Zendaya Details Racist Run-In at Supermarket

Zendaya Coleman finds herself at the center of another allegedly racist scandal.

The actress, who was the subject of inappropriate criticism from Giuliana Rancic after the Academy Awards last year, has shared a Snapchat video with her followers.

In this footage (below), Zendaya and a friend detail how she was victim of racism at a supermarket, claiming that a clerk refusing to serve her and even hurled her wallet back at her when she tried to buy $ 400 in gift cards.

"The lady that was helping us… I don"t think she was a huge fan of our skin tone," the Spider-Man: Homecoming* actress told fans on Tuesday night.

(*Oh, and Coleman has also received flak for her role in this Spider-Man franchise edition.)

Zendaya said the clerk told her that she simply could not afford the gift cards before throwing her wallet, causing her cards and other items to fall out.

"I can"t make this shit up!" Zendaya said into the camera.

The 20-year-old star then added"This is what we deal with…" before her male pal jumped in and concluded her thought:

"Because we"re black."

A manager eventually came along and helped Zendaya make her purchase, but not until after the clerk gave her a hard time.

""You can"t afford this," is how she looked at me," Zendaya said. "It was $ 400!"

Coleman says the incident took place at Vons supermarket. Reps for the chain have yet to comment on the incident.

"Long story short, there"s so much progress to be done in our world," Zendaya said.

That"s for certain.

Someone call Colin Kaepernick!

Check out Zendaya"s video below and her explanation of what happened.
