Just last week, Nicki Minaj took the stage at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards to perform alongside Ariana Grande.
Needless to say, the rapper wasn’t showing even a shadow of a baby bump, which makes the latest Instagram post from her fiance Meek Mill post all the more puzzling.
Over the weekend, Meek posted the pic above, along with a caption reading:
“Haters will say it’s #photoshopped”
Now those words have become a short of social media catchphrase, so it’s possible that Meek was just joking with his fans.
But it’s also possible that this is his way of announcing that he and Nicki are expecting their first kid.
Given that there’s been no sort of follow-up announcement, the prevailing theory amongst Meek’s followers is that the rapper is simply having a laugh with his fans.
Of course, that begs the question:
If Nicki’s not knocked then what’s the deal with this photo?
Well, some online sleuths believe they have it all figured.
Several commenters have suggested that that photo is not Nicki at all, but an Australian Instagram model by the name of Tammy Hembrow, who bears somewhat of a resemblance to Nicki.
Check out a photo of Tammy and decide for yourself:
Rumors that Nicki is pregnant seem to surface every few months, and in this case, we’re yet again inclined to side with the skeptics.
For starters, there’s the obvious fact that she was rocking her usual hourglass figure at the VMAs just a few days before Meek posted her “baby bump” pic.
She’s also been posting some pretty racy selfies online lately.
Needless to say, Nicki isn’t exactly the shrinking violet type.
If she were knocked up, we doubt the world would find out via a quiet announcement on her fiance’s Instagram page.
Whatever the case, at this point, what we’re really hoping for is that Nicki will jump into the Drake-Meek Mill feud, thus prompting Drake’s new boo Rihanna to get involved.
The hip hop world has never seen a great four-way couples’ feud.
And after the year of endless political mudslinging and tragic celebrity deaths that we’ve endured, this country deserves an awesome distraction.
Make it happen, y’all!
