Pretty Little Liars Season 7 Episode 7 Recap: Oh... Brothers?!?

SPOILER ALERT: No one died on Pretty Little Liars Season 7 Episode 7.

But that didn’t mean the latest installment of this Freeform* drama didn’t produce the most awkward family reunion in television history.

(*We will never get used to referring to this network as “Freeform.” Never, ever, ever.)

Within a mere two minutes of his return to Rosewood, Jason tried to execute a plan that would oust Mary Drake from Alison’s life.

This entailed an extended invite to Aria as his plus-one to dinner, which forced them to briefly confront their romantic past.

(Seriously, remember when #Jaria was kind of a thing? Kind of sort of? Almost? Yeah. We mostly forgot all about it, too.)

HOWEVER, Jason’s plan more or less fell apart in grand fashion when Mary served the main course… which ended up being a sob story over how Jessica kept her in the dark about Charles’ supposed death.

(We were just shocked no violins started to play for her in the background.)

In the end, though, the evening wasn’t a complete waste. Her tale led the gals to Jessica’s secret lair, where they discovered that Charlotte had … a biological sibling.

Wait. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?

We may not even have included enough question marks and exclamation marks there. Let us try again:

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Who the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks is mysterious sibling? Is it A.D.? Or is it someone A.D. is looking for?

Please take your best guess as to the identity of the über villain who was seen with Aria and Noel’s files at the conclusion of the episode.

We may need to go watch Pretty Little Liars online to even start coming up with a theory.

Other Pretty Little Notes from the intense hour:

Because Aria is always quite busy solving murders and what not, Ezra suggested a destination elopement.

Ad it almost happened!

The engaged twosome were about to hit the road … when they were interrupted by a knock at the door. Who was it?

A certain presumed girlfriend who we no longer need to presume is dead.

Spencer learned that Toby started building that house for her, which was only the second most difficult thing she had to hear.

She was also told that he and Yvonne are moving to Maine to start a family.

Hanna at last came clean to Caleb about her break-up with Jordan. This somehow didn’t lead to immediate intercourse, but we’re pretty sure it’s just a matter of time.

Finally, Emily’s mom continued to be totally and completely awesome.

Like, totally and completely. Can she please get a spinoff when Pretty Little Liars goes off the air?

Sagan Lewis Dies; Veteran Actress Was 63

Sad news this week out of the television world:

Sagan Lewis, a veteran actress best known for her role on the 1980s medical drama St. Elsewhere, died on Sunday at her home in New York City.

She was 63 years old.

Sagan Lewis

Lewis was the wife of Emmy-winning television creator Tom Fontana.

The woman behind Dr. Jacqueline Wade on the aforementioned series, Lewis also appear in television movies such as Full Ride and Cocaine: One Man’s Seduction.

In the late 1990s, she signed in for a recurring as role Judge Susan Aandahl on Homicide: Life on the Street, one of the most critically-acclaimed shows of its era.

She also appeared in the final half hour of M*A*S*H as well.

The couple divorced in 1993, but got remarried in 2015.

May Sagan Lewis rest in peace.

Dwayne Johnson: Fast & Furious Foe REVEALED!

We’ve thought long and hard about it, and we’ve come to the following conclusion:

There is no place on the planet we’d want to be less than on Dwayne Johnson’s bad side.

We don’t need to explain why, do we?

You have seen the following Dwayne Johnson picture, haven’t you?

The former wrestler and current action star could crush our skulls with, like, one quarter of his thigh muscle if he so desired.

And yet, despite the menacing presence of Johnson on set, there’s a member of the Fast & Furious franchise who has earned his wrath.

The typically jovial and controversy-free actor voiced his frustration with this nameless individual during a surprising Instagram rant this week.

Writing of his experience on Fast 8, which wraps up filming next week, Johnson said his “female co-stars are always amazing” and that he loves them.

But the men? Well…

“Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t,” he wrote.

“The ones that don’t are too chicken sh*t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.”

Along with this angry message, Johnson included footage of himself in a Fast & Furious movie, hurling some poor dude against the wall:

Dwayne Johnson Rips Fast 8 Male Co-Stars

To whom is Johnson aiming his anger?

Vin Diesel, according to TMZ.

The site claims that Johnson often clashed with Diesel the production, partly because the latter is a producer and “made decisions that didn’t sit well with the former wrestling champ.”

The stars had a face-to-face on Tuesday in Atlanta because tensions were clearly running high, making it almost impossible to shoot scenes.

It’s unclear if anything truly got resolved, but most cast members are pretty peeved at Johnson for taking his issues public.

It’s very unlike him, that’s for sure.

Johnson is one of the most-liked people in Hollywood.

However, an insider tells E! News that shooting the latest installment of this beloved franchise “wasn’t easy for anyone,” but it was “especially” hard on Johnson.

According to this source, the set just “didn’t feel exactly the same” this time around.

And while Johnson “is the best guy on the planet to work with,” he’s “also a very emotional guy” and “likes things to go as he sees fit [while] also being fair.”

Yes, E! goes on to write, things became “heated” between Johnson and some colleagues at times, but “all is cool now.”

Overall, Johnson “is excited for this movie to come out,” concludes an insider, “but [he’s] also ready to take a break and have it be over.”

We get that.

He has to go be awesome someplace else.

Bachelor in Paradise Recap: Evan Bass Goes Fishing For Love

What happened in Paradise when the women held all the power – and the beef between Josh Murray and Nick Viall escalated further?!

Picking up in the aftermath of the double elimination a night earlier, Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 Episode 3 began with a lot of tension.

While Lace and Grant and Izzy and Vinny were on solid ground, most of the couples or would-be couples could not make that claim.

Take Sarah, who found herself drawn to new arrival Christian, making Daniel jealous and even more determined to get to know her.

This put her in a position where she debated the age-old conundrum:

Do I date the guy who is definitely marriage material, or the exciting newcomer who didn’t kiss me for fear of giving me the Zika virus?

We’ve all been there, are we right fellas and ladies? Moving on …

Brandon, who was on Desiree’s season but so forgettable that not even Chris Harrison knew who he was, was really into one of the twins.

Naturally, being twins, they pulled a switcheroo to see if he would notice. He did not, so we’re guessing this relationship won’t last long.

Unless they’re both really into him, which would just be weird.

But on to the main event: Nick Viall wasn’t sure if Amanda Stanton was really into Josh, or if this was just a cruel joke by the universe.

After all, how many times can Josh Murray steal Nick’s girl? And how many times can Viall get dumped on a single ABC reality franchise?

(Two and three if you’re keeping score at home.)

Nick was not happy in any case, but interestingly, it was Evan Bass – spurned by Carly Waddell – who decided he would break it up.

Yes, he went after Amanda as well. And HARD.

After shedding more than a few tears over Carly, Evan sought to rekindle his (brief) connection with Amanda from their beach arrivals.

He made his own date card and invited Amanda to the tree house for dinner … while she was in mid-makeout session with Josh Murray.

“I know she’s with Josh right now,” Evan admitted.

“But, I want to do something where it’s like, ‘Hey, here I am.’ Maybe there’s something inside of you that says, ‘I really like this guy."”

Pretty incredible, and worthy of a “To Be Continued…”

The Bachelor / Bachelorette / Bachelor in Paradise always leaves us wanting more, and the previews for next week’s show did just that.

Evan reveals he wants Amanda “to see the real Josh,” and he tells her of “verbal and physical abuse claims” that Josh isn’t happy about.

“I would appreciate it if you woulda come to me and talked to me about it,” Josh tells the erectile dysfunction expert as we fade to black.

Also next week, the beautiful Caila Quinn – who would have been The Bachelorette until JoJo Fletcher swooped in – makes her debut.
