Abby Lee Miller: Holding Dance Moms Auditions While Undergoing Chemo
Just a couple of weeks ago, Abby Lee Miller teased the return of Dance Moms.
Now, sources are confirming that the series is coming back for an 8th season, starring Miller, who is already looking for fresh-faced new stars.
Not bad for a woman undergoing chemotherapy for cancer just months after getting out of prison, wouldn’t you say?
Yes, if Miller’s own tease (or threat!) that she was coming back to star on more Dance Moms wasn’t enough for you, worry no longer.
A source confirms to Entertainment Tonight that Dance Moms is returning. This will be the show’s 8th season.
And, though Dancing With The Stars pro Cheryl Burke temporarily took the reigns last year, Miller will be back.
If you were hoping for further proof, the Dance Moms casting page is looking for new cast members, ages 7 to 12.
And Miller is in charge.
The page says: “Abby Lee Miller is currently holding auditions for her new ALDC elite competition team.”
Miller is known to have complained about unbearable working situations on Dance Moms in the past, but she has made it clear that this was not the fault of the children.
“I don’t have a problem working with any kid,” Abby wrote. “I love children and have dedicated my life to making other people’s children successful!”
Some have accused of her of being overbearing in dealing with children or of being unpleasant and harsh.
But Miller says that her issue with Dance Moms had less to do with the children and everything to do with male producers.
“I JUST HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BEING MANIPULATED, DISRESPECTED, AND USED,” Miller wrote in all caps.
“DAY IN AND DAY OUT BY MEN WHO NEVER TOOK A DANCE LESSON IN THEIR LIVES,” Miller continued. “AND TREAT WOMEN LIKE DIRT!”
Miller is battling more than producers at the moment, however, which is why this Dance Moms news comes as something of a shock to so many people.
She has Burkitt lymphoma, a type of fast-spreading cancer that threatened to paralyze her just months ago. It was during her first emergency spinal surgery that doctors were able to identify that the “infection” was cancer.
The good news is that Burkitt generally has a 90% recovery rate.
The bad news is that it’s usually found in children, and the recovery rate in adults is said to be lower.
The other good news is that, because Burkitt lymphoma is a fast-spreading cancer, doctors say that it also responds quickly to treatment.
Last month, Abby Lee Miller underwent a second emergency surgery as part of her ongoing cancer battle.
The Dance Moms star even shared a graphic post-op photo, showing how the incision along her spine was healing.
Hopefully, she will not need to undergo any further drastic procedures.
For her sake, and for the sake of her return to the reality series that launched her to fame.
But while we don’t foresee Miller spendng a lot of time flashing her back scars on camera, there’s likely to be one difficult-to-ignore sign of her cancer battle when she starts filming the series in earnest.
In Miller’s most recent photos, she has been covering her head — with hats or towels.
In others, she simply keeps her hair out of the camera’s view.
Recently, she posted “Hair today, gone tomorrow” to her Instagram captions, warning followes that she anticipated hair loss as she undergoes chemotherapy treatments.
Many fans expect that she will wear wigs while on Dance Moms.
But it is indisputably better to lose your hair for a little while than to lose your life.
It also remains unclear how much of Miller’s cancer battle will be addressed on the series. It may be that she is soon cancer-free.

Charlie Sheen: Undergoing Life-Saving Detox?
For fans who enjoyed the image of Charlie Sheen as one of the last of Hollywood’s hard-living rebels, reality came crashing down hard when it was revealed last year that the actor suffers from HIV.
Sheen is as famous for his decades of partying and bedding famous women as he is for his acting career, but the diagnosis served as a reminder that the self-proclaimed warlock from Mars is, in fact, quite human.
Sheen has undergone controversial treatments for his condition, often eschewing traditional medical practices, only to return to them when his symptoms worsen.
But that’s not the only way in which Sheen is his own worst enemy when it comes to his health.
One of Sheen’s doctors recently stated that he’s more concerned with the actor’s reliance on self-medication to cope with the stress of the illness than with the illness itself.
It seems the physician is not alone, as Sheen’s famous family is reportedly deeply worried about his heavy drinking and drug use.
Radar Online is reporting today that Sheen is undergoing detox treatment at his father’s Malibu home after nearly dying during a recent bender.
It seems Sheen’s party partner of choice these days is actor Tony Todd, and the two of them have been hitting the bottle non-stop in recent weeks.
Last week, Todd left Los Angeles last week for a gig, and Charlie’s family reportedly leapt at the chance to
“His parents jumped at the opportunity to have Charlie alone,” an insider tells Radar.
“They asked him to come out and do a detox at their house in Malibu. With his friends out of the picture they thought this would be the perfect time.”
Martin Sheen and his wife are said to be sparing no expense and taking no chances in their efforts to sober Charlie up.
The Sheens’ residence is reportedly equipped with “around-the-clock RNs to monitor him and make sure he stays put.”
“They give him vitamins in an IV as well as Valium and a few other drugs so he does not have ‘the shakes’ or a seizure from coming off all these months of alcohol,” says the source.
The insider adds that Sheen’s parents are doing what they can to make the experience as painless as possible for Charlie, saying:
“He’s just binge watching TV shows and sleeping all day and night while his mother cooks him.”
Though it’s early in the process, the source says all involved are hopeful with regard to Sheen’s prospects of staying sober.
“He is doing well,” the insider notes.
“The hope is that this time the treatment will work. He has had friends try this several times over the years — but it has never stuck.”

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West: Undergoing "Extreme" Couples Counseling?
While it’s true that Kim Kardashian-Kanye West divorce rumors have been circulating pretty much since the day the couple got hitched, this time around there’s real reason to believe that Kimye may soon be a thing of the past.
Sources have confirmed that Kim and Kanye lived in separate homes for a brief period following his hospitalization for psychiatric issues.
These days, it appears that the Wests are once again cohabiting, but that doesn’t mean they’re out of the woods just yet.
In fact, it seems that Kim and Kanye are having such a tough time lately that they’ve been undergoing an “extreme” form of couples counseling in a last-ditch effort to save their struggling marriage.
“They’re having twice-weekly sessions, plus a third session on their own, each of which costs $ 1,000 a pop,” a source close to the couple tells Radar Online.
On top of the frequent face-to-face sessions, Kim and Yeezy have reportedly been taking full advantage of their therapist’s 24-hour stand-by services.
“Their on-call therapist is available 24/7, which doesn’t come cheap, but she’s also available via Skype if they’re out of town,” says the insider.
Not surprisingly, that sort of round-the-clock help doesn’t come cheap:
“The help is costing them $ 4,000 a week for the four sessions and another $ 1,000 every time there’s an off-hours query,” the source adds.
Yes, $ 1,000 for a phone call.
At that rate, most folks would hold off unless there was some sort of serious emergency, but this is Kanye we’re talking about.
You know he’s making the call every time Kim forgets to tell him how dope his leather sweat pants are.
The whole situation sounds extreme, but apparently Kim and Kanye’s problems are serious enough to justify this approach.
The insider says Kim nearly reached her breaking point when she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris back in October.
Kanye was reportedly not as supportive as Kim needed him to be, and she was forced to finally come clean about a litany of complaints that she had been keeping to herself.
“They have a lot of issues to work through and Kanye’s in total shock at just how unhappy Kim’s been,” said the source.
“He’s had his head in the clouds.”
Head in the clouds? Kanye?
We simply can’t believe that.

Caitlyn Jenner: Undergoing Surgery to Fix Botched Boob Job?
Caitlyn Jenner has been having a rough couple of weeks.
First came word that her reality show, I Am Cait, had been canceled by E! after just two seasons.
Shortly thereafter, the former Olympian found herself at the center of an unexpected controversy after Bette Midler made a tasteless joke at Jenner’s expense on Twitter.
(Midler later deleted the tweet and issued a public apology.)
Now, perhaps as a result of the back-to-back blows to her self-esteem, Jenner is reportedly considering undergoing surgery to correct what she sees as a defect in her breast implants:
“She’s going back under the knife to have them adjusted,” an insider revealed to RadarOnline.com.
“Caitlyn thinks one is now hanging lower than the other and she’s not happy about it.”
Apparently, Jenner has been unhappy with the implants for quite some time, and this is not her first attempt at “fixing” them:
“At first they were too small, then too big and heavy — and she’s very upset about the scarring,”
The insider seems to feel that Jenner’s concerns are baseless and symptomatic of the flaws in how Jenner perceives herself, not in her actual appearance.
However, another source believes that Jenner is right to press on in her pursuit of perfection:
“All she wants are natural-looking breasts that are big enough to off-set her masculine frame,” says the unnamed friend.
“Considering the amount of money she’s spent on them, it’s the least she should be able to expect.”
It’s true that Jenner has the means to go back under the knife, and now that her show has been axed, she certainly has the time.
But hopefully, she hasn’t developed an unhealthy fixation with plastic surgery.
We imagine all those years as a member of the Kardashian clan can have a lasting impact on a person.
