Fiona Apple Revises Christmas Song, ROASTS Donald Trump
You don"t hear much from Fiona Apple these days.
And, after listening to the song below, we"re guessing many Donald Trump voters won"t want to hear much from Fiona Apple going forward, either.
The former MTV Video Music Award winner has gone viral with her updated version of "The Christmas Song," revising the original classic with brand new lyrics, all of which take direct aim at the President-Elect.
In a new video posted to her Tumblr page, Apple sings a satirical version of Nat King Cole’s holiday single, opening by crooning about how “Trump’s nuts roasting on an open fire.”
From there, the parody blasts Trump for his multitude of sexual assault allegations (“You’ll cry creepy uncle every time he arrives/ For he keeps clawing at your clothes”) … along with his racism (“Mothers of color with their kids out of sight/ Will find it hard to sleep at night”).
And just in case you get through most of the song and still aren"t sure where Apple stands?
Just in case you need her to make her opinion on the 45th President of the United States to be as clear as humanly possible?
