Cathriona White Suicide Note: New Details Revealed

Nearly a year after Cathriona White committed suicide, new details have emerged of the note she left prior to taking her own life.

White was the longtime girlfriend of actor Jim Carrey.

She and the former Ace Ventura star had dated on and off for several years, breaking up just a week prior to White killing herself last fall at the age of 28.

According to newly released autopsy and toxicology reports, White – who fatally overdosed on prescription medication in – was found with a suicide note actually addressed to Carrey.

“I’ve spent 3 days now in disbelief that you’re not here,” it reads. “I can go on brokenhearted and try to put the pieces back. I could, I just don’t have the will this time.”

The letter was discovered by the police, but only just now made public.

It continued: “I’m sorry you felt I wasn’t there for you. I tried to give you my best part.”

In the letter, White also mentions plans for her funeral, writing:

“I don’t really know about burial or that sort of thing. You are my family so whatever you choose will be fine.”

She went on to request that her possessions be sold and given to her family.

“Please forgive me. I’m just not for this world,” the letter concluded, prior to White signing off with “Dewdrop,” presumably a nickname Carrey had for her. 

White, a native of Ireland, met Carrey in 2012.

The toxicology report confirms that her death was a suicide and that White had a number of prescription pills in her system at the time of her death, including:

Propranolol (a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure), zolpidem (a sleep aid sold as Ambien), and painkillers oxycodone and oxymorphone.

Shortly after White’s passing, Carrey released a statement that read:

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled

My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.

Oscar Pistorius Sentenced to Six Years in Prison For Murder

Former Olympic and Paralympic track star Oscar Pistorius has been sentenced to six years in prison for murdering girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

The 29-year-old double-amputee became known across the entire world as the “Blade Runner” for his tremendous, inspirational achievements.

His career peaked at the 2012 Olympics in London, where he held his own with the best of the best in several elite track and field events.

Then the star fatally shot his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp through a bathroom door of his home in his native South Africa in 2013.

On Wednesday, Judge Thokozile Masipa said Pistorius had become a “fallen hero” and that his remorse factored into a lenient sentence.

“Recovery is possible, but it will depend mostly on the accused,” Masipa said during her ruling in Johannesburg, according to reports.

“The worst is that having taken life of a fellow human being in the manner that he did he cannot be at peace,” the judge added.

“He’s a fallen hero, he’s lost his career and he’s ruined financially.”

Masipa had previously convicted Pistorius of manslaughter and sentenced him to five years, but he was released on bail during appeal.

In December, an appeals court ruled that the athlete was in fact guilty of murder and sent the case back to Masipa for a new sentence. 

Steenkamp’s parents, Barry and June, wiped away tears as the sentence was read; Pistorius could’ve faced 15 years or even longer.

Pistorius sat stoically as the judge explained her ruling.

Steenkamp was shot multiple times through a locked bathroom door at  home, and he always maintained that he acted in self-defense.

Believing that an intruder had barricaded himself in the room, dubious as that sounds, Pistorius says he never meant to shoot Steenkamp.

Defense attorneys even had him remove his prosthetic legs last month and walk across the court room on his stumps as a demonstration.

This, they believed, would show how vulnerable he was and offer some insight into his mental state at the time of the late-night shooting. 

Pistorius can still appeal the the latest sentence.

Kaley Cuoco Apologizes for Alleged Desecreation of American Flag

Kaley Cuoco may star on The Big Bang Theory…

… but the actress got herself into a big ole heap of trouble on Monday.

The beloved star drew harsh rebuke across social media for sharing a photo of her dogs sitting on the American flag in celebration of July Fourth.

Many folks believe the flag should never even touch the ground, so you can imagine their reaction upon seeing it touch the ground AND the rear ends of two canines.

Actually, you don’t have to imagine.

Here is what one angry Twitter user wrote in response to the incident:

“Why the f–k is your dog running its a–hole on the f–king flag?!?! I get that your trying to act patriotic but this is definitely in VERY bad taste!!!”

In response to the scandal, Cuoco deleted the image and shared the following long note of apology:

“I would like to comment on a photo I posted yesterday, that has caused lots of controversy.

“First off, please know, I have the utmost respect for my country. I am a proud American in every sense of the word. I understand the American flag stands for our freedom and represents American heroes, past and present.

“Yesterday I made a mistake by posting the picture that was taken of my sweet dogs posing on an American flag. I sincerely apologize to anyone that has been offended by my previous post.

“This is no way reflects my feelings toward what the American flag represents. Living in the public eye, can be extremely difficult at times. Every mistake and every imperfection is amplified. I am not perfect.

“I am a proud American, today, tomorrow, always.”

And she also has some pretty awesome pants:

Cuoco is one of the most outspoken animal lovers and advocates in Hollywood.

She had strong words to say herself in May when a gorilla was killed at the Cincinnati Zoo after a four-year old fell into the animal’s enclosure.

In this case, we think she really did make an honest mistake and we don’t doubt the star’s love for her country. Do you?

This is someone who has won Instagram on numerous occasions, remember.

So it’s okay if she loses on the platform every note and then.
