Miranda Lambert DUMPS Evan Felker Because He "Broke Her Rules" (Report)
Well, folks, it’s late August, which means all over the country, summer romances are coming to a bittersweet end.
Most of the lovers parting ways this week are camp counselors who hooked up out of boredom or college students eager to hurry back to the campus meat market after three months of fitful sleep on some townies’ sweaty futon … but even celebrities aren’t immune to the rush of an ill-advised hot-weather fling.
So it was that Miranda Lambert and Evan Felker started dating, despite the pesky fact that he’s married to someone else.
But after months of tabloid headlines accusing Miranda of being a “homewrecker,” Lamber and Felker have officially called it quits.
News of the split comes courtesy of Miranda’s latest print interview, in which she copped to being newly single:
“Love is a hard road sometimes and it’s been a roller-coaster ride for me, but I’m definitely thankful for all the ups and downs because I’ve had some really good songs come out of it,” Lambert told The Tennessean.
“You’ve got to take the bad parts and put them on paper and then move on to the happy parts.”
Insiders confirmed the breakup, claiming that Felker had violated one of Lambert’s clearly-defined rules:
I don’t think it was a dramatic split, but he knew what he was ‘allowed’ to do based on her rules and he broke them,” one source tells People magazine.
“He did something that he knew she wasn’t going to approve of, she assumed he did it and he didn’t deny it.”
While it’s always sad when a relationship comes to an end, for Miranda this situation is more lining than dark cloud.
From the very start, her romance with Felker was a PR nightmare with claims that Lambert, largely due to the fact that Felker’s wife, Staci Nelson, refused to just quietly go away.
Instead, she shared her story with her ever-growing Instagram following, and Miranda didn’t exactly come away smelling like a rose.
Things seemed to come to a head earlier this month, when Nelson accused Lambert of stalking her.
It was also around that time that Felker and Nelson finalized their divorce.
“Staci very much believes in marriage and very much wanted hers to work,” says the source.
“Lucky for her, the breakup happened a few days after the legal process was over and she felt no obligation to take him back.”
We’re guessing Evan is currently wondering what he can do to win Staci back.

Miranda Lambert and Evan Felker: It"s Over!
Back in June, Miranda Lambert confessed that she is a homewrecker.
At the time, she was carrying on with another country singer, and their relationship had begun before he ever filed for divorce.
Now, they have split, and Miranda has confirmed that she is single … for now.
In an interview with The Tennessean, Miranda Lambert discusses love, heartbreak, and her current relationship status.
First of all, Miranda confirms that she is “happily single” at the moment.
That means that she and Evan Felker, who had a controversial romance that began earlier this year, are no longer a couple.
Miranda also speaks about romance and how it has impacted her.
“Love is a hard road sometimes,” Miranda shares. “And it’s been a roller-coaster ride for me.”
Despite the emotional hardship that comes from falling out of love, it sounds like Miranda wouldn’t change a thing — for a very practical reason.
“But,” Miranda continues. “I’m definitely thankful for all the ups and downs.”
She explains that she’s grateful “because I’ve had some really good songs come out of it.”
Hey, her music is her whole livelihood. That makes a lot of sense.
Needless to say, Miranda is far from the only singer to pour her love life into her music.
Miranda describes the process that she uses to deal with heartbreak and channel it into her art.
“You’ve got to take the bad parts,” she explains. “And put them on paper and then move on to the happy parts.”
That’s an astoundingly healthy attitude.
“Sometimes,” she admits. “The music is so honest that it’s like, ‘Oh, that kind of hurts a little,"”
But we can only imagine that this makes it more potent when her fans hear it.
“But, it’s good,” Miranda adds, to suffer a little at her own music.
She and others like her aim for their fans who listen to their music to understand that they are not alone, and for them to be able to process their own experiences using relatable music.
“We just want women to understand that we’re all doing the same thing,” Miranda says.
“We’re all just living our lives,” she explains. “And having the same struggles and the same joys and the same outlooks.”
That’s a powerful statement.
We can think of one woman who is grappling with recent heartbreak who probably won’t be listening to Miranda Lambert’s music to sob her way through it.
Back in April, Staci Felker called out Miranda Lambert for homewrecking, because she was carrying on with Staci’s husband, Evan Felker.
It was not until weeks later, in May, when Evan Felker filed for divorce.
Plenty of marriages come to an end long before divorce papers are filed … but many felt that the homewrecker label applied here.
Thta said, we should all keep in mind that Miranda did not kidnap anyone. If the Felker marriage was wrecked, it looks like Evan did the wrecking himself.
Too often, our society looks for a woman to blame, as if men are hapless and lack agency, and somehow can’t be blamed.

Miranda Lambert Accused of Harassing Evan Felker"s Wife!
It’s been three months since the world learned that Miranda Lambert is dating Evan Felker, and reports about the goings-on in this relationship have only gotten more bizarre with time.
Most of the weirdness centers around the fact that Felker is still married to a woman named Staci Nelson.
Nelson has become something of a hero to jilted spouses everywhere, thanks to the grace and humor with which she’s handled her inarguably sh-tty situation.
Obviously, it’s unfair to blame Lambert for Felker’s infidelity, but as the most high-profile figure in this love triangle, she’s attracted a good deal of criticism from the very start.
And the latest reports about Lambert’s behavior toward Nelson are unlikely to do her reputation any favors.
Currently, Lambert and Felker are on tour together with his Turnpike Troubadours serving as her opening act.
Insiders close to the situation claim that Felker has been in non-stop contact with Nelson, and has promised her that once the tour is over, he’ll promptly end his relationship with Lambert and devote himself to winning her back.
For obvious reasons, Lambert is reportedly less than thrilled by these rumors.
And it seems she’s decided to take matters into her own hands by attempting to contact Nelson, who is understandably not terribly eager to chat with her husband’s girlfriend.
But apparently, she is happy to out Lambert for her distressingly stalker-ish behavior.
According to Nelson, Lambert called her phone 22 times in two days last week.
Radar Online reports that Nelson recently posted an Instagram story which featured a screenshot of her recent missed calls.
Ten were from Felker … the other seven were from Lambert.
“Wife’s number doesn’t change. Seems problematic. 10 times in one night #insecure #rightfully so,” Nelson captioned the pic, adding:
“The other…is the person who is tired of him calling home.”
Needless to say, it’s not a great look for Lambert, or for Felker who also received some bad news this week:
Nelson has publicly vowed that she’ll never take her estranged husband back and intends to begin divorce proceedings as soon as possible.

Miranda Lambert to Evan Felker: Stop Talking to Your Wife or You"re Fired!
It’s been three months since the world learned that Miranda Lambert and Evan Felker are dating, and the situation continues to get more bizarre by the day.
The source of all the weirdness, of course, is the fact that Felker is still married to his estranged wife, Staci Nelson.
Currently, it seems Evan is caught between two worlds, simultaneously enjoying life as the boyfriend of one of the country world’s brightest stars and feeling guilty about the faithful partner he abandoned.
Not surprisingly, Miranda is not entirely cool with this arrangement and would very much prefer that her boyfriend pick a relationship and stick with it.
Of course, Evan’s situation is somewhat complicated by the fact that Miranda is not only his girlfriend — but also his boss.
Currently, Evan and his band, the Turnpike Troubadours, are opening for Miranda on her summer tour.
And according to a source close to the situation, Miranda has made it quite clear that the gig is dependent on Evan’s ability to keep his distance from his wife.
“Evan cannot be with Staci or Miranda will kick him off the tour,” the insider tells Radar Online.
The informant claims that Evan very much wants to give his marriage another chance, but he also doesn’t want to anger his bandmates by bringing an end to the most important gig of their careers.
For now, Staci is reportedly willing to wait him out, but not surprisingly, she’s growing impatient.
“The ball is in Evan’s court,” the source explains.
“Staci believes there is nothing more she can do to move the process.”
The insider adds:
“Evan is hoping that his wife will still be here when the tour is over.”
In the meantime, it seems Staci is enjoying sticking it to Miranda by boasting about how desperate Evan is to win her back.
“Is 22 missed calls in 2 days to an estranged wife really the behavior of a happy person?” she wrote on Instagram this week.
Yes, much to Miranda’s chagrin, Staci has become something of a social media celebrity in recent months, with new followers loving her not-so-subtle jabs at Evan and Miranda.
While Lambert and Felker’s relationship only went public in April, Miranda has been hinting about an affair with a fellow singer-songwriter since back in February.
Despite the rumors, Staci was reportedly “blindsided” when Evan told her he’d like to take a break from their marriage.
And not surprisingly, the source says she’s very much enjoying the position of power she now finds herself in.

Staci Felker BLASTS Evan Felker for Ghosting Her During Health Crisis
Staci Felker is not a woman to be trifled.
She called out Miranda Lambert as a homewrecker after the country singer was spotted with Staci’s husband, Evan Felker.
Now, she’s taking aim at her ex himself — after he ghosted her when she was in the middle of a health crisis.
“I’m ultimately gonna be fine physically,” Staci shared on Thursday with her fans. “Thanks for all your questions.”
Along with these words, she shared an image of her bracelet from the hospital, which you can see below.
“I’ll answer some more when I feel better,” Staci promises. “But right now — I want to talk about real men.”
She is not referring to that cringeworthy new Bravo talk show that’s already so widely ridiculed that they’re changing the name from Real Men Watch Bravo.
Ominously, Staci says: “Aside from the ghosting and just very real #psychologicalwarfare and torture that happened earlier this year.”
Staci describes Evan Felker as “a man that I perfected homemade chicken soup for when he was sick, cared for him through soooo many sweating miserable days coming off benders.”
So she’s throwing a little shade, though not necessarily in a way that will hurt his rep with the Country Music crowd.
Evan, she says, “decided to come calling when I was happy last week.”
Recently, she went on vacation, where she believes that Evan felt that she was “too happy.”
In other words, it sounds like she’s saying that he was jealous — and perhaps he was missing her.
By all accounts, Staci had a grand time “riding and then at the beach with my girls.”
This, she says, must have prompted Evan to reach out to her. She imagines that he was thinking: “How dare I smile after all he did to try to break me?”
That might be a little harsh, but you can see where she’s coming from.
“I took those calls,” Staci explains. “Because that’s what a wife does.”
“I’m still his wife,” Staci reminds her followers.
In May, weeks after being publicly linked with Miranda Lambert, Evan Felker filed for divorce from Staci.
“I’ve done everything to be a good one,” Staci says. “Because deep down I thought it might change things.”
“Less than a week later,” Staci says. “I was sent to the hospital and couldn’t reach him.”

“That’s not a real man,” Staci assets. “That’s not a country boy and certainly no cowboy.”
Now she’s attacking his (obviously ridiculous) image and his brand by exposing him as a manipulative coward.
“Not a husband I’ll ever take back,” Staci says. “Because I was scared and he was gone. Again.”
As for the medical emergency itself, Us Weekly reports that Staci Felker’s hospital trip was over a dangerously sore throat.
At first, after having just traveled overseas, there was a genuine fear that she had contracted Malaria.
The two had spoken over the phone during her trip. But when she was afraid in the hospital waiting for test results from her blood tests, he was suddenly nowhere to be found.
That must be a terrible feeling.
It’s good that she’s directing her anger where it belongs — at her husband. It sounds like he has wronged her more than once.
Miranda Lambert, on the other hand, did not “steal” anyone, including Evan. That’s a choice that Evan made on his own.

Blake Shelton Throws All the Shade at Miranda Lambert for Dating Evan Felker
Blake Shelton holds many titles:
Blake Shelton, Country Music Superstar.
Blake Shelton, The Voice Coach.
And to this list, we must now add: Blake Shelton, Flamethrower Extraordinaire.
The beloved singer took Twitter followers by surprise on Wednesday afternoon when he heated up social media via one simple message that was clearly intended to burn his ex-wife to her core.
And here’s why:
Earlier this week, it was confirmed by multiple outlets that Miranda Lambert is dating Evan Felker.
On its own, this development isn’t particularly shocking, considering Felker fronts the band that has been opening for Lambert on tour.
HOWEVER, both Radar Online and Us Weekly report that Lambert very likely broke up Felker’s marriage by sleeping with the musician, as the former website has even obtained the artist’s divorce papers.
They cite Felkner’s “abandonment” of ex-wife Staci Nelson and they were filed in February, right around the time Felkner allegedly got with Lambert.
Just this revelation on its own was newsworthy and noteworthy.
Heck, we wrote an entire article about it.
But now we get to write a follow-up because Shelton has seemingly responded to the rumor that his ex-wife is a homewrecker by Tweeting the following:
Been taking the high road for a long time.. I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!!
Whoa there!
Well, alright then!
Do you want a coat from all the shivering you must be doing now that so much shade has been hurled in your direction, Miranda?
There’s really no way for anyone to interpret Blake’s message as anything other than a statement that Lambert cheated on him.
The stars were married for four years and then split up in 2015 amid chatter that each side was unfaithful.
But Shelton said very little at the time.
He said at every occasion that he and Lambert would always be close and he’d always have a special place in his heart for her and yadda, yadda, yadda.
However, it’s not as though there weren’t rumblings of Lambert’s cheating.
Heck, there was one rumbling that said she cheated on Shelton FIVE times.
The following tabloid cover alleged as much, quoting an insider who said Shelton caught Lambert in the act as one point and was left “heartbroken and furious” by her actions.
If these reports were accurate, it would be hard to blame Shelton for now enjoying the fact that Lambert’s reputation has taken a hit due to her sexual intercourse with a married man.
The country legend, of course, has moved very far on from Lambert.
He’s been happily dating Gwen Stefani for ages, constantly gushing over her on Instagram and considering marrying her, if certain gossip out there is to be believed.
Shelton also once said the following to Billboard about Stefani, who had recently broken up with husband Gavin Rossdale when she became intimate with Blake:
“Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician? You can’t even imagine the similarities in our divorces.”
If you’ll recall, Rossdale supposedly cheated on Stefani for years with the couple’s nanny.
Could being the victims of cheating be what Shelton was talking about when citing the pair’s “similarities.”

Evan Rachel Wood: This is Why I"ve Never Named My Rapists!
With the very public accusations of Harvey Weinstein raping multiple women and the details of decades of sexual harassment against women working in the film industry, a lot of people are talking about how this happens.
Along with rightful condemnations, there are also people asking why these women — some of whom are quite famous — stayed quiet for so long.
Evan Rachel Wood, herself an actress and also a rape survivor, has made a lengthy video in which she shares her thoughts on why women — herself included — don"t come forward sooner.
In the lengthy but captivating video titled "I"m here to tell you that I"m afraid," Evan Rachel Wood first discusses the politicization of the Harvey Weinstein story and how both sides of the political aisle aren"t helping anyone by trying to make it a political issue.
She"s right — it doesn"t matter what side of the aisle a rapist is on. We should all stand united against that sort of evil.
Then she talks about what makes women so often take so long to report sexual assaults.
"In this case, and in many cases, when women come forward with a story about sexual assault or sexual harassment, people are very quick to try to discredit them or knock them down or look for any sign of foul play or any reason not to believe them."
That is a tragic reality. Everyone plays a volunteer defense attorney.
"I think that some of this comes from trying to protect innocent people from being accused falsely."
Keep in mind that false accusations, though extremely rare in proportion to the number of actual sexual assaults, do occasionally happen.
"But we"ve got to find a way to find a balance, because right now, people are wondering why more women didn"t come forward sooner. And why in a lot of these cases, one woman will come out multiple women will come out and then the floodgates are open."
She explains why that happens.
"People are wondering why women don"t come forward sooner or why they come out in numbers. It"s because it"s safer. They do not feel safe enough to do so. Period."
Safety in numbers, right?
"And I"m guilty of this as well, because I have not named my abusers."
That is totally her choice to make. None of us can decide for her.
"Not because I don"t plan on saying people"s names eventually, but because … to start that process is an emotionally draining, financially draining, really everything-draining thing to do."
That"s sadly true. It"s not uncommon for wealthy rapists to sue their victims into silence. Rape is very difficult to prove in our justice system, sadly, which also means that it"s difficult to prove if you"re sued for slander or defamation for calling someone out on being a sexual predator.
And lawsuits are horribly expensive. You can win a lawsuit and still go bankrupt.
But she says that she"ll do it when she"s ready.
"If you want to know who my perpetrators were, they were very powerful, very rich, very entitled, very narcissistic white men."
That is, unfortunately, not an uncommon profile for sexual predators.
"And I haven"t named my abusers for a number of reasons. One, I"m one person against some very powerful people. Two, money and time and re-traumatizing yourself. To go after the person who assaulted you takes quite a toll. It is a terrifying thing to have to go through."
With members of the public scrutinizing everything you"ve said and done out of what looks like some perverse drive to defend the accused, it sure sounds terrifying.
"Mainly because you"re at risk of not being believed, you career being hurt, you being drained of your finances. Because it costs a lot of money to file a lawsuit and to go to court with somebody. Especially if all that you have is your word against theirs."
Like we said, wealth can be a powerful suit of armor against all sorts of allegations.
"And especially if these are very powerful people. Once again, you"re at the mercy of your abusers. And you"ve kicked a hornet"s nest. And you have a target on your back."
Evan Rachel Wood speaks about how all of this can be discouraging to women who have been raped by less powerful men, too.
"Look at all of the people that have gone free. There is something in society that tells us not to trust women. And there"s something in society that makes us desensitized."
That is a sad, sad reality.
As for why Evan Rachel Wood doesn"t name the men who assaulted her, even though they might prey upon other women?
"I am not ready to go through that and to relive those things."
We absolutely do not blame her. No one can make that decision for a survivor of any kind of assault or abuse.

Evan Bass and Carly Waddell Reveal Sex of Their Baby
Evan Bass and Carly Waddell met while participating on Bachelor in Paradise last summer, and their relationship is one of few Bachelor Nation romances that has survived the test of time.
Seriously, it’s great that there is news of a success story after all of the negative press the series has received of late what with the whole Corinne Olympios and Demario Jackson getting hot and heavy in the swimming pool.
We can’t forget that production was shut down on the back of the wild sex romp.
Evan and Carly returned to paradise earlier this year to get married, and their wedding was even televised. With marriage out of the way, the next big question was when to expect a child.
Thankfully, they are officially with child and have hit up Instagram to reveal the gender of their little bundle of joy.
Waddell was overjoyed with the gender, saying: “This is our professional Gender Reveal photo! IT’S A GIRL!!!! I’m not the only girl anymore! Woo Hoo!!!!”
Meanwhile, Evan chatted with E! News about the gender reveal, and how happy everyone it was a girl.
“We are absolutely out of our minds with happiness,” Bass told E! News.
“Our whole family was hoping for a girl, and it’s a dream come true. When we found out we both started crying our eyes out with tears of happiness.”
“We are already planning an all pink room. The boys freaked out.”
Evan even opened up about just how lucky he felt and the impulsive thing it made him do.
“Also, I was feeling extremely lucky, so I went out and bought a lottery ticket for the first time since I was 18. I didn’t win so I guess I’m not that lucky.”
Evan was definitely unlucky in love before he met Carly, so we’re glad their romance in paradise managed to remain solid when they returned to the United States of America.
It was just two weeks ago that they confirmed the pregnancy news.
“SECRET IS OUT GUYS!!!! Evan and I are SO EXCITED to announce we are HAVING A BABY!!!” Carly wrote on Instagram, adding: “What a beautiful, wonderful, wild year it has been and the adventure continues Feb 2018!”
Which milestone will come next for the couple? This romance is showing no signs of slowing down, and we’re totally on board with it.

The couple, who met on the set of this Bachelor/Bachelorette spinoff and then got engaged on the third season finale, made a major announcement on Sunday:

“SECRET IS OUT GUYS!!!! Evan and I are SO EXCITED to announce we are HAVING A BABY!!!” Carly wrote on Instagram, adding:
“What a beautiful, wonderful, wild year it has been and the adventure continues Feb 2018!”
Bass and Waddell exchanged vows just two months ago in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The ceremony was officiated by none other than Chris Harrison.
“We had a dream wedding on Saturday. It was truly the perfect day with friends and family in Mexico,” the newlyweds told People Magazine (the same outlet that broke this pregnancy news) at the time.
While Bachelor in Paradise is known more for drunken hook-ups than truly romantic entanglements, Evan and Carly changed that perception a bit last year.
Just consider the former’s on-air proposal, during which he said the following:
“Carly, our life in Paradise has been nothing short of epic. My love for you has only gotten stronger.
“And the love I feel from you is the most amazing, inexplicable, mind-blowing thing that I just never in a million years thought I would get.
“I feel like my heart beats to your soul.”
Did anyone else just experience ALL THE FEELINGS?
The wedding between these Bachelor in Paradise alums was scheduled to air during the upcoming fourth season.
However, those plans were scrapped after the aforementioned scandal between Olympios and Jackson, which resulted in an internal investigation that eventually put to rest all talk of sexual misconduct.
Season 4 is now set to premiere on August 14.

Evan Rachel Wood SLAMS Ben Affleck for Old Homophobic Comment!
One of the things about being a celebrity is that the dumb stuff that you say lasts forever, and that’s been the case since before the internet was even a thing.
To no one’s real surprise, Ben Affleck said something dumb — 20 years ago. That statement was published, and Evan Rachel Wood blasted him into next week.
We’re getting some Sad Ben Affleck vibes again.
So, 20 years ago, Ben Affleck had a same-sex kiss in a film called Chasing Amy.
Paper Magazine decided to share that in a wildly clickbaity tweet that made it sound like he’d just said it:
“Ben Affleck says gay kissing is ‘the biggest acting challenge an actor could face."”
That line is followed by a link to the article and then an emoji used to indicate judgmental pondering.
Clearly, it was designed to evoke outrage directed at, quite frankly, an easy target.
And, of course, to get retweets and clicks. Everybody understands that.
Evan Rachel Wood saw the tweet.
We don’t know if she saw or read the article before making her first tweet.
But honestly, it doesn’t really matter.
Ben’s statement was a dumbass and homophobic thing to say in the ’90s, too.
Even if society didn’t think so.
“Try getting raped in a scene. Also, grow up Ben.”
She’s had some famously upsetting sexual assault scenes on Westworld.
(Though no one should ever make a robot with genuine feelings or the capacity for suffering but that’s a Westworld rant for another day)
Remember that sexual assault is not just an acting issue for Evan Rachel Wood, who has been raped.
It’s a far too common experience.
Obviously, he’s “grown up” since he made that statement, and someone pointed that out.
Evan Rachel Wood responded:
“I’m sure he just thought it was funny, but even jokes like that are damaging.”
She’s absolutely right, of course.
Homophobic jokes contribute to the same homophobic culture that leads to gay people dying.
Evan Rachel Wood is bi, so this has to hit close to home for her, and not just as an actress.
She follows up with a delightful burn, though it’s not directed solely at Ben Affleck.
“Also, you think us ladies like kissing all the guys we kiss? Just ‘cause it’s a ‘straight kiss’ doesn’t mean we enjoy it. Ahem.”
She is such a gift.
We’d ask someone to print out and frame that tweet, but even though it was made just yesterday, Evan Rachel Wood has already deleted it.
Not because of regrets, but because people who don’t follow her apparently took notice and started spamming her mentions with vitriol.
She explained deleting the mini-thread in a new tweet:
“I have deleted the thread because of the sickening things people have written in response.”
But she made it clear that she’s not running — just avoiding giving a platform to evil.
“I dont want to give that kind of hatred a place.”
We can only guess the sorts of homophobic things that were showing up in her mentions.
Things about her, to be sure.
And likely unspeakable things about male kissing or perhaps even sexual assault.
People will say all sorts of things when they’re in a mob and when they believe that they’re anonymous.
Platforms like Twitter give awful people an experience that combines anonymity and mob mentality.
Though most of us on Twitter just want to talk about politics and video games and memes.
Even though his comments weren’t okay back in the ’90s or today, we don’t think that Ben Affleck would say something that dumb anymore.
Sure, he might play a Batman who has guns on his Batmobile, even though that makes zero sense for the character.
That’s not on the same level as transparent homophobia.
But, even if Ben Affleck’s girlfriend is pregnant, we don’t think that he’s going to reinforce those homophobic ideas on a future generation.
For the record, kissing someone, whether you’re attracted to them or their gender or not, isn’t a big deal.
Not when you’re past high school, anyway.
Actors kiss people they aren’t attracted to all of the time.
Goodness, how many women has Matt Bomer kissed on screen?
Or Thomas Dekker, who only just came out? Or Colton Haynes?
The only difference between their “acting challenge” of kissing ladies on screen and Ben’s of kissing a man is homophobia.

Evan Bass and Carly Waddell: Married!
Evan Bass and Carly Waddell may wind up to be the final couple from Bachelor in Paradise to get married.
With the fate of the ABC reality series up in the air, the love birds married during a ceremony in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. Unsurprisingly, the event was officiated by self-proclaimed love guru Chris Harrison.
With the nuptials set to be broadcast on the dating series, it was always a given that Chris would be involved in the ceremony in some way.
Guests at the event included fellow Bachelor Nation stars Kaitlyn Bristowe, Nick Viall, and Vanessa Grimaldi. All three were given front row seats to the lavish ceremony which took place on a beach.
Carly went with a strapless dress, and her hair pulled back, while Evan went with a gray suit. Apparently, each of their vows spanned 20 minutes. Hey, they needed to do something to show off the fact that they were a worthy couple from the franchise.
Neil Lane was the man who created both of the rings, so it seems like the producers like to use the same person over and over again for Bachelor Nation bling.
Fittingly, the wedding took place in the same area that Bachelor in Paradise is filmed. Bass and Waddell is now the only couple still together from Season 3 of the series.
The pair looked smitten on the series, so we can only imagine how happy they were to finally tie the knot. They are a rare example of how the franchise can bring two people together.
It’s unclear when the wedding event will air since it was originally meant to be packaged together with an episode of Bachelor in Paradise.
As you are all likely aware, production was halted on the series earlier this month after alleged misconduct on the set. That misconduct stemmed from a wild sex scene between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson.
Corinne is adamant that she did not consent to the sexual encounter and is claiming she was too drunk to do so. Both parties have lawyered up in the aftermath of it all.
In the midst of the drama, Evan opened up to The Hollywood Reporter, saying he hopes the series does not come to an end because of what went down.
“When the news about Paradise production broke the internet, it also broke my heart,” Bass wrote in a guest column posted in The Hollywood Reporter.
“While to some it’s a silly TV show, for me, it was an experience that changed my life in unimaginable ways. I am troubled thinking about the allegations happening on my favorite beach, and I’m sad that some couples will not have the opportunity to find love in a powerful and unique way.”
“Let me reiterate by saying that I do not want to downplay the seriousness of this very difficult situation. My heart goes out to Corinne and everyone negatively affected by this. I pray for peace and healing to begin and personal growth for all,” he said.
“And Paradise must come back, if not this season, then next season.”
The former contestant went on to claim that the “Bachelor shows are important to millions” and are a “beautiful juxtaposition of parody and melodrama that illuminate on our own lives.”
He also said they highlight “important topics the public wrestles with.” We’re not sure what the heck that means because everyone who has ever been on the show looks rather glamorous.
“This ‘scandal’ has had the unintended consequence of bringing the discussion about ‘consent’ to the forefront of people’s minds,” he wrote. “Frankly, although the circumstances suck and no one wishes harm on anyone, the learning edge of this has been powerful. We all want healthy relationships and to be treated with respect.”
