Nina Dobrev WILL Return For The Vampire Diaries Series Finale
First, Ian Somerhalder declared that season eight of the CW series will be its last (though the network wouldn’t confirm).
Then, ideas about how The Vampire Diaries would end had some whispering that Nina Dobrev, who left after season six, would return for the finale.
Since Dobrev’s character, Elena was put under a sleeping spell which linked her to Bonnie (played by Kat Graham, who announced she wouldn’t return after next season), fans wondered if they would ever seen Elena again, as she’s one of the show’s pivotal characters.
According to Hollywood Life, Dobrev is deffo returning for the finale.
“When the show ends Nina will be a part of it some way shape or form,” a source told the site.
“She is 10,000 percent coming back.”
The source wouldn’t elaborate on what role Dobrev will play.
Somerhalder broke the news about TVD‘s last season at WalkerStalkerCon in Nashville on April 10th.
“We have decided to do one last season to really do the story justice,” Somerhalder said, according to the convention’s Twitter account.
In 2015, Dobrev told People that her departure from the show wasn’t a surprise to the cast and crew. However, fans were heartbroken to learn that such a significant character was leaving.
“Nobody was really surprised because we’ve known about this for a long time,” Dobrev said of her co-stars and crew members.
“Everyone knew in our family, in the Vampire world, knew that this was my last season for a couple of years now.
“It was just the fans [who were surprised], but the fans are very much our family, as well. That’s why we wanted to include them and why we told them in advance – we didn’t want to make anyone angry, we wanted to include them in the last little journey, this awesome ride that we’re going on together.”
The Vampire Diaries season finale airs May 13th at 8pm on The CW.

Nina Dobrev: Using Vin Diesel To Make Ian Somerhalder Jealous???
Probably not, but a Delena fan can dream.
Nina Dobrev is currently filming xXx: The Return of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel, who paid her a sweet compliment via Instagram.
"Actors like Nina make every scene better," Diesel captioned the video.
"Blessed to have her in Our XxX franchise… She does Hot/Sexy/Hilarious effortlessly."
Dobrev was flattered
"I paid Vin to say all those nice things about me," she captioned the repost. "Best $ 50 bucks I"ve ever spent."
Ever since Dobrev left The Vampire Diaries after season six, fans have hoped that she"ll return, even for the series finale. That may be a ways off, since the CW hit was recently renewed for another season.
Diaries has struggled to find its footing after Dobrev"s departure, but her ex-boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder is still fully committed to it.
Somerhalder stepped behind the camera for an upcoming episode, and urged viewers to tune it.
"Working on post production of episode 716 that I directed. It airs FRIDAY APRIL 1st- can watch it with me? Let me know what you think? I know that you are all very busy but we worked very hard on this episode, to tug at your heartstrings… Watch with me, and we can discuss the episode as it is AIRING.
"Plus, as we are watching together and live tweeting- I can"t wait to select (at random) a Twitter handle and I will FedEx my leather script binder to you. It"s precious to me, it"s what I"ve been using on set for years breaking down the material as Damon Salvatore- I want one of you to have it;)

Somerhalder and Dobrev broke up in 2013, but Dobrev assured both the media and fans that they remain friends and she"s happy for him and wife Nikki Reed, whom he married in April 2015.
"When I heard about the wedding, I thought it was beautiful," Dobrev told E! News.
"They look happy and I am happy and so I don"t see why there should be a problem with that. The drama is in the media, it"s not with us.
"But of course, we"re on a teen drama show, everyone"s going to look for drama. "If there"s no drama, there"s nothing to write about. I just ignore it."

Ian Somerhalder: It"s Nina Dobrev"s Fault The Vampire Diaries Faces Cancellation!
The Vampire Diaries has enjoyed a successful run thus far, but with the departure of a main character, that success is waning.
Season six saw the departure of one of the show’s main characters, Elena, played by Nina Dobrev. Her reason for leaving was to pursue film opportunities.
“I always knew I wanted Elena’s story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime,” Dobrev told fans via Instagram in 2015.
Season seven of the CW series was moved to Fridays, perhaps one of the worst days of the week for a show to air (with the exception of a few). Since it’s season premiere, ratings have fallen, and rumor has it that Dobrev’s ex-boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder is not happy.
Celebrity Dirty Laundry reports that Somerhalder blames his ex for the dip in ratings, and it’s speculated that Dobrev left the show because she didn’t want to be around Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed (the couple married last April).
Reed reportedly moved to Georgia while Somerhalder filmed TVD, which made for some awkward interactions on set (again, this is speculation).
Dobrev, however, addressed the rumors that she had bad blood with the couple last May.

Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell: It"s Over!
It is all over for Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell.
According to E! News, the attractive actress and very handsome actor have split after seven months of dating.
“It started to get hard with both of their schedules,” a source says of Dobrev and Stowell. “They remain on good terms.”
The former Vampire Diaries star was pretty open about the relationship, sharing a photo back in December of her and Stowell embracing during a ski vacation.
But we haven’t seen or heard much from them since and the same source explains why: this break up actually occurred a few weeks ago.
Over Valentine’s Day weekend, Dobrev hung out with her closest girlfriends and wrote as a caption to a picture on Instagram:
“Sunday Funday. #HappyGALentinesDay.”
Dobrev, of course, is best known romantically for having dated her ex-Vampire Diaries colleague Ian Somerhalder for a number of years.
He’s since moved way on, however, actually marrying Nikki Reed in early 2014; while Dobrev went public with Stowell in June.
The stars seemed pretty cute as a couple, but it can be challenging to find time to spend together in Hollywood.
We wish both sides the best and really hope to see Dobrev settled down and happy at some point. We love her.

Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell: Major PDA Alert!
Move over, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed.
There’s another famous couple who would like to engage in some public displays of affection. And you know one half of it pretty darn well.
Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell, who have been a romantic item for about six months, recently took a ski vacation together.
But the former Vampire Diaries star and Public Morals actor didn’t merely hit the slopes.
They clearly hit each other as well. In the sexual sense, that is!
Dobrev did not include a caption with the image above, but she also recently shared a collage on Instagram of her and her boyfriend having a blast together.
“Throwing it back to the other day when I baked a carrot birthday cake #HappyBirthday/Christmas#RudolphTheRedNosedAustin,” she wrote as an affiliated message to that picture.
Dobrev, of course, dated her Vampire Diaries co-star for many years.
But she and Somerhalder split back in 2013, much to the chagrin of fans of this CW drama.
They remained on good terms, however, though you can no longer watch The Vampire Diaries online and see Dobrev as Elena Gilbert because she departed the series after Season 6.
Somerhalder went on to marry Reed this past spring, with the two gushing over each other on social media every chance they get.
That must have been hard on Dobrev, but she and Stowell went public with their relationship back in October… in the most adorable way possible.
First, Stowell posted a screenshot of his Twitte feed, writing:
“That awkward moment when you realize you don’t follow your girlfriend on Twitter #socialmediaproblems @ninadobrev.”
Dobrev then replied:
“That awkward moment when u realize ur not following him either&gotta do it realfast b4 he realizes.”

Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell Go Public, Pose at Movie Premiere
Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell have gone public with their romance.
The actress and the actor, who reportedly kissed while hanging out in June, attended the premiere of Bridge of Spies together over the weekend, turning all dating rumors into a romantic reality.
They look pretty comfortable and cozy with each other here, do they not?
Stowell plays a role in the wildly-anticipated film, which is directed by Steven Spielberg and which stars Tom Hanks.
Dobrev, of course, will forever be best known for her role as Elena Gilbert on The Vampire Diaries, though she departed the series this spring and will not be seen on The Vampire Diaries Season 7.
“You can tell how much they love each other just by the way they speak and their mannerisms toward one another,” an insider told E! News this summer.
“Austin is such a gentleman and treats Nina with such respect.”
Prior to getting with Stowell, Dobrev dated co-star Ian Somerhalder for a number of years, with some believing that awkwardness on set after their split contributed to Dobrev walking away from TVD.
We’ll never know if that was the case or not, but Somerhalder married Nikki Reed in April.
They’ve since gone on to gush about each other on a nearly daily basis via Instagram photos and messages.
We’ve been happy for Somerhalder and Reed and everything, but now we can be happy for Dobrev as well. Yay for everyone involved here!

Ian Somerhalder Professes Love For Nina Dobrev On Twitter — But It Was Just A Hack! See What Was Tweeted HERE!
Talk about awkward!
Last night, it appeared as though Ian Somerhalder had gotten a little, crazy love-sick as his Twitter account was filled with tweets professing his love for ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev — something that normally might have blindsided his wife, Nikki Reed.
But don’t freak out Nikki, you have nothing to worry about!
Apparently it was hacker by the name “Cloudnine” who had somehow logged in to the Vampire Diaries star’s account.

It was pretty obvious that the 36-year-old’s account was hacked when posts like “who even is ian somerhalder” and a recommendation to check out the tv show Mr. Robot went out.
Shortly after the whole incident, a source close to Somerhalder confirmed the hacking but didn’t give any clue as to how how it may have happened.
Surprisingly though, the hacker kept things fairly tame and respectful — or as respectful as a hacker can be — and even sent out a “I am so sorry” message as his or her final tweet!
