Kenya Moore: Married! Possibly Soon to Be Fired!

Kenya Moore just took a major step in her personal life.

But will it result in a significant change to her professional life.

Scroll down. Allow us to explain…

First, the happy and surprising news: Moore is a married woman!

Following a few days of speculation over whether or not Moore had tied the knot, People Magazine reports that she exchanged vows with an unnamed man in St. Lucia this month.

All anyone knows about Kenya’s brand new husband is that he’s a businessman and the two met about a year ago.

“I’m just ecstatic,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star tells the publication, adding of a true love she has somehow managed to keep a mystery for months:

“This man is the love of my life and I’m so happy to begin our lives together as husband and wife.”

We don’t know exactly when the wedding took place, but Moore shared the following selfie on Instagram on June 5 and wrote as a caption, “it was a great day.”

In subsequent Instagram photo, Moore posted a snapshot of a sunset and also of beach-side meal, complete with two glasses of champagne, two forks and two pairs of sunglasses.

“#AllINeed #thankful,” she wrote as a caption to the image below.

Moore has been a fixture on The Real Housewives of Atlanta since Season 5, having feuded over the years with Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks and Shereé Whitfield.

She’s a former Miss USA who has been very open about relationships with ex-lovers Walter Jackson and Matt Jordan.

Those romances did not work out in the end, and few romances ever do under the glare of a reality TV spotlight.

This may explain why Kenya kept both her current relationship and her eventual wedding secret, but sources tell Hollywood Life that Bravo executives aren’t happy about it.

According to this insider, Moore “didn’t want the wedding to be on the show because it would bring toxicity to the union.

“She also said she didn’t want to have her relationship associated with RHOA in any way, which is why she got married outside of taping.”

That makes sense if Moore is concerned about the marriage working out.

But this doesn’t mean producers have to like it.

They’re allegedly angry that Moore didn’t give them a noteworthy Season 10 storyline by including the engagement and wedding as part of next year’s new set of episodes.

Granted, Phaedra Parks has been fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

And NeNe Leakes has been re-hired.

So there should be plenty of interesting fodder for Season 10.

But we can see both sides of the issue here.

Of course Kenya would want to keep her personal life private. That’s the best way to ensure a long-lasting relationship.

Similarly, of course producers would want all aspects of her personal life to be exposed to the public on television and milked for ratings. That’s the best way to ensure a long-lasting TV show.

We’re not on either side here.

But we do want to send our best wishes to Kenya Moore and her new husband. Congrats on that marriage!
