smiles and roses.

Because Jorge Nava was arrested earlier this month.

TMZ reports that Jorge Nava was arrested for transporting 293 pounds of marijuana.

He was arrested for possession, possession with intent to sell, transporting a controlled substance, and also possessing drug paraphernalia.

Though Jorge lives in California, where medical and recreational marijuana are both legal, there are unfortunately still states where the naughty plant remains illegal and where people’s entire lives can be ruined for possessing it.

Arizona, where Jorge was pulled over at a traffic stop before officers discovered his alleged cargo, is one of them.

Jorge was arrested on February 8th, released after paying $ 25,000 bond, and was formally charged on February 12th in Mohave County court.

(Yes, it’s spelled Mohave, even though the desert is the Mojave. I don’t know what to tell you. Go ask Arizona)

Jorge’s initial bond was set at $ 100,000, but bail and bond don’t always work how people think — unless you skip your court date.

The reality star potentially faces as much as 12.5 years in prison if convicted and given the maximum. That’s enough prison time to totally ruin someone’s life.

Jorge’s life and livelihood could be in jeopardy, and a costly court battle could ruin him.

But he looks just fine in this photo that his wife Anfisa shared recently.

Anfisa and Jorge’s relationship has always been contentious.

Not to mention controversial for viewers.

Anfisa has not been shy about characterizing herself as a gold digger. She wants to be married to a man of means.

And, as we all remember, Jorge wasn’t quite as wealthy as he had led her to believe before she came to the US to marry him. 

In fact, he was in debt.

Despite the dishonestly, Anfisa and Jorge tied the knot.

Even after the two of them married, however, they didn’t exactly ride off into the sunset with a happily ever after ending.

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? viewers saw Anfisa strike Jorge on camera. Arguments about money seemed to define their marriage.

At the tell all special, the couple appeared to be on the verge of divorce.

Jorge accused Anfisa of becoming mean once she’d gotten what she wanted from him — a boob job, paid for by him.

He also tried to imply that Anfisa, a model by trade, was working as some form of sex worker.

Things are so much better between Jorge and Anfisa now. At least, that’s how it appears from the few glimpses that Anfisa gives followers of the two of them.

Some fans can’t help but wonder if the couple being on good terms might have something to do with Jorge allegedly transporting a medium-sized football player’s worth of marijuana.

Jorge has previously been “accused” of growing and selling marijuana by an acquaintance.

Marijuana is legal in California, as we mentioned, but some wonder if he might have transported it — allegedly — to sell in states that still enforce the plant’s senseless prohibition for a higher sale value.

Perhaps, while Anfisa pursues higher education, Jorge is trying to settle his debts and make enough money to make her happy. That’s one fan theory.

Others, however, feel that this is just a way of fans trying to blame Anfisa for Jorge’s poor choices.

Anfisa Arkhipchenko & Jorge Nava: Spotted Together in Public! Back Together?

Of all of the 90 Day Fiance couples, few are more controversial than Anfisa Arkhipchenko and Jorge Nava.

Fans believed that their relationship, which seemed to be built on lies and greed, was toxic to its very core.

It’s unclear if Anfisa and Jorge are still together. But Anfisa just dropped a major hint.

Jorge Nava is American, and didn’t exactly honestly represent his wealth to Anfisa. He saw her on Instagram, thirsted hard, and said anything he could to make her his.

Anfisa saw Jorge and fell in love … with the idea of marrying a wealthy man. She has never been shy about wanting to be taken care of, financially. Or about her disappointment when learning that Jorge is not as wealthy as she had believed.

90 Day Fiance viewers have seen Anfisa strike Jorge on camera, so “controversial” is a bit of an understatement for this couple.

Though the two of them did get married, it appeared at the 90 Day Fiance tell-all special that Anfisa and Jorge were parting ways.

When jorge declared that Anfisa had gotten mean after he paid for her boob job (Anfisa did get plastic surgery) and when he tried to imply that she was a sex worker, it looked like they were never going to see each other again.

After the tell-all special, Anfisa signed with an agency. Without Jorge’s (real or imagined) money to support her, she’d need to work as a model.

Curiously, though, Anfisa changed her name on Instagram from Anfisa Arkhipchenko to Anfisa Nava.

She did marry Jorge, to be clear, but usually if you’re going to change your name on social media, you do it when things are good, not when things are over.

But that’s part of Anfisa’s teasing. She wants fans to wonder if she and Jorge Nava are back together.

She’s said that she’s decided to keep some things private.

But then she goes and posts this to her Instagram story:

The many many in-app edits aside, that is a photo of Anfisa Arkhipchenko and Jorge Nava.

They appear to be together to do Anfisa’s favorite activity: shopping!

It certainly doesn’t seem likely that they happened to bump into each other, so … were they out shopping?

Anfisa once deleted all photos of Jorge from her page, but it appears that things are better between them.

Maybe much better.

In this blurry shot from a little earlier this year, Jorge and Anfisa are once again shopping together.

Note that Anfisa’s left hand is holding her phone, so that other hand that appears to be grabbing her butt must belong to none other than Jorge Nava.

Since it appears that Anfisa is sharing these tidbits in order to put people’s minds to rest, we can only speculate about why she’s not coming out and saying it.

One, perhaps she’s still figuring out where she and Jorge are and doesn’t want to announce anything.

Two, maybe they’re under contract to do no more than tease fans, for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? or perhaps for another series in the franchise.

(All four shows were renewed, by the way)

Three, maybe Anfisa doesn’t want to tie Jorge to her modeling brand.

Four, maybe it’s like Anfisa says and she just wants to keep that part of her life mostly private.

It’s hard to tell, but it’s likely that we’ll know in the future. Anfisa and Jorge are too eye-catching of a couple to just fade into obscurity. They could, but it wouldn’t be the right career move for anyone.

If Anfisa and Jorge really are back together, well, let’s hope that they’ve worked out their issues in a healthy manner.

Anfisa Arkhipchenko & Jorge Nava: Are They Still Together?!

There have been few 90 Day Fiance couples more controversial than Anfisa Arkhipchenko and Jorge Nava.

He seemed like a liar who wanted a mail-order-bride. She seemed like a gold-digger and was filmed striking him. It … was not pretty.

Fans have been demanding to know if this toxic couple is together … and Anfisa is finally addressing those questions.

90 Day Fiance is a fascinating reality series in which international couples — one American, one from elsewhere — have only 90 days (per US visa laws) to spend together in the US before they must either marry, or the non-American partner must go home.

Jorge Nava is an American who liked Anfisa Arkhipchenko’s modeling photos and struck up a conversation with her.

He apparently convinced her that he was wealthy and that he would take care of her if she came to the US.

She arrived to find that, well, Jorge’s living financial wasn’t quite what she’d imagined. Specifically, he was in debt.

And Jorge discovered that Anfisa really, really likes to shop. She jokes that it’s the thing that she does best.

Jorge would later claim that Anfisa only got mean when he paid for her to get a boob job. For what it’s worth, Anfisa acknowledges having gotten some work done.

He also tried to imply on television that she was a sex worker.

But even when they were first trying to work things out, things didn’t go well. Anfisa Arkhipchenko slapped Jorge Nava on camera, which is very alarming because domestic violence is always alarming.

Anfisa then tried to turn it around by accusing Jorge Nava of “violence” … claiming that his alleged control over the couple’s finances was the real abuse.

(To be serious, there are cases of viciously controlling spouses who use financial control to dominate their partners; but you don’t usually see the victims in those situations going shopping quite as often as Anfisa was shown doing)

All around, these two struck viewers as a toxic couple. And their interactions horrified their 90 Day Fiance costars.

But, after all of that, Anfisa celebrated her anniversary just a month before the 90 Day Fiance Tell-All Special aired, and her name on Instagram is Anfisa Nava.

And, in the captions beside a photo of her holding a huge box of roses, Anfisa finally decided that it was time to address the questions that fans ask the most.

“I would like to address some of the most popular comments under my posts: Are you still married? Where is your husband?”

But she’s not prepared to give a direct answer:

“Right now I prefer to keep my personal life private.”

If you’re thinking that a reality star asking for privacy is odd, she anticipated that.

“You might say ‘but you were on a reality show!"”

She sure was.

“Yes, and you should understand that even on the show you don’t see my whole life 24/7, you only see parts of it that were chosen by producers.” 

Oh, we know that.

“Same with my Instagram, only now the ‘producer’ is me.”

That’s one way of looking at it.

Anfisa then poses a question to her followers, and it’s unclear if that question is rhetorical or intended to be answered:

“Do you think it’s better to keep your relationship and personal life private or to share your happiness with everybody?”

As you can imagine, her followers replied in the comments, sounding off with different answers.

But … are she and Jorge still together?

We can’t imagine another reason for Anfisa to be holding a box of roses, unless it’s a product endorsement, in which case she really should have included the #ad tag in her captions, per FCC guidelines.

Despite common sense, we sort of get the feeling that Anfisa and Jorge are still together or still trying to work through things in some capacity.

In the mean time, Anfisa is modeling and it looks like she’s doing a number of endorsements on Instagram.

It may be that they’re keeping up an air of mystique for “privacy.”

Or maybe it’s just because Anfisa feels that confirming that they’re together or apart will, either way, alienate some followers, and she wants that money, honey.

Or it’s possible that the two are keeping mum because they’re going to be on 90 Day Fiance some more, and any answers would actually be spoilers.

That is what makes the most sense, to us.

Jorge Nava: Anfisa Arkhipchenko Got Mean After i Bought Her New Boobs!

90 Day Fiance has shown us a lot of toxic couples who should never so much as pass each other on the street, let alone marry. Most of them realized that and bowed out before tying the knot.

Some couples with toxic relationships married. Jorge Nava and Anfisa Arkhipchenko seemed wrong for each other, for so many reasons.

But they recently sat down and discussed exactly where their relationship went wrong. As it turns out, there was so much more to it than money. The video below shows them argue about exactly what else gave them so much trouble.

Money was always a big deal for Anfisa Arkhipchenko and Jorge Nava"s relationship.

That"s not really an assumption.

Jorge was a "wealthy" American who became infatuated with Anfisa thanks to Instagram.

Anfisa was very open about her desire to be pampered and treasured by her affluent husband, earning her the "gold-digger" label by may fans of 90 Day Fiance.

We"ve known for a long time that trouble started to emerge for this couple when Anfisa discovered that Jorge wasn"t as wealthy as he had claimed to be, and that he was in debt.

Despite all of that, the couple remained together after getting married.

In fact, Anfisa Arkhipchenko celebrated her one year anniversary, telling her haters exactly what she thought of them for saying that her relationship was doomed. 

And yet, during the Tell All special, things seemed to be almost at their worst ever between Anfisa and Jorge.

(We say "almost" because of that time that Anfisa hit Jorge)

During one of the portions of the 90 Day Fiance Tell All special that we didn"t get a chance to talk about (because there was so much!), Anfisa and Jorge pretty much went off on each other from separate couches.

Jorge and Anfisa had broken up prior to the Tell All and, strangely, it wasn"t domestic violence or finances that had been their last straw, but a fight between Jorge"s sister and Anfisa.

As you"ll see in the video below, Jorge claims that Anfisa seemed to change for the worse, in terms of her attitude towards him and their relationship, after he paid for her to get a boob job.

We should clarify that Jorge uses different terminology, which TLC elected to bleep.

It gets worse and, though Jorge accuses Anfisa of cheating on him, he comes across sounding like the bad guy.

Jorge Nava accuses Anfisa of cheating.

How does he claim to know this?

Well, he says that he went through Anfisa"s text messages.

He says that she didn"t know that he knew her password, and would look through her texts when she was asleep.

Paola Mayfield, watching this from another room with other stars of 90 Day Fiance, says what we"re all thinking:

"Oh my gosh, what a creepy relationship."

Paola is right. That is an abusive behavior and there is, quite frankly, no excuse for doing that.

And by the way — Jorge describes "flirty" texts without providing any actual evidence of any actual cheating.

After all of that, he seems to want to imply without actually saying so that Anfisa is a sex worker.

While there"s nothing actually wrong with sex work of any kind, Jorge seems to be saying this just to hurt her feelings or embarrass her.

That sounds like a thoroughly toxic relationship, right?

Well, somehow, between that Tell All special and now, the two of them appear to have gotten back together.

At least, their recent Instagram activity strongly suggests that they"re an item.

Anfisa Arkhipchenko"s name on Instagram is "Anfisa Nava."

Maybe they really are trying to make it work, but … we can"t imagine how.
