Zendaya Details Racist Run-In at Supermarket

Zendaya Coleman finds herself at the center of another allegedly racist scandal.

The actress, who was the subject of inappropriate criticism from Giuliana Rancic after the Academy Awards last year, has shared a Snapchat video with her followers.

In this footage (below), Zendaya and a friend detail how she was victim of racism at a supermarket, claiming that a clerk refusing to serve her and even hurled her wallet back at her when she tried to buy $ 400 in gift cards.

"The lady that was helping us… I don"t think she was a huge fan of our skin tone," the Spider-Man: Homecoming* actress told fans on Tuesday night.

(*Oh, and Coleman has also received flak for her role in this Spider-Man franchise edition.)

Zendaya said the clerk told her that she simply could not afford the gift cards before throwing her wallet, causing her cards and other items to fall out.

"I can"t make this shit up!" Zendaya said into the camera.

The 20-year-old star then added"This is what we deal with…" before her male pal jumped in and concluded her thought:

"Because we"re black."

A manager eventually came along and helped Zendaya make her purchase, but not until after the clerk gave her a hard time.

""You can"t afford this," is how she looked at me," Zendaya said. "It was $ 400!"

Coleman says the incident took place at Vons supermarket. Reps for the chain have yet to comment on the incident.

"Long story short, there"s so much progress to be done in our world," Zendaya said.

That"s for certain.

Someone call Colin Kaepernick!

Check out Zendaya"s video below and her explanation of what happened.

Patrick Dempsey: Lots Of Sex Saved My Marriage!

Patrick Dempsey’s life is kind of great right now.

Not only does he star in the highly-anticipated Bridget Jones’s Baby (out September 16th), but Dempsey has also saved his 15-year marriage to wife Jillian.

In January 2015, Jillian filed for divorce from the Grey’s Anatomy alum, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.

A year later, the two decided to give their marriage another try.

Dempsey told People Magazine that he was willing to do whatever it took to win Jillian back.

“Our marriage was not something I was prepared to let go of,” he said.

“I didn’t feel like we had done all the work. And we both wanted to do that work. That’s where it started.”

Jillian’s filing was “scary,” Dempsey recalled.

“It’s always destabilizing when you’re potentially breaking up a family or you have a big section of your life that’s ending.”

Dempsey credits couples counseling, which he deemed “very important,” for making their union stronger, but it’s what happens outside of the therapist’s room that matters just as much.

“You’ve got to keep at it,” Dempsey, who has three children with his wife – Talula, 16, and twins Darby and Sullivan, 8, said.

“You’ve got to communicate, and stay open and not get lazy. And not give up. And lots of sex!”

Dempsey admitted to ES Magazine that his intense love affair with car racing took its toll on the marriage, but he’s not one to admit failure when it comes to his family.

“Everybody has their own path,” Dempsey explained.

“Jill and I decided it was time to work on our issues and improve. We wanted to be role models for our kids like, okay, if you have differences, you can work them out.”

The Dempseys were spotted in Europe together last year while Jillian served as Jennifer Lawrence’s makeup artist on The Hunger Games: Jay Part 2 European premieres., a clear sign that they were working on getting back together.

“You can only do one thing at a time and do it well,” he says.

“I [learned] to prioritize. Our union has to be the priority. I wasn’t prepared to give up on her and she wasn’t either. We both wanted to fight for it.”

Tyler Baltierra: I Want to Quit Teen Mom!

Just about every star of the Teen Mom franchise has complained about the show’s editing at some point.

But fan favorite Tyler Baltierra just took things a step further.

During this week’s episode of Teen Mom, Tyler and his wife, Catelynn Lowell, tweeted that an Easter celebration scene was cobbled together by producers in order to make it look as though they were in the same place.

In reality, it seems the scene was shot while Catelynn was in rehab, being treated for depression and anxiety issues.

Following in the footsteps of disgruntled Teen Moms such as Jenelle Evans and Leah Messer, Catelynn took to social media to inform fans that the episode was misleading:

“Funny thing I WASN’T even there, c how editing can portray false things?” Catelynn tweeted.

Tyler commented:

“Lmao! I did these Easter bunny pics for you while you were in rehab babe. Now you’re magically there on TV…weird.”

It’s not uncommon for reality show cast members to gripe that they’re being portrayed inaccurately, but Tyler proceeded to go further by revealing that he often has second thoughts about his continued involvement with MTV.

Asked by a fan if he’s ever considered quitting Teen Mom, Tyler replied:

“Absolutely! I’m just a pawn for their ratings, which they will manipulate any storyline to get ratings.”

Not surprisingly, several fans replied by expressing their belief that if Baltierra is so fed up with the series that made him rich and famous, he should follow through and actually resign.

“Seriously, then quit the show,” wrote one viewer. “Have some integrity, get an actual job. Until then, stop complaining.”

Once considered the reality franchise’s most stable couple, Tyler and Catelynn have come under fire in recent weeks for a number of reasons.

Some fans believe that the Baltierras are unfairly forcing the couple who adopted their first child to remain in the spotlight, and Tyler was slammed for fat-shaming Catelynn on a recent episode.

It’s true that just about every longtime reality star has complained about how they’re perceived by fans at one point or another.

But no one gripes about the way their show is shot and edited quite as much as the Teen Moms and the men in their lives.

The bizarre part is that unlike on other reality shows, Teen Mom producers frequently appear on camera and interact with the cast.

In fact, last season, the show made waves as a result of a scene that showed Farrah Abraham hitting a producer during an argument.

It seems whether they like it or not the shows staff are increasingly becoming part of the drama.

Father Shares First Dance With Daughter, Dies Minutes Later

What should have been the most joyous day in the life of one family tragically turned into its biggest nightmare this week.

This past Saturday in Costa Rica, Michelle Howard married Luis Diego Granera.

According to WSPA, the bride had just finished the traditional father-daughter dance with her dad, Tim Buchanan, when the latter suffered a heart attack.

He did not survive this incident and passed away at the age of 54.

Buchanan had worked as a detective in South Carolina, with South Carolina Sheriffs’ Association sharing a Facebook message about the tragedy on Monday.

“What a heartbreaking story! Our hearts and prayers go out to the Buchanan family and the entire York County Sheriff’s Office over the sudden loss of Detective Tim Buchanan,” the post reads.

It added that those who wanted to could assist the Buchanan family with its unexpected expense via a GoFundMe page.

You can visit this page and contribute HERE.

Buchanan’s wife, Jeni, who actually worked as a wedding photographer, posted about the tragedy on her Facebook page as well

“You never know when the last time will be the last time!” she wrote as the beginning of a lengthy caption to the photo above.

“Tim came into my life at a time when I was broken to the core and held me up and built me into a strong person. Over the years we raised four amazing children, cared for my little brothers when they needed us the most and had even had the honor of a beautiful grandchild.

“He was the most beautiful soul I have ever known and I will never be the same without him. I know he loved me and our family.

“I am so very grateful for this image of us that our dear friends Kelly Rae Stewart and her husband snuck during our daughter’s wedding yesterday. Little did I know just a few hours later we would lose him.

“****Please no phone calls right now.****

“I am still in Costa Rica and on top of that I just can’t deal with much right now. Once we have plans settled, someone will update or announce them. For now, just pray.

“He was always the one to make us feel better when things went wrong and so we need all the prayers we can get.”

The aforementioned GoFundMe page raised raised over $ 12,000 within the first few hours it went live.

The York County Sheriff’s Department also went ahead and honored Buchanan on its own Facebook page.
