Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson: Back Together After All These Years?

There’s a rumor going around that Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson have made their way back into each other’s arms.

A source told British tabloid Heat that Holmes and Jackson “had lunch together and things went from there.  Pretty soon, they were texting and talking to each other almost every day and spending time together whenever they got a chance.”

Jackson split up with Diane Kruger after ten years together, which was confirmed by their rep on July 18th.

Holmes had reportedly parted ways with rumored boyfriend Jamie Foxx (a relationship which was never confirmed), so the former Dawson’s Creek co-stars made like Joey and Pacey and got back together.

Another source told Life & Style that Holmes and Jackson’s “friends are convinced they’re more than just old buddies.”

Despite fans really, really, really wanting this to be true, Holmes’ rep shot down the story to Gossip Cop.  In fact, Holmes’ team told Life & Style  the same thing, but the tabloid ran the story anyway “just to stir up a rumor.”

In fact, the rep continued, Holmes and Jackson haven’t been in contact in a long time.

What’s weird is that in 2012, Jackson confirmed that Holmes called him up to reconnect after her split from Tom Cruise.

“Like any old friend, it was like, ‘Oh, hi how are ya? What’s going on?’; ‘I had a kid,"” Jackson recalled during an appearance on a Canadian talk show.

“It was very nice, actually.”

In September 1998, Holmes told Rolling Stone that she was smitten-kitten with Jackson.

“I’m just going to say that I met somebody last year, I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable,” she said at the time.

“I feel so fortunate because he’s now one of my best friends. It’s weird, it’s almost like a Dawson-and-Joey type thing now.  He’s been in the business so long, and he’s really helped me. I respect him as a friend and as a professional.”

BRB, going to destroy my Joey and Pace dream board. Thanks, Gossip Cop.

John Saunders Dies; Veteran ESPN Broadcaster Was 61

John Saunders, a long-time broadcaster and journalist for ESPN, died suddenly today at the age of 61.

Saunders hosted studio and play-by-play programming on the network for decades.

He covered a wide range of sports, from college football… to basketball… to professional hockey, often anchoring SportsCenter and serving for years as host of The Sports Reporters.

Saunders was a founding member of The V Foundation for Cancer Research and served on its board of directors, having been very close to late NC State Coach Jim Valvano, after whom the charity is named.

He was considered, by viewers and employees alike, as one of the most respected and professional members of the large ESPN staff.

Saunders was born in Canada and was an all-star defenseman in the junior hockey leagues of Montreal.

He then went on to play at Western Michigan before becoming one of the most prominent broadcasters of his era.

Colleague Hannah Storm was forced to make a live announcement of Saunders’ death while reporting from Brazil.

Here it is:

In response to this tragic news, John Skipper, president of ESPN and co-chairman of Disney Media Networks, has released the following statement:

John was an extraordinary talent and his friendly, informative style has been a warm welcome to sports fans for decades.

His wide range of accomplishments across numerous sports and championship events is among the most impressive this industry has ever seen.

More importantly, John was a beloved and devoted family man who cared deeply about people and causes, as evidenced by his long-standing efforts as a passionate board member for The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Added Skipper:

He was one of the most significant and influential members of the ESPN family, as a colleague and mentor, and he will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this extremely difficult time.

Saunders joined ESPN in December 1986 as a SportsCenter anchor.

He hosted ESPN’s coverage of the Stanley Cup playoffs from 1993 to 2004 and also worked on coverage of the World Series and Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game.

Expect endless tributes to pour forth today and this week from his co-workers, but we’ll start here with a couple.

Wrote Chris Mortensen on Twitter early Wednesday:

“The news of John Saunders’ death could not be more crushing. We all loved him dearly. We grieve. We will miss him. Can’t replace the man.”

ESPN’s Adam Scheffer, meanwhile, said he was “sickened and saddened” by the news.

No details regarding Saunders’ death are available at this time.

“John Saunders represented everything that was good in a human being. He was all about family and helping people,” said Dick Vitale, a longtime colleague of Saunders.

“He was as good as it gets and he had deep loyalty and love for others. His work with The V Foundation was so special — he loved Jimmy V and poured his heart and soul into the cause.

He was always willing to share and give, and he played a vital role in the success of helping so many. I can’t believe this stunning and horrible news. He will be forever in our thoughts.”

Saunders is survived by wife Wanda and daughters Aleah and Jenna.

We send them our condolences.

Farrah Abraham SLAMS Other Teen Moms: They"re Exploiting Their Kids For Fame!

Farrah Abraham saying awful things in interviews is nothing new.

Farrah offering up a hot take on other people’s integrity and parenting skills, however, is at least somewhat unexpected.

We’ve already discussed Farrah’s interview on the Allegedly podcast earlier this week, but the thing is so loaded with WTF?! moments, we’re gonna need to attack it from multiple angles.

After discussing her many, many (many) plastic surgery procedures, Farrah offered up a word salad tossed in Palin’s Own dressing:

“I know how to give passion more into the universe, and I think it lacks it so much that I wouldn’t be happy if I didn’t improve where I was,” she said.

“That’s the kind of soul that I got.”

If you’re thinking to yourself that it sounds like someone cut up a bunch of bumper stickers, threw them into a bag and pulled them out at random, you’re definitely not alone.

But don’t worry, Farrah quickly set aside the pseudo-spiritual mumbo-jumbo to do what she does best – throw serious shade:

During a discussion about Farrah’s many business ventures, host Theo Vonn asked if she would consider having another kid in order to cash in by raising her public profile.

Farrah responded as only she could:

“That option has been taken by all of my other cast members,” she answered.

“They have really milked the sh-t out of that one.”

Farrah’s been criticized for her parenting several times in recent weeks, so it’s not unreasonable for her to respond in kind.

However, it is unreasonable for her to suggest that the other women on Teen Mom had kids just to get famous!

Of course, “unreasonable” is pretty much Farrah’s middle name, so there’s very little she could do to surprise us at this point.

The new season of Teen Mom: OG debuts on MTV on August 22.

Watch Teen Mom online at TV Fanatic in order to get caught up in time for the premiere – or to just relive Farrah’s many batsh-t moments.

Gigi Gorgeous, Transgender YouTube Star, Detained in Dubai

Gigi Gorgeous, a transgender model and a very good friend of Kylie Jenner, ran into a serious problem while visiting Dubai this week.

In news broken by TMZ, Gorgeous was detained for several hours at the airport due to her transgender status.

Having risen to impressive levels of Internet fame for documenting her transition on social media, Gigi told the website that she was stopped at immigration.

“I was told you are transgender. You cannot come into the country,” Gigi explained to TMZ.

Gorgeous was born Gregory Lazzarato.

However, she says her passport has been updated since she her gender change and now reads “Gigi Loren.”

Airport police, however, claim the document describes Giig as male and the passport photo depicts Gigi as a male.

Gigi’s response to this assertion? It simply isn’t true.

It is sadly true that, in Dubai, the “imitation of women by men” is illegal and that violators face up to a year in prison.

It appears now as if Gorgeous is back in America, having updated her Instagram account with a photo of her friend, Nats Getty, hugging her at the airport.

She wrote a long caption along with the photo, detailing her ordeal overseas.

Saved!

“After being detained and held at the Dubai airport for over 5 hours, this was the moment my baby came to rescue me,” Gigi wrote this morning.

“Yesterday was one of the scariest moments of my entire life and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.

How you can be denied entry somewhere just because of who you are is seriously disgusting and also very scary.”

She concluded:

“This further proves the need for CHANGE.

“I am now on my way to somewhere much more accepting. Safe and sound and happy. I love you guys.”

In 2014, Gigi made this significant change in her life, documenting the journey on social media.

As a result, she earned a large Internet following, having amassed over 2.3 million YouTube subscribers at last check.

Which is a great start. We obviously hope all of those subscribers are also supporters of Gigi.

Still, the transgender issue clearly remains a polarizing one not just here, but across the globe.

Let’s hope that changes soon.
