It’s pretty clear at this point that Taylor Swift has conquered the world of music.
Might she next move on to television?
The singer, who had a memorable cameo on the New Girl Season 2 finale, may sign on for a more dramatic role in the near future, according to a key member of her Squad.
Mariska Hargitay spoke to Entertainment Tonight this week and said she hopes Swift stops by Law & Order: SVU at some point down the line.
“We talked about it,” said the actress, who has played Olivia Benson since Season 1 of the long-running series, adding:
“We’re going to wait until the end of [Swift’s 1989 World] tour to see how it goes. But it’s in the air.”
Swift, of course, has been an enormous fan of Hargitay’s for years. She even has a cat named Olivia Benson.
Hargitay appeared in the artist’s Bad Blood music video, along with Swift’s many other celebrity friends, and walked the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards with Taylor and company.
Law & Order: SVU kicks off Season 17 on Wednesday, September 23, at 9/8c on NBC.
Swift, meanwhile, actually just nabbed an Emmy for original interactive program for her AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience.
