Christina Grimmie Family Thanks Public for Support

About one month after the shocking murder of Christina Grimmie, those closest to the singer have spoken out.

Grimmie was signing autographs back stage in Orlando on the night of June 10 when a deranged fan approached the former Voice contestant and opened fire.

The artist was transported to a local hospital, but died shortly thereafter.

She was only 28 years old.

Not long after this unspeakable tragedy, Kevin James Loibl was idenfitied as Grimmie’s killer.

He may very well have taken more lives that night, but Grimmie’s brother, Marcus, wrestled Loibl to the ground and the latter eventually committed suicide by gun shot.

Since this horrible incident took place, we’ve learned that Loibl constantly listed to Grimmie’s songs and believed he would someday be her husband.

It’s just awful stuff all around.

In the past month or so, the music industry has rallied around Grimmie, expressing an outpouring of support and sympathy for her family.

And now, in response, Grimmie’s parents and brother have issued the following statement:

As we have always known, Christina’s life was so very special, not only to us, but to everyone she touched with her joyful heart, beautiful voice and love for life and the Lord.

Words cannot express what the many memorials, donations and tributes shared by Christina’s fans and those in the media and entertainment industry mean to us. She will live on in our hearts forever.

We will take our time in determining the best ways to honor Christina moving forward.

After Grimmie was shot and killed, her longtime manager, Brian Teefy, set up a GoFundMe page to support her loved ones during their mourning.

Since the setup, the page has exceeded its $ 4,000 goal with $ 196,042 worth of contributions.

That’s pretty amazing.

Mischa Barton Poses in Yacht, Slams "Pigs" for Killing Alton Sterling

Mischa Barton is the latest celebrity to express shock and sadness at the murder of Alton Sterling. 

Alton was gunned down on Wednesday July 6, 2016 by police after they claimed that he had a gun. 

Mischa Barton’s take on the whole thing was pretty heartfelt, but also pretty bizarre.

“I’m truly heart broken to watch videos like the #altonsterling execution,” Barton wrote in the since-deleted post.

“This may have been going on forever in the United States but thank god the pigs get caught on camera now. Its unthinkable and an embarrassment to America. The country I was brought up in.”

“Somebody make change. We need gun control and unity. And a real President so think about that when this election is around the corner. The world is a precarious place right now.#stop #reflect and #act appropriately.”

The thing that made this bizarre was the fact that the 30-year-old accompanied the statement with her posing on a yacht. 

Yes, on a yacht. 

She looks very sad in the picture and has a glass of wine. 

It’s pretty crazy and takes a lot away from her thoughts on the murder. 

Was the former The OC star trying to capitalize on Sterling’s murder to show off how great she looks?

If so, then that’s pretty messed up. 

Fans were quick to point out that Barton had gone too far with the Instagram post and she swiftly deleted it. 

Nothing is ever really deleted on the internet and it’s now doing the rounds all over social media.

Watch This Mother Tell Her Son That He Just Beat Cancer

The world is a little brighter today for one family in Oklahoma.

And for anyone who watches the following video, really.

It features a young boy named Ben Morris.

As we’re sadly told by Ben’s mother, the child was diagnosed with leukemia in 2013.

Ever since that tragic day, the child has spent 1,167 days going through chemotherapy. It"s a sad tale, but it"s one that has a happy ending.

Because little Ben is now cancer-free.

In the footage below, Ben"s mother gets to share this amazing news with her son.

And we get to see his reaction to it.

Seriously, how many times have you seen anyone hear this sort of news?

And for that person to be an adorable little boy? And to also see his mom react? And his brother, who can"t stop running around in happy circles?

Big Brother Spoilers: Is Tiffany Getting Blindsided?

Things can change pretty quickly in the Big Brother house. 

It was only a week ago that the Eight Pack alliance was sitting pretty at the top, but the fractures have already begun to appear and it looks like they could be losing some of their own. 

It all started when Victor put Tiffany on the block as his road kill nominee. This was very stupid on his part because there is much bigger fish to fry in the game. 

He made his decision final and that’s when Tiffany started her downward spiral. She reminded the houseguests a little too much of her sister, Vanessa. 

Paranoia does not look good on Big Brother and she ultimately broke down to her alliance members and made them swear that she wasn’t leaving the game through the back door. 

Despite all the assurance in the world, she still didn’t trust her own alliance and that was made clear during the veto competition when she tried to defeat Da’vonne. 

Da’vonne made her concerns known to her alliance members and they started questioning whether Tiffany served as an asset to them. 

Frank was quick to turn the tables and get the alliance to gun for Tiff, but then Da’vonne did some digging of her own. 

She found out that Frank has been making side deals with every person in the house and his final two deals with most of them. 

Frank has been overplaying the game and everyone has caught wind of this. Da’vonne set up a meeting with Michelle, Zakiyah and Nicole. 

She informed them that it isn’t the time to take Tiffany out and they need her to remain cool with them for the numbers. 

That means that Tiffany seems very safe for now and that Victor is back to being this week’s target. 

Frank has no idea that everyone in the house knows that he’s a snake, but it won’t be long before someone opens up to him about it. 

He was pretty vocal with Nicole, James and Da’vonne about letting his team win the HOH this week so he can go after bigger targets, but Da’vonne told the others to fight for the HOH. 

There’s every possibility that Frank would stab his alliance in the back if there was the possibility of another alliance forming that would get him further. 

Look for tonight’s vote to evict Victor to be a landslide. Natalie, Bridgette and Paul know where the power in the house lies, so they won’t want to upset the bigger alliance.
