Duggars Offer Back-to-School Advice (Despite the Fact They"ve Never Sent Their Kids to School)
The days are getting shorter, the never-used golf clubs and camping equipment are gathering dust, and the nagging sense that you’re wasting the best years of your life withering away under the harsh glare of fluorescent lights in a cubicle that seems to get smaller by the day is growing more profound.
This can only mean one thing — autumn is upon us.
All over the country, kids are back in the classroom, but for the Duggar family, there aren’t too many changes around the compound this time of year.
That’s because the Duggar kids are homeschooled.
Yes, not one of Jim Bob and Michelle’s 19 kids has ever set foot inside an actual classroom.
And yet, for some reason, the family still feels it’s their duty to offer back-to-school advice to their devoted fanbase.
“I know many moms and dads are in ‘back-to-school’ mode and have a thousand things to think about and many stressors in your life,” Michelle wrote on the Duggars official Facebook page this week.
“Recently, I was reading in God’s word,” Michelle continued.
“‘Be anxious for nothing.’ It was such a beautiful reminder that God has everything in control. He is working things out on our behalf. We have to place our trust in Him and He will direct our steps.”
Decent advice, but it’s easy for someone to tell you to just chill out when they’re not the ones who have to buy their kid a separate three-ring binder for every freakin’ class.
As In Touch Weekly points out, many commenters took issue with the Duggars’ advice for stressed-out parents.
“Oh, the overt irony of that post,” wrote one Facebook user.
Others echoed the sentiment, and it’s not hard to see why they’re so resentful of advice issued by someone who simply cannot relate to their plight.
Obviously, homeschooling 19 kids is no easy task — but the Duggars have had plenty of help.
If you’re a longtime fan of the family, you probably already know that the Duggars employ a buddy system, meaning that each child is assigned a younger sibling to look after — and educate.
Now that so many Duggars have left the nest, most of the tutoring duties fall not to Michelle, but to Jana.
Yes, with the help of her friend Laura DeMasie, Jana Duggar has been homeschooling her siblings for years.
Some have gone so far as to suggest that the reason Jana is still single is that she’s so busy with helping to raise her siblings that she’s had no time to find a partner.
We don’t know if that’s true, but we do know that Michelle is not the ideal person to be dispensing back-to-school advice.

Jacqueline Laurita Rejects RHONJ Offer, Quits For Good
We can say goodbye to shady feuds between Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita, because the latter will not be returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Reportedly, Laurita sat down with producers and, when they couldn’t meet her expectations, declined to return and has now quit the show for good.
Interestingly, Bravo denies that this negotiation ever went down.
According to what a source tells Page Six, Jacqueline Laurita is not returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey. No matter what.
“She talked to producers and they couldn’t give her what she wanted, so she passed.”
This wasn’t just about money, however, the source says.
Laurita was apparently “stressed.” That makes sense.
Reality television and the fame that goes with it can be a lot to deal with, even if you aren’t a mother of three.
To be fair, however, not everyone agrees with that source’s assessment.
Page Six reached out to Bravo to get their comment about that story.
Their reply was unequivocal:
“This is absolutely not true.”
To be clear, the denial is that Laurita met with producers only to reject their insufficient offer.
Jacqueline Laurita’s career with The Real Housewives of New Jersey has had its ups and downs.
When the series premiered in 2009, she was part of the original cast.
She stuck with it until the sixth season, in 2014, when her status fell to Friend of the Housewives.
Then, she came back as a full Housewife for season 7 … and quit before season 8.
This time, though, it sounds like she’s quit for good.
In August of 2017, Laurita told Page Six that it was her decision to depart from the series.
“They wanted me to come on and start filming part-time to see how the storyline unfolded and then [said they] maybe would make me full-time.”
People generally don’t want to hear that they might get full-time. In that, grocery store employees and Real Housewives stand united.
“They weren’t guaranteeing full-time, so for me to film all season long under all that stress and drama to not have a guaranteed full-time [spot] was not worth it for me, so I said no.”
Good for her for standing her ground, right?
Producers have been on the prowl for a new (or returning) Housewife ever since Laurita’s friend Siggy Flicker quit.
At the time, Flicker wrote an open letter as a statement, explaining that she would never again allow others to control how she was presented to the world.
“I learned that when dealing with a reality show, never ever ever leave your edit in the hands of someone else.”
She then explains, using an analogy.
“Let me tell you why. Imagine the most well-behaved lion — a lion who was raised and surrounded by love — never experiencing cruelty. Now imagine that same lion is caged, poked, prodded, and beaten for weeks.”
This analogy is taking us to a very, very upsetting place.
“Finally, that lion strikes back at its tormentors. The tormentors capture video only of the lion attacking, show that video and label the lion vicious, unpredictable, and unhinged.”
That, she says, was her experience as a reality star.
“Welcome to the last year of my life.”

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Offer Can"t Miss Marriage Advice
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have been married for even more years than the number of children they"ve produced.
Thirty-three, to be exact.
Yes, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have been married for 33 years, most of which came long before they were reality TV stars.
And while their lives are not without controversy (here is a look at the latest scandal), the bond between them has never been questioned.
Seriously, of ALL the stories and all the issues surrounding the Duggars, how many times have we heard that this marriage is in trouble?
Okay, quite a few, but unlike many Duggar scandals, everyone knows those are bogus. Michelle and Jim Bob aren"t going anywhere.
