Cardi B & Offset: Televised Wedding Could Be Worth $1 Million!
Weddings are complicated. You have to pick the date, the venue, the menu, the seating arrangement, the decorations, the cake, …
Oh, and which million-dollar deal you’ll make for your wedding to also be a TV special.
That’s what Cardi B and her new fiance, Offset, are trying to decide.
We know that they say that your average little girl grows up dreaming about her wedding day, which says a lot about how weirdly people socialize their children.
But the actual planning of your wedding doesn’t usually happen until you’re engaged.
And even then, unless you’re part of the Duggar fertility cult or something like that, those “plans” usually take the form of vague notions during your engagement.
Not so for Cardi B and Offset, it seems.
Cardi B, of course, is the rapper whose smash hit, “Bodak Yellow,” managed to upset Taylor Swift’s domination of the music world.
Offset might sound like a name out of The Handmaid’s Tale, but he’s actually a hip-hop artist.
And he’s now engaged to Cardi B, having proposed to her just last week.
(Proposing to her while her career is at its height — good for them, you know?)
On Friday night, Offset got down on one knee and proposed to Cardi B.
They were on stage at the Philly Powerhouse performance.
Even though Cardi B had briefly posted that she was “single” just a week before revising that, she said yes.
Some fans are concerned.
For one thing, Offset might be trying to boost his career by latching onto hers. Her career, in the meantime, might suffer.
For another, public proposals are actually super creepy — unless you talk about them in advance.
The genuine surprise proposals made in the middle of a restaurant or on stage or in front of friends and family … those often feel like the one who planned it is blackmailing the other person into saying yes, for politeness’ sake.
Not everyone who does something like that is trying to be manipulative, of course, but there are some men who know what they’re doing when they pull that move.
Finally, fans are a little alarmed that a relationship that had briefly seemed over the previous week had suddenly become an engagement.
Regardless, though, a Cardi B wedding is going to be a big deal.
TMZ reports that a Cardi B and Offset wedding special is being pursued by VH1, BET, and WE tv.
Apparently, each network is vying to win a chance to turn the couple’s future wedding into a TV special.
The potential entertainment value for these channels and for their viewers is obvious.
For Cardi B and Offset? They could be making a deal worth as much as $ 1 million.
They’ll have to decide which network — if any — they want poking around their special day. There’s a lot to consider.
But … that’s a great situation to be in, right?
First of all, that’s an amazing deal. The inconvenience of cameras is no big deal compared to getting paid as much as seven figures for doing something that you can do anyway.
Also, weddings are pretty darn expensive. Celebrity weddings even more so.
A big payday for a special like this could really make a difference.
In fact, you might even say that the cost of this couple’s wedding might be … offset.
(Sorry)

Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi: Will Their Wedding Be Televised?!?
Nick Viall chose Vanessa Grimaldi as the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his fifteen minutes of fame with, but does that mean they’re going forward with a televised wedding?
Surprisingly, it seems like there’s a possibility the duo could keep their wedding behind closed doors and well away from the reality TV cameras.
Nick opened up to Mario Lopez about the potential wedding and the fact that a lot of Bachelor Nation couples don’t make it down the aisle.
“There’s always a possibility. The thing about the wedding shows is that there’s a lot of Bachelor engaged couples — they don’t always do weddings.”
It’s very true, but also pretty refreshing that they are not rushing into things. It would be easy to plan the wedding and have it completed swiftly, but the couple wants to ensure they are in their relationship for the right reasons.
“Vanessa and I are just focused on our relationship — when we decide it’s time for us to take that next step, we’re just going to plan a wedding, and if the show wants us, great, and if not … We’re not really focused on whether it’s going to be televised or not.”
His comments definitely leave hope for the wedding to be televised, but it kind of makes us think he’s saying if the opportunity arises, and the timing is right, he will do it.
Nick has become a staple of ABC’s reality TV slate, appearing on two seasons of The Bachelorette, one season of The Bachelor and one season of Dancing With the Stars.
Now, there have been rumors that Nick and Vanessa’s relationship had already hit the rocks, but Nick’s comments should help shut the naysayers up.
What do you think about this?
Would you watch a televised wedding?

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson Wedding: Will It Be Televised?
Prepare yourselves, universe:
Kardashompson may soon be a real, legal thing.
According to a couple new tabloid reports, Khloe Kardashian officially changed her last name a few days ago with one goal in mind and one goal online:
To get married again!
Kardashian and Lamar Odom finalized their divorce in the fall of 2016.
But Khloe didn’t axe her ex-husband’s last name from her full name until last week, after which Khloe’s family threw her a mini party… with a cake and everything!
This may not have made any headlines or come across like a huge deal, if not for the fact that Khloe is in a serious relationship with Tristan Thompson.
Now that she’s divorced and isn’t associated with Odom in any way, shape or form, it’s only natural for many to wonder:
Might a Khloe and Tristan engagement soon be on the way?
“[Khloe would] be happy about an engagement,” an insider tells Us Weekly, explaining why she’s so satisfied with her current boyfriend;
“Tristan is unbelievably good to her. Khloé didn’t think she was ever going to have [that connection] again after Lamar.”
How loved one feel if Khloe walked down the aisle with the Cleveland Cavaliers power forward?
“The family loves Tristan and wants to see this work,” adds this same magazine source.
During an interview with Extra last month. Kardashian was asked whether Thompson might be The One and answered as follows:
“I am in love with him. I think he’s, like, the best. So, I think so. Only time will tell….I think that’s why we are in relationships – to find the one.”
Khloe, of course, has quite a history of dating men who make a living on the hardwood.
She was involved with James Harden after breaking things off with Odom. And now it’s on to a key member of the defending NBA champions.
Another recent report alleged that not only might Khloe and Thompson get married, but they might do so on television.
And then Kardashian might get pregnant!
“Khloe’s in the process of freezing her eggs,” a source recently claimed to Radar Online, hinting that Khloe is open to In Vitro Fertilization.
Why would she not have children the more natural way? She might.
But Thompson is only 25 years old and his ex-girlfriend gave birth in December to his first child.
“She’s playing it safe and putting her eggs away for safekeeping until Tristan is ready to put his partying behind him and become a dad [again],” Radar added in its article on the topic.
Fair enough.
The real question here is simply whether this couple is truly in it for the long haul.
Will Kardashian and Thompson get married? Or will the latter soon be grouped with the many athletes listed above?

Ben and Lauren Season 1 Episode 2 Recap: A Televised Wedding?
If you’re a huge fan of The Bachelor franchise, you’ll know that not very many of the couples actually make it to the altar.
The ones that do actually make it there, don’t really last all that long.
It sucks, but some of the relationships just can’t last without the cameras rolling and intervening producers to manipulate things.
For Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, we’ve been wondering whether they will actually make it to the altar.
If you recall, Lauren has been jealous of the way JoJo just calls on Ben to go to events.
Clearly, these events are orchestrated by the producers who want to try and fill an episode.
We picked up in the restaurant at the awkward dinner date with Ben, Lauren, JoJo and Jordan.
The place was empty.
It was hard to figure out whether it was a set, or if the producers had just picked the place with the most one star reviews on Trip Advisor.
The whole thing was completely awkward. Like, no one was talking at first.
It sort of seemed like no one even knew why they were there, but when the conversation started, it was pretty clear that there was nothing there between Ben and JoJo.
JoJo apologized for always talking about Ben during her season of The Bachelorette.
Lauren was understandably ecstatic by all of this.
Sometime later, Chris Harrison showed up on the scene and offered Ben and Lauren the opportunity to have their wedding paid for and televised.
This was met with a warm reception from Lauren, who was quick to accept the offer.
However, Ben was not on board and needed some time to think.
It was almost like he was having doubts about his relationship with Lauren, so he turned to his friends and family to get their two cents on the matter.
Most family members seemed to be on board with it, but Ben just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off about the whole thing.
Maybe he didn’t want to take the predictable route and go with the televised wedding, but from a financial standpoint, it would make sense to do it.
It would make their huge fan base happy to watch them being married in a perfect wedding on television.
The couple tried to move on without bringing the TV deal up, but it reared its ugly head before the episode was over.
The chat went surprisingly well and Lauren put Ben’s fears to bed.
He knew they were both in it for the right reasons and that’s why they confirmed they would be taking the TV deal.
The preview at the close of the episode was more interesting than the episode itself.
Chad Johnson is guest starring and there will be fireworks.
Thus far, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? has been a rather pointless way to expand The Bachelor franchise, but having bad Chad back on our screens again will no doubt make things infinitely better.

Jinger Duggar-Jeremy Vuolo Wedding to Be Televised?
Earlier this week, we learned that Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo got engaged after just a few weeks of courting.
We knew that Jinger’s courtship would be the focus of the upcoming season of Jill & Jessa: Counting On (premiering August 23), but now it looks as though her relationship will play an even larger role in the series than we thought.
With Season 2 of the show already in the can, sources are now saying that Season 3 will focus on the build up to Jinger and Jeremy’s nuptials.
And naturally, the whole thing will culminate in a season finale wedding ceremony.
The Duggars are no strangers to televised weddings, with older sister Jessa and Jill’s ceremonies both being featured on the family’s previous reality series, 19 Kids and Counting.
But the notion of centering an entire season around the planning of a ceremony and reception is a new one.
And one that fans are likely to eat up.
Weddings are big business in the world of reality television, and the Duggars need a sensationally popular season to silence critics and assure TLC execs that their show is worth the risk.
The first full season of Counting On saw advertisers cutting ties with the network after learning that their commercials were airing during its broadcast.
The family remains a source of constant controversy as a result of the Josh Duggar sex scandals, and many have called for a boycott of TLC.
Would a highly-publicized wedding be enough to start the slow rebuilding of the family’s reputation?
Almost certainly not, but Duggars are getting desperate.

Josh Duggar to Offer Televised Apology For Sex Scandals?!
Back when it was first announced that TLC would be picking up a full season of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, the network assured viewers that disgraced eldest son Josh Duggar would not be appearing on the show.
However, now that execs have ordered a second season of Counting On, but failed to offer a similar guarantee, some fans are growing concerned that they may be subjected to a televised Josh apology tour.
Making matters worse is a new report from In Touch that definitively claims Josh will be appearing in an upcoming episode of his family’s comeback reality series.
“Josh will appear on the next season of his sisters’ series,” a source tells the tabloid.
“The plan is for him to address everything he’s done. What he has to say will be ratings gold, and TLC – and the Duggars – know it.”
Well, we suppose it could be ratings gold.
But it seems just as likely that the move would result in widespread public outrage and perhaps even a boycott of the network.
Already, several corporations have pulled their advertising dollars from TLC after learning their commercials appeared during broadcasts of Counting On.
To the surprise of no one except the Duggars, the public has, for the most part, proven unwilling and unable to forget that this is the same family that harbored a child molester and helped him avoid punishment for his crimes.
While an episode in which Josh tells his side of the story would likely draw big numbers for the network, the ensuing fallout would be catastrophic.
It seems unlikely that the execs at TLC would be willing to take such a risk.
Then again, many felt that way about allowing the family to return to television at all.
And here we are talking about a second season…

Ben Higgins & Lauren Bushnell: Televised Wedding Coming Soon??
It’s been more than a month since we saw Ben Higgins give Lauren Bushnell the final rose on The Bachelor, and the love birds are just itching like hell to get that marriage certificate signed.
The pair appeared on an interview with Indiana University’s What’s Up Weekly, and hinted that a wedding was coming soon.
“We’ve been engaged now for a lot longer than when the show ended, so I’m ready to at least start planning,” said Bushnell.
“Maybe by the end of this year,” she added, alluding to when the wedding might take place.
Higgins also revealed that bridal magazines have been showing up to the house.
Could they be planning a cover story or editorial spread on the latest Bachelor nuptials?
Last week, Bushnell visited the Neil Lane jewelry shop, designer of her wedding ring, for a fitting.
“Thanks Neil for making my ring fit perfectly! Also for making the most beautiful ring I’ve ever laid my eyes on,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Now that my ring fits perhaps I should start wedding planning…” she added.
Sounds like these two aren’t wasting any time.
But the real question is, will the nuptials be televised?
The pair have previously said they’d be open to it, and with Higgins being touted as the “most popular Bachelor in history,” ABC is sure to have the cameras rolling.
According to Inquisitr, Higgins and Bushnell have already met with network executives to put the plan in motion.
As determined as they sound, earlier this month rumors surfaced alleging that the couple were experiencing “extreme tension” due to Bushnell’s discomfort watching her fiance tell JoJo Fletcher he loved her on national television.
Whether or not that’s true, it sounds as if these two will be making that walk down the aisle in the very near future.

Rob Kardashian Wedding: Will It Be Televised?
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna may soon make like Kim Kardashian.
No, they are not about to film a sex tape. We don’t think. Although it wouldn’t surprise us.
Instead, insiders tell TMZ that the controversial couple has been approached by numerous producers who want to televise their upcoming nuptials.
If you’ll recall, Kim got married to Kris Humphries on television. (And then, of course, got filed for divorce from Kris Humphries 72 days later.)
According to this report, Kardashian and his bride-to-be could bank as much as $ 200,000 (each!) per episode if they starred in a reality series that chronicled their adventure toward the altar.
Moreover, they could make another $ 500,000 (each!) for the actual wedding episode.
These payments would come solely from the network putting on the program.
The couple could then make even more money via wedding vendors who provide flowers, cakes, dresses and everything else that goes into one’s big day, banking payouts in exchange for integrating these items into the show.
There’s just one obstacle:
Kris Jenner has a deal with E! that guarantees the network first shot to cover/air anything related to her famous family.
And she isn’t exactly a fan of her son’s engagement to one of her long-time foes.
Would Rob and Chyna be legally permitted to anchor their own, non-E! reality series? Would they want to branch out on their own? Would Kris agree to be a part of it she received a decent cut of the revenue?
We think we know the answer to at least one of those questions, don’t you?

Chelsea Houska & Cole DeBoer: Will Their Wedding Be Televised?
Back in November, we reported that Chelsea Houska is engaged to Cole DeBoer.
The news came as a welcome surprise to Teen Mom fans who have witnessed the astonishing jackassery of Chelsea’s baby daddy Adam Lind.
(Lind went on a racist rant on social media over the weekend to remind everyone one of what a douche he is, just in case you forgot.)
Chelsea’s long been one of the most stable and most beloved members of the Teen Mom roster, so seeing her finally find happiness with a guy who’s worthy of her has been a joy for fans.
Unfortunately, it looks like we’re not invited to the wedding, y’all.
Asked by a fan recently if the wedding would be televised, Chelsea replied simply, “It will not.”
“Chelsea wants her wedding to be very private and low-key,” says one insider.
“MTV is begging her to let them film it but Chelsea refuses. She usually stands firm on stuff like this, so it’s unlikely that she’ll change her mind. Besides, Cole has never really been comfortable doing things on-camera.”
The recent Catelynn Lowell-Tyler Baltiera wedding was a ratings bonanza for MTV, so it’s safe to say Chelsea turned a pretty penny to allow a Teen Mom camera crew at her nuptials.
But fear not, fans.
Amber Portwood and Matt Baier are engaged and are reportedly planning to tie the knot around the same time, so there may be a televised wedding in the near future after all!
Watch Teen Mom 2 online to relive the many ups and downs of Chelsea’s love life.

Kim Kardashian Giving Birth to Saint West: Will It Be Televised?
As you’ve probably heard, Kim Kardashian gave birth to a son on Saturday. As you’ve also probably heard and possibly tried to erase from your memory, Kim and Kanye named the kid Saint West.
Unfortunately, you’ll just have to take take Kim’s explanation for why she named the kid Saint and accept that he entered the world under miraculous conditions, because unlike other events involving Kim’s vagina, the birth will not be televised.
Yes, it seems the Kardashians will not be featuring Saint Robert West’s glorious entrance into the world in a very holy episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
In fact, the boy probably won’t appear on the show for the first year of his life.
When North was born, Kim and Kanye (read: Kanye) decided not to involve her with reality TV until after her first birthday.
Insiders say with Saint, the couple might wait even longer! In fact, we might not see this kid on KUWTK until he’s ready to perform his first miracle.
We’re hoping he’ll turn Smart Water into Hennessy at one of Kanye’s shows, but who knows? Maybe he’ll just shrink his Aunt Kylie’s lips back down to human size.
In any event, it’s good to know that even the Kardashians have a line they won’t cross in terms of what they’re willing to exploit for ratings.
In related news, don’t forget to check out Khloe’s 14-part special on Lamar Odom’s recovery process, beginning next week. We kid!

Tori Spelling to Undergo Televised Lie Detector Test: Will We Find Out If Her Marriage Drama Was Fake?!
For a woman who’s current career centers entirely around TMI reality shows, there’s a lot we don’t know about Tori Spelling:
- Is she finally ready to divorce Dean McDermott?
- Did she make up Dean’s mistress, Emily Goodhand, in order to drum up reality ratings?
- Is she really planning to sue Benihana because she didn’t have the good sense to keep her hands off a hot hibachi grill?
It’s unlikely that Tori will answer all of these questions on Sunday night, but she will submit to a lie detector test for a Lifetime special confusingly titled Tori Spelling: Celebrity Lie Detector.
The hour-long special, which will air immediately after The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story will force the actress-turned-professional-basketcase to answer a number of questions about her tabloid-fodder life and career.
We don’t know what any of Tori’s answers will be, but we do know that questions will include:
- Do you think you were case on 90210 because Aaron Spelling is your father?
- Is it true that you have had over ten plastic surgeries?
- Did you lose your virginity to one of your 90210 cast mates?
Of course our two burning questions are: 1. Are they really gonna pass up the opportunity to find out if Tori faked her husband’s affair, and 2. Do they actually expect other celebrities to keep this series running?
