Hanson SLAMS Justin Bieber: His Music Makes Us Sick!

Hanson — Zac Hanson, the one with the good hair, specifically — has SLAMMED Justin Bieber’s music.

You usually see people dragging the artist himself instead of his art, but Zac clearly has zero chill when it comes to bashing Bieber’s songs, and Isaac isn’t far behind.

At least they’re not throwing things at Bieber … but did they go too far?

You gotta remember Hanson. They might be one-hit wonders from the ’90s, but it was a huge hit.

We don’t recommend rewatching the “MMMBop” music video or you’ll feel ancient beyond reckoning.

But “MMMBop” still lives up to its name, in that it is a bop.

We still have zero idea what any of the lyrics are and, at this point, we’re too afraid to Google it.

And when that song came out, you found out lyrics from reading the inside covers of CD cases (ugh, I’m old).

Anybody who remembers the ’90s remembers “MMMBop” just as surely as they remember Rugrats, the Disney Renaissance, and Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

So in an interview with an Australian radio show, Hanson revealed that they can’t stand Justin Bieber’s music.

Zac Hanson, whose hair is actually even better than it was in the ’90s (if you can imagine!), did not mince words.

“I prefer not to get any venereal diseases, so whenever Justin Bieber gets sort of near me or near my ears… it’s just ear infections, they’re terrible.”

That’s a little intense, right?

We cringed when we heard it.

Isaac chimed in, using the same analogy.

“Chlamydia of the ear, it sucks.”

Yeah that sounds way worse than that cringe-worthy “earworm” term that people use.

We can’t say that we agree about Bieber’s music.

Like, Justin’s music has never and will never have the overpowering quality of his ex, Selena Gomez.

I listen to Selena’s music literally every day, since early 2010. It lifts me up where I belong.

So that’s not a fair comparison.

But Justin’s music is good. Not quite my style with a few exceptions, but he’s popular for a reason.

And it’s not just his butt or whatever.

He’s produces some genuinely good songs.

And the context in that radio interview was them listening to the remix of “Despecito” that features Justin.

Like … it’s a good song.

No matter what you feel about the Biebs, don’t pretend that a pleasant song isn’t.

You come across sounding like a bitter fool, you know?

Then again … it’s awfully hard to argue with someone with hair as nice as Zac Hanson’s.

But we’re not sure where they got the gumption to come after Justin’s work when their careers haven’t exactly endured as much as Justin’s.

Sure, they still tour and people still know who they are, but Justin’s been famous since he was a minor and he’s still one of the most famous singers in the world.

You don’t have to like him, but … don’t compare the guy to an STI, you know?

Also, who the heck says “venereal diseases” anymore? That’s a super dated term with misogynistic undertones.

Kind have to wonder what other one-hit wonders have artists who would disappoint us today. …
