Miley Cyrus didn"t bare a single nipple on stage at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
But she did bare her soul.
The artist was introduced at the event by father Billy Ray Cyrus and sister Noah Cyrus, with the former saying how “proud” he is of his child and the latter joking that Miley is finally wearing “pants” at an awards show.
It was meant as a joke, but it did serve to remind viewers of how far Cyrus has come since her foam finger-waving and crotch-gyrating days.
In this case, Miley simply stood at the microphone and sang a version of her latest single, "Malibu," an emotional ballad that the star has admitted was written about fiance Liam Hemsworth.
Which may explain why she noticeably welled up toward the end of the rendition.
Miley and Liam have been through a great deal over the years, yet have come out the other side as strong and as in love as ever.
Wearing a pair of short white jean shorts and a matching off-the shoulder cropped top with a tan cowboy hat, Miley gave off the impression of a relaxed beach bum while showing off her vocal talent.
And to prove just how impressive a performance she put on, not only did the audience cheer like crazy for Miley when she completed the track…
… but even Nicki Minaj (who blasted Cyrus at the 2015 Video Music Awards) was spotted giving her former rival some major props from the crowd.
We guess everyone has come a long way, huh?
Did you know Miley could sing like THIS?
Prepare to be blown away, dear readers.
