Mehgan James: BUSTED Lying About Rob Kardashian Relationship!

Last week, we reported on rumors that Rob Kardashian is dating Mehgan James, a reality star best known for her time on VH1’s Bad Girls Club.

Several media outlets seemed certain that the relationship was the real deal and that Rob and Meghan had been seeing each other on the down-low for months.

As more details rolled in, however, the situation became increasingly sketchy.

Eventually, Rob himself took to social media to deny that he’s dating Mehgan, insisting that he’s never even met the troubled 27-year-old.

“Wait reading online about some chick I’m dating Megan something,” Rob tweeted.

“Not true never even met or heard of her before.”

The dual takeaways from this tweet seem abundantly clear:

1. Someone needs to introduce Rob to our old friend Mr. Punctuation, and 2. he’s legitimately not hooking up with Meghan.

After all, Rob isn’t one to deny that he’s sleeping with a hot, young, semi-famous woman unless there’s really just no shred of truth to the rumor.

So how did news of this phony couple spread so far so fast?

Well, it seems Mehgan may have had a hand creating the false impression that she and Rob are an item.

At first, James pretended she was just as shocked by the situation as everyone else.

But a new report from TMZ accuses her of spreading the rumor herself in an effort to boost her public profile.

Sources close to the situation say that James and her team reported the fake relationship to a number of tabloids and media outlets, so as to help the aspiring model accumulate a larger online following.

The sad thing is, the ploy seems to have been effective.

Mehgan’s Instagram following has doubled – reaching a total of more than 800,000 – in the week since news of her alleged relationship with Rob first broke.

Judging by the comments on some of her pics, however, she’s already experiencing some backlash from her ill-conceived publicity stunt.

Sources say Rob’s baby mama, Blac Chyna, is especially disgusted by the situation, and we don’t blame her.

After all, if you’re gonna use Rob for fame, the least you could do is go an actual date with the guy!

That’s just common decency.

Bill Maher Apologizes for Racial Slur; Should He Be Fired?

Bill Maher has a few words to say about his use of a racial epithet last week.

But will HBO have the final say when it comes to this comedian’s future with the company?

On Friday’s edition of Real Time, Maher was conducting an interview with Nebraska Senator Bill Sasse when the politician invited the talk show host to visit Nebraska at some point in the future.

“We’d love to have you work in the fields with us,” Sasse said to Maher, a comment that prompted the following response from Maher:

“Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house n-gger.”

Many members of the crowd immediately groaned and expressed their discomfort with the remark, which led Maher to basically tell everyone to calm down because it was merely a “joke.”

But Twitter users and many celebrities joined in the chorus of those who believed the word usage was way out of line.

Not long after the episode aired, HBO released a statement that condemned the comedian’s quip.

“Bill Maher’s comment last night was completely inexcusable and tasteless,” said the network, adding:

We are removing his deeply offensive comment from any subsequent airings of the show.”

Sasse then Tweeted his take on the exchange, which included regret that he didn’t bring up the epithet as soon as it left Maher’s mouth.

“Am walking off a redeye from LAX. 3 reflections on @billmaher,” wrote the Republican senator, expounding as follows:

“I’m a 1st Amendment absolutist. Comedians get latitude to cross hard lines. But free speech comes with a responsibility to speak up when folks use that word. Me just cringing last night wasn’t good enough…

“Here’s what I wish I’d been quick enough to say in the moment:

‘Hold up, why would you think it’s OK to use that word? The history of the n-word is an attack on universal human dignity. It’s therefore an attack on the American Creed.

“Don’t use it.”

Now, with the backlash continuing to spread around the Internet, Maher has come out and issued an apology.

“Friday nights are always my worst night of sleep because I’m up reflecting on the things I should or shouldn’t have said on my live show,” he said on Saturday.

“Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of a live moment.

“The word was offensive and I regret saying it and am very sorry.”

Maher may very well be sorry, but this isn’t the first time he’s perhaps taken a so-called joke too far.

Just a few weeks ago, Maher cracked wise about Ivanka Trump, making an incest reference to her and her famous father.

And remember the time he compared Zayn Malik to a terrorist? Ouch.

“There are no exceptions that make this acceptable,” Reverend Al Sharpton said on Sunday of Maher’s N-Word dropping, making it clear that this isn’t a partisan issue.

“He doesn’t get a pass because we’re friends. What Bill Maher did was normalize a word that is anything but normal.”

Podcast host and activist DeRay McKesson, along with Chance the Rapper, are among those who have called for Maher to be fired by HBO.

Do you think this is warranted?

Katy Perry Sends Powerful Message in Manchester: Watch!

Katy Perry kept it simple at the One Love Manchester tribute concert on Sunday night.

As previously reported, Ariana Grande and her team organized a fundraising event over the weekend to raise money for the families of victims killed by a terrorist at her concert on May 22.

There were 22 fatalities in all at that initial show in Manchester, along with dozens and dozens of fans who were sent to the hospital with injuries.

In response, Grande issued a couple of powerful statements, while also teaming with such stars as Perry, Chris Martin, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus for yesterday"s unique show.

Given her chance to pay tribute to all affected by this horrific act, Perry led the audience in a powerful, stripped-down version of "Part of Me," giving her rendition very simple and extremely emotional.

As you can see above and below, the 32-year old artist took to the stage in an all-white outfit and addressed the crowd of 60,000-plus individuals, along with a global audience of millions watching online and on TV at home.

"It’s not easy to always choose love, is it, especially in moments like these, right?” she said, adding:

“It can be the most difficult thing to do. But love conquers fear and love conquers hate. And this love that you choose will give you strength and it’s our greatest power …

"I encourage you to choose love even when it’s difficult. Let no one take that away from you."

Perry then launched into her 2012 hit, turning the pop single into a moving message of empowerment that had her fans singing along at the Emirates Old Trafford Stadium.

It was one of many highlights from the show.

Elsewhere during the evening, Justin Bieber talked about God and hope in delivering a short speech after his two acoustic performances.

And then Grande closed the concert with a version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" that left everyone in tears.

Watch Perry do her part below and let"s all applaud the singers who took time out of their lives to participate in this important, charitable endeavor.

Jobs very well done all around.
