Last night’s Counting On season premiere was notable for the absence of two of the show’s most popular former cast members.
Derick Dillard was fired by TLC following a recent social media tirade, and his wife Jill has reportedly stepped away from the spotlight as a show of solidarity.
But just because Jill and Derick are no longer reality stars, that doesn’t mean fans have stopped scrutinizing every aspect of their personal lives!
The latest rumor about life in the Dillard home is that Jill is pregnant with her third child.
There’s been no official confirmation, but many believe Jill has been dropping hints on social media in recent weeks.
First, there was a seemingly unremarkable Instagram photo in which eagle-eyed fans discovered a hidden clue.
Note the bottle of prenatal vitamins behind Derick’s head.
Shortly thereafter, Jill posted a photo that fans believe contained yet another subtle hint.
The pic showed her holding her youngest son, Samuel.
She captioned the post:
“Love my #babies #samuelscottdillard”
It’s the use of the plural “babies” that has fans talking.
While Jill does have two kids, only one of them was pictured in the photo.
Which is why some of her followers think Jill’s hashtag was her way of suggesting she’s got a bun in the oven.
It’s a stretch, but the comments section blew up with speculation about a third Dillard baby on the way.
“I think she’s pregnant too. #babies and also looks like a baby bump too,” wrote one fan.
And it’s not hard to see why Duggar obsessives are convinced will be hearing a big announcement from Jill in the very near future.
Back in 2014, Jill told People magazine that she has every intention of raising a very large family:
“Both of us want as many kids as God will give us and we’ve talked about adoption,” she told the outlet.
“My parents have kept popping them out so we’ll see how [our] fertility is!”
While 19 kids is certainly a tall order, it seems Jill and Derick are up to the task … which means you’ll likely hear some big news from the young family very soon.
