Kaley Cuoco Files For Divorce, Drops Ryan Sweeting"s Last Name

Well, that was fast.

Just 48 hours after the world learned that Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting are separating, the actress filed for divorce and requested that the court restore her name to Kaley Christine Cuoco.

She had been going by Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, both personally and professionally.

We still know very little about what caused the divorce, as Kaley cited “irreconcilable differences” in court documents, but did not offer any specifics.

Thankfully, Kaley and Ryan signed a prenup before their surprise wedding, so the division of assets should go smoothly.

Cuoco and Sweeting got married on New Year’s Eve in 2013 after just three months of dating. Shortly thereafter, Kaley signed a $ 90 million contract that made her the highest-paid actress on television.

Rumors about what led to the end of their marriage have been rampant (It’s even been reported that Kaley blames the “cursed” home that she and Ryan bought from Khloe Kardashian.), but it’s unlikely that either party will ever speak publicly about what caused them to call it quits.

The fact that Kaley was the one to file, coupled with reports that the actress is in “good spirits” and has been spotted dining out with friends, led many to believe that the divorce was her idea.

Considering she’s at the top of her profession, while the highlight of Ryan’s day is the showcase showdown, we’d say that’s a safe bet.
