Amber Portwood: Good Riddance to Farrah, But I Don"t Know About Mackenzie McKee

Early Tuesday morning, Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood welcomed her baby boy.

While she’s excited and busy with her new baby, Amber always has time for her longstanding feud with Farrah Abraham.

And she’s speaking about Farrah’s firing … and her replacement.

Amber Portwood spoke to HollywoodLife.

“Everyone knows why Farrah’s not on the damn show.”

While the exact story varies depending upon whom you ask, Amber is definitely not buying the “Viacom hate crimes” angle.

“She pushed her limits every season, she knew that she did.”

Farrah was reportedly a nightmare for producers and others responsible for making the show.

Amber says that, eventually, enough was enough.

“And you can’t keep doing that.”

Drama is the fuel that keeps reality television going, and Amber acknowledges that Farrah was nothing if not wildly dramatic.

“Yeah, it works for a little while, it brings some ratings.”

Amber explains that there are limits to how much of a real-world disaster you can be and still have people willing to work with you.

“But when you keep pushing back and it’s a big network, you can’t go too far.”

Eventually, like a bear being harassed by a racist squirrel, MTV got tired of it.

“This is bigger than her.”

But since Farrah has been claiming that this was all about her sex work, Amber thinks that Farrah may genuinely believe it.

“I think she didn’t realize that and she got booted for it.”

But Amber won’t lose any sleep over Farrah’s departure.

“I’m just fine with it, s–t. I don’t care.”

That’s fair.

Reportedly, Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie McKee is replacing Farrah on Teen Mom OG.

But Amber says that she is in the dark — or at least that she cannot confirm anything.

“I don’t know what’s going on with that.”

Obviously, the stars aren’t going to comment until the network makes things nice and official.

“Again, everything’s up in the air.”

Amber does suggest that MTV’s cameras may have included her giving birth to her newborn boy.

“I can’t say that yet. I really don’t know if my birth will be filmed because I may have him before the due date, so it’s getting crazy.”

Amber’s due date was May 13, so she’s absolutely right.

But we do wonder if cameras are rolling.

The biggest thing in Amber’s life right now has nothing to do with her past, present, or future castmates.

She just gave birth!

As Amber revealed back in December, her son’s name is James Andrew Glennon.

Huge congratulations to the whole family — Amber, Andrew, baby James, and of course, Leah!

When Amber went into early labor over the weekend, we knew that the countdown had begun.

Obviously, Amber Portwood has had her issues over the years … and even recently.

Among other things, her anger issues have made her interesting to watch on television, even as they have alarmed viewers.

A lot of fans are also concerned about her whirlwind romance with Andrew Glennon. Some even worried that he used her emotional vulnerability to become her rebound.

But she seems to be much happier with her current situation than she has been in a while.

And congratulations for the birth of her son are absolutely in order.

Kim Zolciak to The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Good Riddance!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans just received some real, raw and terrible news:

One of the franchise’s most famous faces has said she will not return for the next all-new run of episodes.

Or the one after that… or the one after that.

Yup, folks, it’s true: Kim Zolciak is outta there.

For good.

On Saturday, the mother of six, who was traveling with husband Kroy Biermann, was stopped by a TMZ cameraman at the Los Angeles airport.

Asked about her future on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Zolciak made her answer as clear as can be, responding that she is “never, never” appearing on the series.

Why?

Because the show causes “too much unneeded stress,” she said.

Such a stance should not come as a shock to fans of this Bravo program.

Zolciak’s feud with NeNe Leakes reached new levels of intensity, immaturity and, some would say, racism over the past several weeks.

The reality stars, along with Kim’s daughter, went back and forth over whether NeNe has roaches in her home and, basically, over which of them sucks the most.

Prior to Kim’s TMZ-related confirmation, Andy Cohen even told People Magazine he assumed the veteran cast member had screamed her final on-air insult.

“I think she’s done, yeah,” Cohen told the publication, recounting the tension in filming the the Real Housewives season 10 reunion with Zolciak-Biermann and longtime rival Leakes:

“[Kim] walked out of that reunion and I said, ‘Yeah, I’ve seen the last of that wig at these reunions."”

Here’s a glimpse at that walk-out:

Zolciak, of course, departed the show that made her famous back in its fifth season to film her own reality show Don’t Be Tardy./

But she made a triumphant and well-publicized return for Season 10 last year.

The three-part Real Housewives reunion special to which Cohen refers above kicked off on April 8 and has already stirred more than its share of hilarious controversy.

Case in point?

Marlon Wayans actually reminded the world he’s still alive a few days ago when he dissed Kim via Instagram by sharing an image of her from the reunion and writing:

“No we are not in production on White Chicks 2. The f–k?!”

Zolciak was offended by this jab.

“Was always a super big fan of yours and my kids loved you,” she wrote in the comments section. “This hurts but I guess its all for laughs.”

Hey, we laughed.

And we also assume we’ll see plenty of Kim going forward, despite this declaration.

She has quite the strong social media presence, having formed somewhat of a partnership with daughter Brielle.

They are always joking and posing together on Instagram and we’d be stunned if they don’t sign up for their own series at some point.

Just two days ago, perhaps in reply to this stage in her life and whatever the future holds, Zolciak wrote online:

Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them.

They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them.

Will you miss her in Atlanta?

Michael Strahan Debuts on Good Morning America: Good Riddance, Ripa!

Michael Strahan is ready to tackle a new challenge.

A few months after his very awkward and contentious exit from Live! with Kelly and Michael, the former New York Giants defensive star made his debut Tuesday as a full-time anchor on Good Morning America.

And while Strahan was basically shown the door in angry fashion by Kelly Ripa back in May, he was welcomed warmly to the morning desk by colleagues George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts this morning.

You can see the opening few moments for yourself below.

They included a few cheers from those on set, behind the scenes:

“This is GMA with RobinRoberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan,” said the voiceover, while Roberts joked that this feels like “the first day of school.”

For many kids around the country, of course, today is the first day of school.

“The only thing I’m missing is my Spider-Man lunchbox,” Strahan joked.

Strahan has appeared numerous times before as a GMA correspondent, but he announced this spring that he was leaving Live to pursue that gig full-time.

Ripa, according to many sources, was not informed of this decision before the public was made aware of the move.

She responded in understandable anger, not showing up for a work for a couple of days out of protest.

When she did finally come back, she and Strahan tried to joke around about the career change, but their interactions were nothing but forced and tense until Strahan’s departure on May 13.

To wit:

In response to this awkward set-up, Strahan moved his exit date way up.

When he originally announced he was leaving Live, Strahan said it would make the switch in September.

But producers couldn’t possibly continue with Ripa and Strahan as co-hosts for much longer, resulting in the latter getting the heck out of there four months earlier than initially planned.

I’m not dying! I’m still in the family!” he said on air upon making the GMA announcement, adding:

“And I’m still available to come back if I’m ever called to co-host so I’m not going anywhere. I’m not gone.”

Yeah. We somehow doubt he’ll ever be called upon for that.

Ripa is yet to announce a permanent replacement for Strahan, following rumors that the two hated each other away from set.

But Strahan is clearly keeping his eyes on the future, not the past.

He will co-anchor the ABC morning show each weekday and he recently told People Magazine of accepting the new position:

“Can’t wait to be there full-time. Great, great family to work with over there, I’m looking forward to it.”

Fair enough.

With our eyes also affixed to the future, above is a look at stars we’d love to see take over Strahan’s old seat alongside Kelly.

Who would your ideal co-host be?
