Travis Scott: Did He Delete a Transgender Model From His Album Art?
Travis Scott’s new album, Astroworld, came out on Friday. With it, of course, came the album art.
But the final album cover seemed to have erased a transgender model who appeared in an earlier version.
This has left a number of fans wondering if Travis Scott has a problem with the transgender community. If so … yikes.
Reports say that Travis Scott is planning to propose to Kylie very soon.
Whether or not that’s true, he probably wants to maintain a close relationship with her family.
That would include her father, Caitlyn Jenner, who is the most famous trans woman on the planet.
So why, some wonder, does the final version of his Astroworld album art seem to have conveniently excluded transgender model and performance artist Amanda Lepore?
Here is the version that Travis shared with the world.
That’s quite the image, depicting some sort of naughty erotic amusement park that might perhaps be entered through Travis’ own mouth.
It’s odd and salacious, but perhaps no one would have ever known that anyone was missing had Amanda Lepore not shared it herself.
“It was great being part of @david_lachapelle’s incredible photograph of @travisscott’s albulm cover,” Amanda wrote on Instagram.
“But,” Amanda continues. “I’m curious why I’m not on the picture @travisscott posted.”
Along with her comments, she included a look at the original.
We’re not going to make you spot the difference — if you see her, off to the left, she’s just about mooning the camera. But not in the version that Travis shared.
“A girl can’t help it!” Amanda writes. “Too distracting for the eyes!”
Her theory, which she shares in the captions, is that she must have “upstaged everyone in the photograph!”
“Oh well………..” she writes to show that there is no ill will, adding: “I love @david_lachapelle and @travisscott! Love and kisses”
But what’s the real story?
A number of people, including celebrities within the LGBTQ+ community, were shocked and saddened to see that Amanda had been excluded.
Some commenters came right out and suggested that perhaps Travis Scott had personally ordered that Amanda be scrubbed from the image.
Honestly, that’s a major assumption — especially knowing that many artists may have their album art changed without their knowledge.
Fortunately, the photographer himself came forward to explain what had happened.
“Amanda was taken out because she just upstaged everyone,” Dave LaChapelle writes, adding: “Lol.”
LaChapelle continued, affirming Amanda’s value as a model and performance artist.
“She is in my books and my heart,” LaChapelle writes. “She knows the T.”
T is a slang expression for truth, one particularly common within the LGBTQ+ community and also within African American Vernacular English.
LaChepelle was dismissive of accusations of bigotry.
“Everybody wants to explain everything with some phobia or whatever,” LaChapelle writes under another comment.
LaChapelle adds: “Ain’t notihing to do with hating.”
In fact, TMZ reports that Travis Scott didn’t delete Amanda from his cover. In fact, he apparently didn’t even know about the earlier version.
Sometimes artistic choices can accidentally look really positive or really negative when they’re just based upon the aesthetic of a photograph.
So, is this likely to get Travis in trouble with Caitlyn?
Probably not, actually.
For one thing, Cait may have caused trouble for the Kardashians, but Kylie is her youngest. We don’t know how willing she would be to stir thet pot.
But beyond that, Amanda Lepore is a performance artist. Amanda’s look is about more than just gender expression — it’s art in and of itself.
That’s a little different than the vast majority of transgender folks. Some have suggested that Cait wouldn’t race to defend Amanda’s honor because Amanda is outside of the mainstream.
But we can’t speak to Caitlyn Jenner’s thoughts or feelings on the matter until she actually comments. If she even chooses to do so.

Transgender Model Spent $75,000 to Look Like Kylie Jenner
Who is Kylie Jenner to you? A reality star from a famous family? A wealthy makeup mogul? A new mother who just gave birth at the beginning of the month?
To one trans woman, Kylie is an inspiration.
Kyleigh Potts is a model who’s spent $ 75,000 on 40 different procedures to look more and more like Kylie Jenner.
Kyleigh Potts tells The Daily Mail that she started using lip fillers a few years ago. Since then, she’s had 40 different procedures in order to attain her current look.
“I have spent the last four years perfecting my transition into the beautiful woman I always knew I was.”
Though she’s been intrigued by plastic surgery since well before her transition, Kyleigh points to the young reality star as her real inspiration.
“Kylie Jenner has always been my ultimate goal and inspiration, I feel like I have always emulated her and like her I didn’t start out beautiful, I built myself beautiful.”
You have to remember that, for the first few years of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kylie faced nearly as many insults about her appearance as Khloe did.
And then Kylie got hot. More than that, she redesigned her body to look how she wanted it to. That really struck a chord with Kyleigh.
“When I saw her come into herself and transform from the ugly duckling to the b—h everybody wants to be – every girl wants to be her, and every guy wants to sleep with her.”
Well, everybody wants her bank account, anyway. Not sure that everybody wants to quantum leap into a 20-year-old mother.
“I resonated with that, I always thought I was unattractive, ugly and never enough through the trauma of being bullied that I found confidence through altering myself.”
Kyleigh, who chose to disclose that her deadname was Kyle Leigh — which is just incredibly serendipitous — talks about how she began undergoing procedures.
“I turned to dermal fillers in attempts to make everything better, I spent my first two years doing that extensively to the point where my lips were huge.”
Her lips are still pretty huge, actually.
“My facial structure is very similar to hers, when I had my recent surgeries they asked me to bring in pictures of my inspiration and desired look, every image was of Kylie Jenner.”
Go big or go home. And, speaking of going big. …
“I found Dolly Parton’s plastic surgeon, because I wanted the biggest breasts possible, to feminise my face by making my chin more rounded and alter my nose to look like Kylie’s.”
And she talks about exactly how far she went with her breasts.
“‘I went from no breasts at all, only developing small tissue from hormones, to 650cc implants that have given me 34DDD breasts.”
She says that the link between herself and Kylie has increased over the years.
“People tell me I look like Kylie Jenner a lot, it was always a joke among my friends and I refer to myself as King Kyleigh, I even have it tattooed on my bicep.”
We don’t know that we’d say that she actually looks like Kylie most of the time, but we’re glad that Kyleigh’s out there living her best life.
She is accustomed to getting a reaction in public, however.
“Whenever I go grocery shopping everyone’s heads turn that happens no matter what, I don’t pay a lot of attention to it – I’m used to walking into somewhere and having the whole room stare at me.”
Maybe we’ll one day live in a world where people aren’t so hung up on the appearances of strangers.
Though it’s no one’s business, Kyleigh has shared that she’s keeping her penis. Not all trans people want to play surgical roulette with their genitals. Not all trans folks experience dysphoria related to their genitals.
“Unlike most transgender women, I am proud of the fact that I have male genitalia, I never wish to change them.”
Gender is who you are, not whether you stand or sit in the privacy of a bathroom stall.
“My doctors tailor my hormones so there is a high-enough testosterone level to allow me to still use my male genitalia during sex.”
It’s good that she can be herself and continue to live her life. Sadly, some trans folks feel forced to choose.
“I have no plans to remove them, there are too many constraints on gender where people believe they have to choose male or female.”
On Instagram, Kyleigh has shared a number of throwbacks of how her figure looked before surgery. This photo is one of them.
Also taking to Instagram, she has thanked her mother for helping her to transform her body.
“This Christmas I’d like to thank my Mother for going out of her way and making my surgeries a possibility, for helping me become me.”
It’s wonderful that she’s found support from her family and friends.
Obviously, Kyleigh Potts is an outlier among trans women. After all, for most women, the quest to be yourself doesn’t involve molding yourself to be more like someone else.
But it’s wonderful that she’s living her dreams.
Kylie Jenner is living some very different dreams these days.

Derick Dillard Just Went After Transgender People Again
Now that he"s been fired from TLC, Derick Dillard has a lot of free time on his hands.
And the controversial reality star is using said free time to do what got him fired in the first place:
Heartlessly attack transgender individuals at every opportunity.
Yes, just as Dillard went after Jazz Jennings in a series of bigoted Tweets, the former Counting On cast member has once again set his sights on the LGBT community.

Earlier this week, Dillard shared footage on his Facebook page of transgender singer Laura Jane Grace teaching kids about gender identity.

These responses do make us wonder why these people were “Friends” with Derick to begin with. But at least they aren’t holding back.

Transgender Model SLAMS Briana Renee, Estranged Husband as Totally Dysfunctional"
As previously detailed, Briana Renee and Matt Grundhoffer are getting a divorce.
News of this split comes as a surprise to exactly no one who has been following the private life of the Little Women: LA star and her mate.
But it’s an especially obvious and welcome development to a transgender model named Plastic Martyr.
(Editor’s Note: We somehow doubt this is her real name.)
In response to Renee confirming she is finally leaving Grundhoffer, following many months of contention as a result of the latter’s admitted infidelity, Martyr slammed the estranged couple when asked to comment by Radar Online.
“If this isn’t all done for most publicity – because they are delusional and attention-hungry – then I say bravo,” the 28-year old said.
She then exclaimed triumphantly:
“The most dysfunctional relationship is over!”

But whatever feelings Renee’s husband apparently had for the model are most definitely NOT reciprocated.
In this same Radar interview, she refers to Grundhoffer as a “cheating son of a bitch” who “fetishized” her with his disgusting messages.
While it may be clear that Renee and Grundhoffer were not meant to be, their divorce is still unfortunate for one very precious reason:
The stars are parents to a 16-month old son.
They each also have a child from previous relationships that they had been raising together, which explains why the two are actually still living in the same house.
While sleeping in separate bedrooms, Briana and Matt are trying to figure out how to best move ahead with their break-up without damaging these children.
But Martyr doesn’t have any sympathy.
She says Renee “will do anything and step on anyone to get ahead.”
It’s unclear why she has such a harsh opinion of the short Lifetime star, but her connection with Grundhoffer goes back to July of 2016.
During that time, he sent the model naked photos and made sexual advances toward her via Insgtagram.
Shortly afterward, Plastic guest-starred on the reality show and got into a pretty heated argument with Tonya Banks.
It certainly sounds as if Renee and Grundhoffer are making the right decision in going their separate ways, but a friend of the couple doesn’t think the split will last.
This person tells Radar:
“She’ll back with him a week. She can’t stand to be alone.”

Derick Dillard: Officially Axed by TLC Over Transgender Comments
Derick Dillard is persona non grata at TLC.
The network has gone ahead and made this official.
Back in August, the 28-year old husband of Jill Duggar made headlines when he attacked 17-year old transgender Jazz Jennings, who, like Derick’s wife and her family, has a show on TLC.
Seemingly unprompted by anything other than the fact that Jennings stars on I Am Jazz, Dillard wrote on Instagram at the time:
“What an oxymoron… a ‘reality’ show which follows a non-reality. ‘Transgender’ is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it’s ordained by God.”
Jennings mostly took the high road in response, labeling Dillard a cyberbully and saying that she’s unfortunately accustomed to remarks from people such as him.
Fast forward to late last week and Derick was at it again, writing the following on Twitter:
I pity Jazz, 4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child.
It’s sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way.
Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what’s on TV these days.
Ah yes, the classing “nothing against” the person whose lifestyle one thinks is sinful and shameful.
Derick added that “never bullied anyone,” but “just said I didn’t agree with what is being propagated on TV” and is “expressing my view of what should be treated as reality; if I say I feel like I am Nepali, that doesn’t make me so.”
In response to this most recent attack Jazz did not mention Derick by name.
But tweeted on Saturday:
“In the face of constant ignorance and hatred I prefer to disregard negative opinions and continue moving forward with love.”
TLC, meanwhile, was not as even-handed in its latest statement.
On its official Twitter account, the cable network wrote this:
We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future.
We want to reiterate that Derick’s personal statements do not reflect the views of the network.
TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so.
Some Duggar/Dillard fans, naturally, have fired back, claiming Derick is simply exercising his right to “free speech.”
Which is true. He’s not about to be imprisoned for his view.
But the right to free speech doesn’t mean one can say absolutely anything without any consequences.
The general future of Counting On remains unclear.
There has been chatter of late that the series may not return for a new season, largely due to Dillard’s ongoing controversial comments.
