Robby Hayes: The Next Bachelor?

He thought he had it in the bag, but Robby Hayes came up just short in the quest for JoJo Fletcher’s love on The Bachelorette season finale.

Might he find a second opportunity on ABC this winter?

While the runner-up from the previous season rarely gets the starring role the following go-around, none other than JoJo defied that trend.

Third- or fourth-place finishers tend to be the people tapped to dole out roses, and Luke Pell and Chase McNary certainly fit the bill.

Still, Robby Hayes ended this “journey” on such a high note, it’s not surprising that there’s been talk of him becoming the next Bachelor.

“It’s definitely something that’s crossed my mind. It’s definitely something I’d have to talk with my friends and my family about,” he says.

The 27-year-old says his reason for being open to it is simple:

“The reason I’m definitely open to it is because I know that this avenue and this journey works. It worked for me last season with JoJo.”

I have no doubt that it could work for me again,” Hayes adds.

That doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be reservations involved.

As Jordan Rodgers and Hayes himself can attest, one’s entire life becomes subject to intense scrutiny by agreeing to be on this show.

“If that came knocking on my door, it’s definitely something I would be open to, but I would have sit down and talk to my family,” he says.

“Because they stressed so much about this season.”

In any case, it’s premature, Hayes says, because while there have “been mentions” of him becoming The Bachelor, “nothing is solidified.”

Hayes, whose drama with ex-girlfriend Hope Higginbotham might have been a bigger scandal were it not for Rodgers, is single for now.

Single, and ready to mingle … maybe. Soon.

Regardless of whether he ends up handing out roses on ABC, he shared an image of himself (above) giving one to deserving folks.

“Thank you so much for the overwhelming support everyone has been showing me over the past couple months,” he posted on Instagram.

“To my family, you have been my rock and you mean the world to me. Sometimes it’s the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination.”

“This [rose] is for you!”

If Robby were the next Bachelor, where would he rank among the hottest to ever fill the reality TV role? Check out his competition below:

Spencer Pratt SLAMS The Hills Special: They Just Didn"t Want To Be Real!

The Hills made a triumphant return to MTV on August 2, but not everyone was involved.

In fact, it was all about Lauren Conrad.

That was a bit disappointing. Usually when networks go with anniversary specials, they try to get everyone involved, but not on this occasion.

Originally, The Hills was the story of Lauren Conrad, but the other people who took part were actually just as prominent as her.

Kristin Cavallari took over from Conrad in the second half of The Hills Season 5, so it was a little bit odd they didn’t at least try to get her involved in some capacity.

Spencer Pratt was not impressed with the decision to focus on Lauren. It doesn’t appear that he’s out there to revive his feud with her.

He’s basically only crawled out of the woodwork to let everyone know that he and Heidi would return to the show in an instant.

“I don’t care if I wasn’t in it,” Pratt, who says MTV never reached out to him about the special, tells EW.

“But at least do a real Hills reunion with the entire cast … It’s like, after 10 years, with all the real secrets, all the real juice, all the real behind-the-scenes, you’re just going to phone in some hokey little infomercial?”

There’s not a chance in hell that he and Heidi would decline the opportunity to appear in another reality show.

They know that’s where they make their money. Hopefully they’re more careful with their money these days and aren’t still spending $ 400,000 on crystals.

What even was that?

We did get to see a whole lot of never-before-seen footage, but it just didn’t cut it.

Spencer even came up with a great idea for a reunion. MTV execs take note!

“Let’s get everybody on a couch on a beach in Cabo drinking tequila, letting the secrets fly,” says Pratt.

What do you think about all of this?

Would you have had the rest of the cast on the reunion?

Elena Delle Donne: WNBA Star Comes Out as Gay

Chicago Sky forward and reigning MVP Elena Delle Donne has become the latest – and one of the most high-profile – WNBA players to come out as gay.

According to the New York Post, Delle Donne recently revealed that she is engaged to 26-year-old Amanda Clifton in a year-to-be-published interview with the website Out Sports.

Delle Donne joins Brittney Griner, the iconic Phoenix Mercury center, who came out shortly after being chosen number one overall in the 2013 WNBA draft.

As the number two pick that same year, Delle Donne was frequently asked about Griner’s historic coming out, and she always offered words of support and encouragement:

“In our sport, we’re fine with it,” Delle Donne said. “We’re all friends, and I want everybody to be who they are. You shouldn’t have to lie, that’s not fair.”

“Hopefully the men can one day adopt that same attitude that we have.”

Both Griner and Delle Donne have drawn comparisons to Michael Sam, who became the first openly gay player to be drafted by the NFL.

While Delle Donne no doubt acknowledges the similarities in the situations, she also discourages fans from using women’s sports as a lens through which to explore and speculate men’s athletics:

“Stop taking Brittney out of our game and putting her in the men’s game,” she said in a 2013 interview. “She’s ours and she’s changing our game,” she said. “So it does upset me a little bit.”

“Respect women’s basketball for what it is.”

Delle Donne’s history-making profile is expected to be published as early as today.

Fans and colleagues are already praising the 26-year-old on social media.

Beginning next week, Delle Donne will compete in the Rio Olympics as a member of Team USA’s women’s basketball team.

Big Brother Recap: Are Showmances Ruining the Show?

Is it just me or are there too many showmances on this season of Big Brother?

It’s getting to a point that I just don’t care about the gameplay. It’s so damn predictable.

The men are starting to pick off the women and it’s getting tedious.

Why are the women not realizing what’s going on? It’s getting so obvious that I’m predicting who the replacement nominee will be every week.

Paul went straight to Bridgette and informed her that she’s safe. Paul really wants Bridgette gone, but his alliance members are gunning for Da’vonne.

Yes, the same Da’vonne who has never won a competition.

Granted, she is pretty unpredictable. She threw everyone else under the bus to try and evade going on the block. She has no loyalty.

Da’vonne knew something was up when Nicole wasn’t put up. That’s when the cookie started to crumble for her.

I wouldn’t have blamed her for blowing up alliances because deep down, there’s no way she’s a pawn.

If that was the case, Paulie would have stayed up on the block, sitting pretty.

One showmance that seems to be coming to an end, is the one that includes Paulie and Zakiyah.

Zakiyah clearly isn’t fussed about playing the game and only cares about floating on through.

In most seasons, you get one or two contestants like that, but there’s a lot this time round.

At the veto, Paulie emerged victorious.

The target on Paulie should be growing. He’s acing all the competitions and if he gets to the end, he’s going to win.

Even after a last minute argument, Paul and Paulie decided that Da’vonne would be the replacement nominee.

It sucks for Da’vonne because she put her trust in the wrong people.

She was so sure that Nicole would be the one to go up.

Paulie used the veto on himself and Da’vonne was the replacement nominee.

What do you think about the latest developments?

Should the women target the men?
