Oscar Pistorius Found Guilty of Murder; Olympian Could Face 15 Years in Prison

Back in September of 2014 millions were outraged when Olympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius was found guilty of culpable homicide in the death of his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp.

The charge is the South African equivalent of manslaughter, and the verdict essentially absolved Pistorius of the crime of knowingly murdering Steenkamp while she hid in the bathroom of his home, fearing for her life.

Culpable homicide carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison, and Pistorius was released in October after serving less than 12 months.

Today, however, a South African appeals court overturned a lower court’s ruling and found Pistorius guilty of homicide.

The 29-year-old Olympian will now be headed back to prison for a minimum sentence of 15 years.

“This case involves a human tragedy of Shakespearean proportions,” Judge Eric Leach said while announcing the court’s verdict.

“A young man overcomes huge physical disabilities to reach Olympic heights as an athlete; in doing so he becomes an international celebrity; he meets a young woman of great natural beauty and a successful model; romance blossoms; and then, ironically on Valentine’s Day, all is destroyed when he takes her life.”

Lawyers for Pistorius will appeal the decision, but it seems almost certain that Pistorius will be headed back to prison.

No date has been set for Pistorius’ sentencing hearing, and he will reportedly remain under house arrest until then.

Kanye West: BANNING Kris Jenner From Kim Kardashian"s Delivery Room?!

Kim Kardashian may give birth any day now, but that doesn’t mean that she and hubby Kanye West are prepared to welcome baby number two just yet.

Not only have Kim and Kanye not picked out a name, it seems they can’t even agree on who should be in the delivery room!

Specifically, Kanye doesn’t want Kris Jenner to witness the birth, because he knows she’ll be tweeting out details before the umbilical cord is snipped.

“Kanye doesn’t want Kris to spill all of the details about his son’s birth the way she did when North was born,” a source close to the family tells Radar Online.

Kanye has reportedly also put his foot down with regard to Kris’ plans to have the delivery filmed for a special episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“He is afraid that it is a security threat to have all of their personal details, like how they get in and out of the hospital, out there. And Kris spills everything,” the insider says. “So he’s told her that he doesn’t even want it filmed for the show.”

The source says Kanye and Kris tend to agree on most issues, but Kris’ efforts to cash in on Lamar Odom’s overdose caused a first between mother- and son-in-law, and now Yeezy is very wary of Kim’s opportunistic momager.

Unfortunately, it seems that despite Kim’s delivery anxiety, she’s totally on board with the idea of filming the birth, so Kanye might be out-voted:

“Kim wants to film her son’s birth. She is so excited about it, especially if it happens on Christmas and she loves sharing every detail of her life, even if Kanye doesn’t,” says the insider.

If the son of Yeezus ends up sharing a birthday with Jesus, there’s no way Kanye will be able to resist televising the delivery.

In fact, he’s probably already assembling the best manger scene of all time. The best of all time!!!

Kris Jenner to Kylie: Cover Your A--!

Kids these days, posing for photos in leather chaps and cavorting around sets with professional photographers.

By now, everyone has seen the photos from Kylie Jenner’s December/January cover of Interview Magazine. It’s saucy, it’s controversial, and it’s “so Kylie,” according to Kris Jenner.

“Steven Klein shot this, and he’s so iconic and amazing,” Jenner told Maria Menounos during a SiriusXM interview.  “She gets to work with him and express herself. And that’s what she loves. I think they’re great. I think they’re beautiful and artistic.

Kris, however, would have preferred that the 18-year-old not wear assless chaps, but you can’t win them all (said no mom ever).

“I think she could have covered her bum a little bit more,” Kris admitted.  “But it’s just so cool, it’s almost like she’s doll-like.”

“She’s wild,” Jenner added.  “And this is how she expresses herself so I think it’s great. She’s definitely somebody who’s got a great head on her shoulders she’s such a good person and she such a great girl with a big heart, so I don’t worry about that side of her.

“She is a very artistic girl, where she thinks outside the box and she really pushes the envelope and she’s very edgy.” 

Don’t worry, though, cuz Kylie’s doing her thing, marching to the beat of her own drum and whatnot.

“She’s always been like that and she doesn’t do it in a bad way or ‘I’m going to be the rebel,’ Kris insisted.   “That’s not really who she ever was.

“I can give her lots of advice, which she usually takes,” Kris continued.  “She does worry about influencing kids that are younger and not wanting to be a bad influence.

“The sexy photos are just Kylie saying ‘Hey this was really creative, and this was how I was feeling this day and isn’t it cool."”

Huh?

While we’re on awkward subjects, what’s the 411 with Kylie and Tyga?

“I have no idea,” Kris said.  “I really don’t know. Things at my house happen on a daily, anything’s possible.”

“I love Tyga, he’s great,” she added.  “He’s the best.”

Ah, youth.

Scott Disick: Moving Back in With Kourtney Kardashian?!

When Scott Disick first started his campaign to try and win Kourtney Kardashian back, it seemed like the Lord had finally taken on a challenge in which he wouldn’t be able to use his smarmy charm to get what he wants.

Remarkably, however, it seems that Kourtney is actually considering giving her 32-year-old baby daddy yet another chance to prove that he has what it takes to be a responsible father and partner.

Earlier this week, we reported that Kourtney may have already taken Scott back after he proved to her that he’s able to string together a few days of sobriety. 

Many fans (and probably most members of Kourtney’s family) hoped it was just a rumor, but now, Radar Online is reporting that Scott has moved back in with Kourtney, and the troubled couple is tentatively giving their relationship another go.

“He is going to move back in with Kourtney and the kids, even if it is in a separate part of the house for now,” an insider tells the website.

Yes, it seems Scott will be living in a separate wing of Kourtney’s sprawling home, but it’s still a step toward reconciliation.

The source says Scott was permitted to move back only after he sold the Beverly Hills bachelor pad that he’d purchased after Kourtney kicked him to the curb.

Kourtney reportedly saw the home as a symbol of Scott’s hard-partying, and she insisted that he get rid of it before re-joining his family, even if he had to sell it for a loss.

Of course, the Lord being the Lord, he managed to turn a profit on the place.

Now let’s see if he’ll be as lucky when it comes to the considerably more difficult task of weaseling his way back into Kourtney’s heart.
