Nelly Furtado may want to make like a bird right about now.

She may want to just get up and fly away.

The Canadian-born singer had the honor on Sunday night of singing her country"s national anthem prior to the NBA All-Star game, walking up to midcourt, taking a microphone… and totally butchering her rendition of "Oh, Canada."

Remember Lady Gaga"s Star-Spangled Banner performance at Super Bowl 50 the weekend before?

This was just like that. Except the total opposite in how it was received by the viewing public.

The artist chose to perform a far more melodic version of the song than most are used to, accompanied by a single flute throughout… which probably hurt her new more than it helped in the end.

Those in attendance in Toronto cheered, of course, but those behind their computers did not.

“O"Canada is an awesome song. No need to change the notes,” wrote one Twitter user, while another shared a photo of Klay Thompson’s ear bleeding and wrote that the shooting guard had just listed to Furtado sing.

A local sports reporter, Erin Hawksworth, meanwhile, sadly summed up the feelings of many listeners by writing:

"As a Canadian, I am embarrassed by what Nelly Furtado just did. Who signed off on that?"

Ouch.

Brandi Glanville on Kim Richards: She"s Sober!

According to Brandi Glanville, Kim Richards has used a recent tragedy to turn her life around.

On January 24, Richards’ ex-husband, Monty Brinson, passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Richards and Brinson shared both a child and a strong connection to each other, even if they had not been married since 1988.

In a farewell message to Brinson the day after he died, Richards referred to her ex-husband as the “best friend” she ever had.

Considering Kim’s well-documented battle with addiction, it would have been easy for her to fall even further off the wagon as a result of this sad development. 

But Brandi Glanville offered a positive update on her friend during a recent appearance on Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss’ podcast Allegedly.

“Kim is great. I just saw her,” Glanville said. “She is sober, day by day. She is doing really well.”

Brandi admits that she “didn’t know what to expect” from Richards after Brinson’s passing… and also admits that she may not have helped the cause.

Glanville drank alcohol at Brinson’s wake, saying that if one wants to “be sober” and “can’t handle being around someone who drinks, then don’t do it.”

Ah, yes. There’s the nice and sensitive Brandi Glanville we’ve grown not to love.

Still, Brandi claims she’ll be there for Kim if her former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmate falls into trouble down the line.

“I hope [Kim] will [stay sober], but she doesn’t even know if she will,” the reality star told Von and Weiss.

“She’s really at this point of saying ‘It’s day by day and I’m not going to make any promises to anyone else,’ and I think that is what she should’ve said the whole time.”

“I am very protective over Lamar right now. I feel so guilty being away from him … my brain is still at the hospital. I get super anxious.”

Not only was she worried about her estranged, ailing husband, but the reality of having to be asked about his health 100 times a day.

All on top of the fact that their divorce was about to become final when she called it off to care for him … while still dating James Harden.

“I want to live the life that I was already living before this whole thing happened,” Khloe admitted, with trademark honesty, at one point.

Meanwhile, the family prepared to celebrate Kris Jenner’s 60th birthday while also marking birthdays for Kendall and Caitlyn Jenner.

There was some serious surrounding Kendall, for once, regarding her participation in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – a bit deal.

Kendall, as she’s explained many times, did not want family there as she seeks to dispel the notion that her name is why she’s famous.

You can imagine her frustration, then, when Kim Kardashian urged Caitlyn Jenner to go … and this decision was made public no less.

That led to an ugly phone call in which Kendall laid down the law. She also laid the smack down on Kylie Jenner for a different reason.

When Kylie asked if she could uninvite Tyga from Kendall’s party due to one of their many fights, Kendall shot her down. She invited him.

Fortunately, if you know anything about Kyga, you know they make up as quickly as they break up, and such was the case here, too.

Finally, the whole gang surprised Momager Kris with a recreation of her 30th birthday music video, and everything was right with the world.

Tyra Banks Baby Photo: He"s Perfect!

Tyra Banks is one of the most successful supermodels of all-time, having walked runways around the world and struck poses in every conceivable way.

But she’s never appeared in a photo quite like this before.

That’s because Banks is a first-time mother and she just gave fans their very first look at her baby boy.

“This is the Happiest Valentine’s Day of my life,” Banks wrote as a caption to the Instagram image “York, Daddy @erikasla and I send you so much love.”

As you can see above, little York Banks Asla is swaddled and nuzzled into his mother’s chest, just a few weeks after a surrogate helped Banks welcome her miracle baby into the world.

Banks and her boyfriend, Norwegian photographer Erik Asla, struggled with fertility before choosing to go the surrogate route.

The former America’s Next Top Model host managed to keep this plan a secret, only revealing that her family had expanded after the child was born.

“As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day,” Banks said via statement at the time, adding:

“My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to feel what my little treasure, York Banks Asla, feels like in my arms.”

What a beautiful sentiment.

And what a beautiful baby boy.
