Nick Wiltgen, Weather Channel Meteorologist, Dead of Apparent Suicide

Nick Wiltgen, a senior digital meteorologist at The Weather Channel, was killed in a car crash inside an Atlanta mall parking garage on Sunday evening.

He was 39 years old.

According to the police report, Wiltgen drove his Volkswagen convertible “at a high rate of speed” through the wall of this garage, passing away at 5:30 p.m. of cranial trauma.

Tami Sedivy-Schroder of the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office says that “evidence gathered in the investigation indicated it was a suicide.”

Wiltgen became a part of The Weather Channel team as a radio forecaster in 2001 after graduating from the University of Nebraska.

Fellow meteorologist and Weather Channel colleague Jim Cantore mourned Wiltgen’s passing on Twitter last night.

“We lost part of our TWC family,” Cantore wrote, referring to Wiltgen as “a wonderful man and one of the best meteorologists I’ve ever known.”

Al Roker of The Today Show also chimed in via Twitter with a message of shock and grief, writing:

“Thoughts and prayers to Nick Wiltgen’s family. Such a part of @weatherchannel His smile, expertise and camaraderie will be missed.”

In his final professional act, Wiltgen helped write a roundup of snowstorm news published Sunday morning.

Cameron Clayton, the president of product and technology at The Weather Company, said in a statement that Wiltgen was a “treasured member” of the channel’s staff.

We send our condolences to his friends, family members and loved ones.

Chelsea Houska & Cole DeBoer: Will Their Wedding Be Televised?

Back in November, we reported that Chelsea Houska is engaged to Cole DeBoer.

The news came as a welcome surprise to Teen Mom fans who have witnessed the astonishing jackassery of Chelsea’s baby daddy Adam Lind.

(Lind went on a racist rant on social media over the weekend to remind everyone one of what a douche he is, just in case you forgot.)

Chelsea’s long been one of the most stable and most beloved members of the Teen Mom roster, so seeing her finally find happiness with a guy who’s worthy of her has been a joy for fans.

Unfortunately, it looks like we’re not invited to the wedding, y’all.

Asked by a fan recently if the wedding would be televised, Chelsea replied simply, “It will not.”

“Chelsea wants her wedding to be very private and low-key,” says one insider.

“MTV is begging her to let them film it but Chelsea refuses. She usually stands firm on stuff like this, so it’s unlikely that she’ll change her mind. Besides, Cole has never really been comfortable doing things on-camera.”

The recent Catelynn Lowell-Tyler Baltiera wedding was a ratings bonanza for MTV, so it’s safe to say Chelsea turned a pretty penny to allow a Teen Mom camera crew at her nuptials.

But fear not, fans.

Amber Portwood and Matt Baier are engaged and are reportedly planning to tie the knot around the same time, so there may be a televised wedding in the near future after all!

Watch Teen Mom 2 online to relive the many ups and downs of Chelsea’s love life.

Tess Holliday: Pregnant with Baby #2!

Congratulations are in order for Tess Holliday.

The outspoken plus-sized model is expecting her second child!

“It definitely was not planned and I was a little nervous when I first found out, but I’m excited!” Holliday tells People of getting pregnant again by her fiance, Nick.

Holliday has a 10-year-old son named Rylee from a previous relationship, so it’s been awhile since she changed any diapers.

But she says she’s looking forward to having a newborn again.

“When I had my son, I was 20 and I didn’t know what I was doing and I didn’t have help.

“I’m really excited to be doing it again and have support, and be able to enjoy having a baby, because I couldn’t last time.”

The 30-year-old beauty, who has famously built her career as the first size-22 signed model, adds that her son is hoping for a brother.

Nick doesn’t care about the gender, just that this marks the perfect opportunity to complete the couple’s family.

“I think it really solidifies the two halves of our family coming together,” Holliday says. “It will be nice to have the family more blended.”

We send our very best wishes to Tess Holliday and hope she has a safe, relatively easy pregnancy.

Jennifer Garner: Fighting to Win Ben Affleck Back?!

It’s been almost seven months since Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck called it quits, but the couple is still ripping the Band-Aid off very, very slowly.

The Afflecks have been spotted together in public multiple times in recent weeks; they reportedly still live on the same property (Ben has moved to the guesthouse); and they’ve even attended couples counseling together.

Unfortunately, it seems none of that has brought them closer to calling off their still-pending divorce. Nevertheless, Jen apparently remains optimistic.

“Jen really thinks there is a chance they can fix their relationship,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online

“Ben’s being good and not going out in public much these days, so she has this glimmer of hope they can make it work.”

Of course, just because he’s no longer hitting clubs and picking up chicks with Jon Hamm, that doesn’t mean Ben is ready to assume the role of family man again.

“He wants nothing to do with getting back together,” says the insider.

Yes, Ben seems to be enjoying every second of the single life.

His career is taking off like never before, and he’s rumored to be dating Sienna Miller

All this, and he’s still living just a stone’s throw from his kids and his estranged wife who probably still offers him killer deals on Capital One airline miles.

We call that a win-win.
